I recently had an extremely disappointing encounter with a customer service employee named William at the North Puyallup Fred Meyer. After a long and stressful day of shopping, I was shocked by the rude and unprofessional behavior from the start. The situation escalated when William falsely accused me of shoplifting a pair of joggers for my 6-year-old son. This accusation was based on a mix-up with receipts, as the one given to me didn't even belong to my purchase. Instead of verifying the situation by contacting the employee who assisted me, William immediately assumed I had stolen merchandise I had already paid for. Not only did he demand I pay for the same item again to remove the security tag, but his lack of willingness to listen and verify the facts was appalling. A simple conversation with the cashier who originally helped me could have easily clarified the misunderstanding. Instead, I was subjected to disrespect, baseless accusations, and a complete disregard for customer service. This experience was not only inconvenient but also tarnished my perception of the store's commitment to customer satisfaction. My wife and I have shopped at Fred Myer 1100N. Merifian for 20years. Recently we have seen homeless bums that are slow ling taking over the store. They stand at doors with a sign asking for money. Some are beginning to walk around the store and slowly get customers used to them, so they can 'hang" out in the store. The sit against the wall in the passage ways between entrance doors. The are disgusting useless part of humanity. Most are males that are big and strong and could work, but why work when you are given everything free! I have worked silnce I was 16, at 5'2". I would have given Fredy four stars (room for improvement) but now wilth the bums there and the store not keeping them away, I have to give it only two stars. The bums in the store are filthy! Today I was required to show my I.D. to purchase Redi-Whip! Not only did they require me to show my I.D., but they also insisted on SCANNING my driver's license. The clerk said she would get fired if she did not scan my license. I am 60 years old. I have shopped at this store for 33 years. I have a membership, I purchase all my family's groceries, I use the pharmacy, and I purchase my gas at this store. The store has homeless people roaming around the store and parking lot and doing illegal drugs in their cars. I have watched people steal merchandise on several visits and walk out the door with stolen goods. But I cannot buy Redi-Whip without scanning my identification??? It's time to find a new store. This has gone too far! Fred Meyer and Kroger have their priorities messed up. read more

I used to work there and it was the worst job anyone can have. The managers don't care about anything but themselves. Coworkers were rude! I got bullied there and they all called me a fat name as well. They let me go because I didn't have enough motivation to push carts and after I left I heard that they talked crap about me called me lazy and still called me a fat name! I worked my butt off and did my actual job better than anyone working there at the time. I don't like Fred meyers and I don't plan on going there ever again. read more

This review is about their pharmacy. I have used it all the time and have been very satisfied until recently. The last 3 or 4 times, my doctor has called in a prescription around noon and when I go to pick it up after work (around 6:00) - it is not ready or has even been picked up off their answering machine. Unfortunately, there aren't many choices for pharmacies in downtown Puyallup, so I will continue to patronize them. Just home someone reads this and the service improves. read more

Massive selection, and the employees here are really nice. David (checker) in particular gets a shout-out for great, friendly service. Fresh sushi, awesome produce selection, crazy awesome deli department- the selection is almost overwhelming. Only thing that could really be improved would be prices for the sushi, in my opinion- the prices are actually higher than what you pay in a restaurant. read more

Old lady Jennifer that was working at the play area made my daughter cry. Her grandma took her to the store and of course she wanted to play but the old lady barked No you need to be a parent or have a court order. I understand that but she didn't need to look at my 4 year old daughter and bark no. She cried the whole time at the store and thought she was getting taken away. read more

They just remodeled this place and it rocks. The only thing I don't like is the parking lot, and really, who cares. All employees are so nice and so helpful. Every department is just huge with a ton of selection- so much good stuff it's almost exhausting in a way- a good way. read more

Rude customer service lady called Tracy. Spoke to me like I was a piece of dirt when I did a return. Shes very sarcastic and downright rude.

Do not put nasty hot pink frosting on your tarts!!!!! It tastes absolutely disgusting. HAD I KNOWN I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT IT!!!!
