Unavoidable Inflation every where! When we discovered these August 2019 I remember them being 5.99/6.99?!
Lisa P.

Our family has lived in this area since June 2018 finding three Kroger Fred Meyer Stores within our stomping grounds. This particular one seems to be the one we most frequent. Also when visiting family in Tucson and Phoenix, go to Kroger Fry's which is the same franchise. The variety, quality, freshness and service has always been good. We are most often there grocery shopping but it is so convenient to also be able to get Starbucks and, or household, automobile, general and Seasonal essentials. We always find clean, well organized, easy to find inventory and staff facility's. Self check out is our preferred method. Also appreciated are phones to pick up and ask for help though I think that may only be their Nursery, Automotive, and Hardware department. I will have to try to check on that next visit. I am impressed how they are now stocking many choices of healthier and plant based, Vegetarian and Vegan options! They definitely have more competitive prices then Safeway! The Produce department is so colorful and offers many Organic options. Fred Meyer/Kroger creates lots of jobs in our local areas as well. Especially since the Pandemic with home deliveries, re-stocking the high demands etc. Kudo's

Cart corral
Jeff K.

Watch out where you park you car! South Hill Fred Meyer has "movable cart return cages" that are not anchored into the pavement. It's the only parking lot I've ever seen without cart return corrals not concreted into the ground. My wife who has been a regular shopper here since it opened came out from her shopping to find the cart return corral stuffed into the front of her car. It left a noticeable scratch on her front bumper. After showing the store manager and trying to work with their insurance carrier Sedgwick, they decided to deny her claim for damage. Why would they not anchor those cart return corrals into the ground? The claims person said it was because of storms that they are movable. What BS. Since this incident, I have personally seen people return their carts to these "movable " return corrals and the force of the cart being pushed into the corral moves the corral in that direction. After several carts are returned, the return corral is completely out of the parking stall it was put in. To sum it up, after 20 years of shopping here, she will no longer shop at Fred Meyer and the money she saves shopping elsewhere will easily pay for the damage repair.

Napa cabbage purchased for today 7/17 9am pickup and brought home.

Staff have been a mixed groups of good and bad. During the pandemic, we've solely relied on pickup, delivery or online shopping with young children at home and high risk. Overall, we've had a good experience, but there have been 4 occasions, yes, 4 where the produce comes out rotten for pickup. Rotten produce. Then you call the store who transfers you to pickup manager and we got snooty butt. I'm sure she'd be tooting another tune in person. You know the type with bad attitude till she runs into someone who is bigger than the bully types. Yup. I stayed polite, took her name and called corporate and shared my piece of mind. Who in turn credited the photographed rotten produce. The cantaloupe was molded when cut into. Fresh? Wth?!??! It ain't fresh in the western hemisphwre or southern. SMH. Then this l a st time, we got napa cabbage and today there were white larvae and black gnats inside, see pic below. Tried calling, got routed three times by customer service after getting through auto system. The folks bringing out groceries are hard working and even confused with the sub items and try to be helpful, but in several reviews I've said they should inspect the crappy produce with customers. When I spoke to the person in customer service she would only credit item produce not by weight by item. So if item was 1.99 lb she only gave you 1.99 instead of the actual weight. We went round and round and I eventually had to ask for her supervisor hoping for more brains. What cabbage weighs 1 lb? Smh. Napa cabbage are the giant things used for Asian cooking. They're monstrous in size if not organic. Ok, so after 4 times and patience wearing thin, I had to write a review. Sometimes we get such helpful awesome service, but lately this is all we can do. We are vaccinated, but our babies aren't so we just tell folks to avoid getting produce from any fred meyers pickup as they grab without caring what they purchase. We've had green pepp we rs bruised and rotten, napa cabbage 2x, cantaloupe, and cherries and grapes. The cherries and grapes were older than my deceased family. Nasty. After a hold time of 35min and trying chat with no luck, I'm posting here. See pic? Look closer and u can see larva and gnats crawling. I mean you'd have to have a blind shopped bot see what they put in cart.

Miles at this location just knocked my socks off with GREAT customer service! I was shopping at this location for the "buy 2, get 2 for free" deal on the 4 pack of my favorite beverage. There were only 3 on the shelf. I asked Miles if there were any in back-stock, and he promptly checked for me, but sadly there were none left. Privately I was prepared for the usual "sorry, can't do it" at that point, but he wasn't done helping me yet- So this amazing fellow gets 4 (cold!) individual cans to "make" a four pack, completing the deal and I happily left with what I sought, in a clever roundabout way. Happy not only that your great ad price was honored, but that a younger person totally "gets" what customer service is all about! I'll always visit this location loyally, remembering Miles and his thoughtful service. How many others like him are there, anxious to find out!

All I got was a shrug from the customer service saying "sorry this area is sketchy". She totally blew me off. Came back again to the self service check out person and told her I thought I saw the male outside with my wallet. No offers to review security footage. We love Tacoma Boys! Quality meats, fresh produce, unique wines, and so much more…read more Tacoma Boys is a local grocery chain open 24/7 and 365 days a year. As a Vegas girl who was used to having grocery stores open at all hours, I'm so grateful that Tacoma boys has adopted that Vegas vibe. After all, when a girl wants to make a steak at 3am, she's gotta have a place to get one from and that's when Tacoma Boys saves the day! We also love their florals and beautiful plants that can make your porch or backyard the best of the whole block. We will always shop here and we encourage fellow Washingtonians to do the same. You'll be so glad you did!

Out of all fairness not being familiar with the store to find items really wouldn't be fair to deduct stars on. I was in here maybe once or twice and as to be expected in an unfamiliar store you can't find the product you enjoy right away but on the flip side when the arrangement of the store is different you also find things you didn't previously see from your favorite locations. And in the case of Tacoma Boys that really isn't an exception. But however I didn't like the arrangement in a different regard as it seemed like there were a lot of blind corners with the aisles here making possible collisions with other customers a greater likelihood and I am not convinced many people can control their shopping carts any better than controlling their cars. Which brings up the factor of congestion which is noticeably increased due to the mall and various other shops and business around here increasing the traffic volume and congestion a great deal. The Tacoma and Lakewood locations don't have this trouble nearly as much. The two factors mentioned above is what contributes to my star deduction. But still if you are close to this location and you are willing to put up with the volume of traffic then this is still a good grocery store to go to. The quality of the groceries, the produce is excellent and they have a good beer and wine section if that is something you want to explore.

Hello everyone. I'd like to begin with saying that I'm not close to a Winco. The closest one is…read moreabout 30 miles away so you better be decent if I'm going to come to you. That being said, we travel to the Winco in Puyallup about 1-2 times a month. It is that good! Here's why: Hubby & I are disabled. It's important to us that the isles are wide enough for the electric carts & so we're not in the way of others coming through as well. The staff is cheerful, helpful & attentive (for the most part). For us the deli is the hub & Gloria is the best! We order multiple containers of salads & ceviche to take home. In comparison to the other Winco's, they are the BEST hands down! The pea salad is creamy & you can taste every ingredient in it. The bacon, the onion, the peas, the cheese & they meld together so good. In other Winco's, I'm sorry to say, I find them always lacking in something . The ceviche? Omgoodness! The awesome thing about this particular Winco is, they take the time to shred the crab meat. I don't know if that's a big deal for you but for us, we like to get meat in every bite of our crab salads or ceviche. The other Winco's leave big chunks of crab (to each his own) & you either get crab or salad ‍. Today when we went in, they we're out of ceviche. Gloria literally stopped making what she was making & told my hubby to come back in 15 min & she would have the ceviche ready for us. I've had other staff at other Winco's simply tell me they were out. Period. When I inquired if they could make more I was told it was against policy to do that . Thank you Gloria for going above & beyond! I could go on but I think that should cover why this is an exemplary Store. Thank you for listening. I just tell it like it is ...

So as my go to guide I yelped it! And up popped Kusher Bakery. You know I had to go and today we went there. It's an Eastern European bakery, and grocery store with products from multiple Eastern Europe countries. The selections are very good and then there is the bread baked daily except on Sunday. A bonus is the fact all the fresh baked bread can be sliced for you or you can take it home and slice it yourself. Having this service is great. Dark rye, 12-grain, and others that are....... well too many and all looked delicious. There is fresh baked Lavash, soft and delicious and many of the breads were still warm and fresh. The fresh piroshki! Awesome to say the least, Chicken, Cheese, Cabbage, and Apricot were available and hot. Look you can go to the other market on 70th and get very good stuff and pay quite a lot more, or go to Kusher and get a better selection and pay reasonable prices. Yes it is smaller but bigger is not always better and having this small place is a positive. For me Kusher wins hands down. So go, look around and get some awesome stuff.

I had initially drove past and ended up having to do a u-turn from the adjacent Dawn site. I was happy to get a parking spot close to the entrance, great timing! I was looking forward to checking out this popular market, bakery, and cafe. I ended up wandering along most of the aisles and peered at various displays, bins, and speed carts. It is a bit cramped even with a smaller shopping cart. Add in other shoppers and workers doing restocking concurrently, just exercise caution maneuvering throughout the market. I have shopped at various Eastern European, Ukrainian, and Russian markets located in Everett, Lynnwood, Shoreline, North Seattle, and Tacoma/Parkland. So I had a baseline of what to expect. It had a decent variety that was comparable to other sites. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available for onsite dining. The freshly baked goods, like danishes, croissants, danishes, and breads were arranged on various speed carts. Larger sized and at great value. I was able to snag a large loaf of Ukrainian bread after the initial swarm of folks pounced on the speed carts. I just jumped in, donned a clean food safe glove, and placed a loaf into a bread bag. There are also desserts that grab your attention in the cafe area. It's a bit chaotic with folks wanting cakes from the refrigerated cases and other items from the pastry case. The featured fruit desserts and ginormous filled croissants are a bit pricey though. Despite it being past the lunch rush, I passed on any cafe items and made my way to the checkout area. It was a good haul!
