The pharmacy just told me they are not able to process Medicare payment plan transactions. If you have a Medicare payment plan, take your prescription to any other pharmacy to get help. They were very rude with constant interruptions and lack of willingness to escalate or resolve the issue. read more

I love shopping at Fred Meyer, the store employees are usually always cheery and we chat it up as they bag my groceries, not tonight tho, tonight was different. Dea the lady running the family checkout lane might've just been having a bad day but I suspect it's more along the lines of her not wanting to be there or hates her job. It was obvious that her demeanor was having a negative effect on the kid bagging my groceries as well just by her response to him merely trying to find out what a missed scanned item was. I was trying to get a smile or any type of reaction out of her other than blah. Asked about imitation vanilla extract, nothing. My jokes about thinking the daikon was an oversized white carrot, not even a smirk. Google searched the image to find the name in order for her to ring it up. I always wait to the end to enter my phone number so I can watch the price drop with all the savings, it's quite a highlight to my shopping experience, but of course she didn't share this feeling with me, instead asked several times to another guy if she could leave since I was her last customer. Happy to say that everyone else in the store that night was nice and pleasant wishing me a good evening as I exited the store. The guy that collects all the shopping carts, unsure of his name, even asked if I needed a hand loading my groceries in the car which was super helpful especially how heavy they were. He at least earned a cash tip unlike the bum from 2 seconds before was asking for a free handout. Overall, Fred Meyer is still the best and blows Safeway, Albertsons, Target and all the rest autta the park when it comes to prices, friendly employees and enough open lanes that aren't self checkouts even up to the last minute the store is open...I love that! Let me preface this by saying I typically love Freddie's, and shopping here has been pleasant, I know where everything is as my whole family has been shopping here for years. However lately I can barely stand to step foot in this location. The music blasting from the overhead speakers is so obnoxiously loud that I can't even remember what I came in for. I just grab what I can remember quickly and get out as fast as I can. Its absolutely horrible. And the younger African American lady working the customer service desk is SO rude. Like why work in customer service if you hate it that much....if there is another employee up there she won't even bother acknowledging you. A Fred Meyers employee at the 1100 N Meridian Ave Puyallup location harassed me for months, physically threatened me on multiple occasions, told me he would catch me outside in the parking lot, and store management have ignored my concerns. I've tried repeatedly to speak to management to avoid having to involve corporate, tried to resolve the issue cordially through email after having had to escalate to corporate, and now not one of my emails have been responded to after a week. Management in person demonstrated an absence of concern for my customer experience, physically attempting to walk away from me repeatedly while I shared my experience. In email, management refused to answer my question of whether or not I would be safe going forward in their store, and has ignored all further correspondence. I've tried repeatedly to find an off ramp here, a solution that doesn't involve causing drama. However, at this point in time I'm left with nothing but to share my experience. The following is an account of my experiences. For the past five months I've had 8 interactions with the employee who harassed and threatened me. First week's interaction while walking an aisle he yelled angrily at me to stop so another customer could get past. Second week's interaction, he was working on a shelf I needed so I asked "Excuse me sir, would you mind passing me that item?" The same employee glared at me, barked at me that he didn't work there, and walked away. Third week's interaction, I walked by the employee in an aisle and as I walked past he turned quickly towards me to glare and mutter angrily under his breath while moving as if to strike me from behind. Fourth and fifth week's interaction were the same. I tried to walk by and ignore him and he made a point to turn on me quickly as if to strike me from behind while muttering angrily. Sixth week's interaction, he was working on a shelf I needed so I said, "Excuse me sir, would you mind passing that item?", so he didn't have to move. He ignored me completely and walked away, at which point I stated, "I don't know why you hate me. But Jesus loves you, I love you, I have nothing against you brother, God bless you." I did this as an attempt to resolve whatever animosity he obviously had towards me. Seventh week's interaction, he had blocked off an aisle so I asked, "Excuse me sir, may I get by?" He turned sharply and angrily ordered me to never call him that again. I spoke to an assistant manager that day and gave them a play by play of everything that's happened over the past few months. This manager repeatedly walked away from me while telling me he's got it. I repeatedly had to ask the manager to let me tell him my experience. He did everything he could to communicate disdain and a lack of concern for my experience. Eighth incident the next week I see the employee who'd been harassing me again. Knowing that management had no concern for my situation, and believing the issue to likely stem from some sort of pronoun preference, I asked the employee his name. His immediate remark was, "Let me catch you outside." I walked away. I spoke to another manager immediately after, and endeavored to explain the situation. This time the manager didn't endeavor to make their disdain for my concerns obvious, however I had zero faith and emailed customer support to inquire whether or not I should continue shopping at their store. I didn't feel safe or comfortable shopping somewhere that my safety and customer experience was of so little concern. Customer support told me I would receive an email from management, which I did from the same assistant manager who had demonstrated his disdain for my concerns already. I once again tried everything I could to find an offramp, or a way that we could reasonably and professionally resolve my concerns in a manner that kicked up the least dust/drama as possible. He refused to respond to my email. I endeavored to email him again asking the same things, and again no response. It's been a week now and I've given up on trying to work with Fred Meyer's management. I've made great efforts to work with everyone I've interacted with and repeatedly I've been met with disdain for both my experience and safety. I'm left with nothing but to share my experiences with others in the hopes that nobody else goes through this. I'll be sharing this email with the Better Business Bureau and multiple levels of Fred Meyer's leadership. read more

Typically, I try and stray from writing reviews for chains/places that aren't pretty local. That said, this Fred Meyer has saved my lifeee the last few months. I moved to the area back in October, and this has been my go-to spot for grocery shopping after discovering Amazon Fresh didn't deliver to my new address (the HORROR). I've shopped inside a few times and it's always clean, things I need are always in stock, and staff is helpful. The lines can get a bit congested, but... We're in a pandemic, staffing is short. Not much that can really be done. But, let's get to the life-saving part. I have two small children, so grocery shopping is really not ideal. It's borderline a nightmare. I would almost rather eat a jean jacket than do a full week's of grocery shopping with my children. You can shop for everything you need on their website, place the order for pickup, and drive right up to get your stuff. Now, I know we're on calendar year number 3 of a pandemic so this isn't a wild concept anymore, but I'm still SO thankful for it! I'm able to get all of my grocery shopping done, roll up, and someone loads my car for me. And they're always so nice! Additional bonus - if you shop on the Fred Meyer website, it automatically applies coupons and discounts for you if they have any available. I've saved a ton of money from this service which is always appreciated. It's not always possible to get your groceries picked up the same day due to how busy things have been with Omicron, but I've never had a pickup be any later than one day out. Fred Meyer has all the things that you'd expect to find at a grocery store and then some as it also serves as a mini department store for all of your needs. This store has a very strange layout in comparison to the other ones I usually go it, but it gets the job done most of the time. I have the rule I'll look in 3 places for an item and after that I'll just give my money to someone else. This store is a bit of a hunt & peck for me since the layout is so different, but I'm always able to find my staple items where I expect them to be. The prices are pretty on par with the rest of the grocery stores, I even find good deals in the auto section fairly regularly. Somewhat recently they decided that you now must have a store card to get the savings. I was able to sign up within a few minutes while I was walking around the store, so it's not all that bad. read more

I have three locations of Fred Meyer close to me. I use all three depending where I am at the I am shopping. I like the fact that they have security guards now at all three of my stores and the cameras in the parking lot. I find that most of the clerks are very nice, friendly and helpful. I always fill out the online point system to add more points so I can get gas cheap. Last time I did, I made a comment about in store theft. I got an email the next day to inquire about what I saw. I visited the store at 10.56 Pm to quickly purchase one item before closing at 11 pm. Despite customers still being inside, an employee named JULIE refused me entry citing a company policy that I later discovered was innacurate. Her approach felt direspecful and I was left feeling uncomfotable due to what seemed to be racially baised behavior.I believe all customers deserve respectful and polite service. Fred Meyer is a one stop shop. You can come here for grocery shopping as well as the electronics department, the clothing section for women's men's and children as well as books, calendars school and office supplies, home improvement department to include household items for every Room in your home A large children's toy section and also a lawn and garden department. I like coming here for their deli counter items to include sandwiches come of the hot case, that Cold Case filled with different types of salads, a wide variety of cheeses as well as deli meats that are pre sliced and sold at a discount price. Although Fred Meyers is a little on my higher cost side you get good quality items and you can always use coupons to lower your expense. read more

People are trying to socially distance themselves while simultaneously having to search every damn aisle for where their food moved to. Secondly, my grandmother cannot wear a mask because she has a collapsing lung, and the Fred Meyer staff was extremely rude to her and kicked her out of the store and told her to not come back. Called to voice my opinion about the new fence/gate system, they have put in. On top of the armed security guard at every door. My opinion is they should not attack us. The normal shoppers who come there multiple times a week, and spent thousands of our hard earned money, yearly. I called to tell them that I am pretty much done shopping there and they will no longer get my family's business. I said that they should go after our government who has allowed the theft and the thieves to thrive and to quit attacking us family people. It is not fair that we have to go to a store with our children and get checked out by an armed security guard inside a gated fenced area. Been shopping at the Puyallup store for 8 years now. Used to be a very friendly store. But I found myself amongst sad faces. There was no eye contact, no smiles. no nods. One employee helped unlock my cart. After the wheels locked up, alarm went off, and all eyes were on myself and daughter. This experience was just sad. Everything about it. No customer service! 3 bags of groceries for $150.. I used self check (there were only 3 registers open with real people) and the place was packed . then having the cart just lock up on us. Being looked at like we did something wrong. But we are to expect nothing less. It's a huge corporation. Making changes, supposedly trying to better the shopping experience, but they got it all wrong.. it's a miserable place to shop! read more

Okay.. I've been shopping at Fred Meyers, for yeaaarrrrrssss. Husbands company gives us a $50 check issued by Bank of America,(Butterball) every year to be purchase groceries- instructions attached. Cashier (Carolyn) has NO idea what this check is for, calls over a Lead Clerk I imagine ( Rachael), who literally had the worst customer service along with the cashier. Carolyn is questioning my purchase. I admit my purchases were general stuff (groceries all perishable items). I'm sorry but I've never been so embarrassed and treated like I was doing something wrong... Fred Meyers, please train your cashiers & lead clerk to have customer service and educate them on your check policies. These checks are a KNOWN thing given by companies. Total was $44... that's after I spent $8 on unnecessary purchase of gum to get me to $50... I ate the rest of the money. Thank God for the nice man behind me, who was beyond supportive of me. Nothing is more frustrating then killing yourself to get to the pharmacy to pick up important meds for a love one n get there right at 1:00 and have the rude pharmicist n employees tell you, we are closed for lunch from 1 to 2. I understand you all have to eat, but, why cant you have just 1 or 2 employees be there during lunch just for picking up meds. Have them take turns taking a different lunch hour. If someone needs Pharmicist counseling, then tell them come back at 2:00 to talk to pharmicist. You are a pharmacy with peoples important meds. Unfortunately, I could not wait so I left without the meds. So frustrating!!!! read more

I have been shopping at this particular Fred Meyer on an almost weekly basis since 1994. It was a terrific store, clean, well-organized, excellent customer service. I go to the bank here, use the pharmacy, rent Rug Doctor steam cleaners here, buy small appliances here. But no more. They recently remodeled. I get that. Change is good. It was very chaotic for awhile during the remodel. OK, give it time. Well, now it's done. I've shopped there a bunch of times here since the remodel, and still can't figure out the logic of the store. I hate that there is a massive aisle devoted solely to soda, but I can't find many of the products previously located in the natural foods section. During my most recent visit, I wanted to buy some of the "grind your own" almond butter, which the store used to have, but I could not locate. I asked a very friendly clerk where it was. He was able to tell me where the jarred almond butter was, but was unclear where the grinders were. "I don't know where that would be. They might have gotten rid of that in the remodel." OK, whatever. So for now, and maybe forever, it's back to the Sumner WinCo, which I shopped at during the Freddies'remodel. It's cheaper than FM, and I can find the groceries I need. I'll say it louder for the people in the back: Cheaper than Fred Meyers. Freddie, our relationship was great for a long time, but you've changed. We're breaking up. You just can't meet my need for hassle-free, budget-friendly shopping. read more

I tried renting a Rug Doctor from this location. I purchased the cleaners and rented the attachments and the carpet cleaner. I made my trip while my daughter was at school specifically so I wouldn't have to lug her around and to make the process easier. I got the Rug Doctor home and went to use the attachment. Didn't work. So I called up Fred Meyer irritated that the machine didn't work. They said all they could do was exchange it for a new one. So I had to go back, this time with my daughter so they wouldn't charge me for a full day. Not to mention flushing the cleaning product I was intending to use because of the malfunction. When I got there they didn't want to give me a refund.... They said all they could do was switch it out. Ridiculous. I'm not going to pay for your junky cleaners anymore. I talked to three people before they agreed to just refund me for the machines. Not even the wasted cleaning product. Bad customer service, in my opinion. read more

This store has decided not to enforce wearing mass for their patrons yet they require all their employees today to wear masks and gloves and they won't be enforcing it until Tuesday because that's when they can be fined. They also aren't wiping off the keypads that we have to put our credit cards into and type our hands on it I asked for sanitizer and was told that they didn't have any to you lies nor did they wipe it off yet they had a giant display of hand sanitizer . I am an asthmatic and I can't shop in a store that doesn't care about their customers just their employees I have to make sure that they care about everyone otherwise I could get seriously ill and yes I am a senior citizen. read more

The main drawback of this Fred Meyers is that its a little harder to get in and out of then some the other Fred Meyers I have been to, With that being said, this is a great store to do shopping at, very clean fast service and for most part good prices on everything.
