Not a good experience or customer service. Purchased Bose sound bar display and manager was not around to disassemble. After 15 minutes of waiting asked to have them call me when it was ready. The manager called and told me that it was not available and they could not get me one since it was a "special store remodel price". I had to come in and wait forever in the customer service line to return the sound bar that I never got. Come on Fred Meyer. Your customer service is terrible. You should have honored the price and got me another one. read more

I just got home from my first black Friday experience at Fred Meyer - but only as my daughter's 'cart protector' and token 'save our place in line' role. From everything that I have heard from my wife and kids about black Friday shopping over the years, I was pretty impressed with Fred Meyer. A lot of staff walking around to help and suggest what was on sale and when. And the checkers seemed to be having fun too - smiling and super friendly. There were a few customers shopping who clearly should have stayed in bed for another hour or two - and even those didn't dent the Fred Meyer crew's enthusiasm. I was really excited to shop at the Monroe location after their remodel. I enjoy having the Natural Food section with the rest of the store, I really enjoy the wider aisle. Unfortunately, the store is not well staffed, the wait to be checked out is way too long. The checkers don't have the option to bag your groceries as they go and not enough baggers to help. By the look of it, i think you are expected to bag your own groceries. They have installed so many self check stations which I enjoy for a few items but not for a shopping cart full of groceries. Also , please keep your store well stocked during the week, my days off are during the week. read more

As a Fred Meyer fiend, this is my favorite Fred Meyer to date (I've been to more then 15 of them in Washington and Oregon lol). It's always clean, its laid out very intuitively and the employees are really nice. I usually encounter friendly helpful employees at this store, but not on Wednesday Jan 22, 2014. The checker (Kristi) was unbelievably rude, discourteous, and provided very poor customer service. WHY is someone with such a negative attitude working in customer service? Especially at this store that is known for good customer service. This Fred Meyer is under a lot of construction right now. I used to love coming here, but it is a bit chaotic to find anything in the store right now due to things being moved constantly from the remodel. That being said, the floor staff is usually pretty helpful and they seem to have more floor staff to accommodate the remodel, which is nice. However, their key department is a joke, seriously, dont buy keys at Fred Meyer. Other than that I usually can ultimately find what i need and the prices are fair. So thankful to Monroe Fred Meyer. I went in at about 10:30 this morning, right after the power came back on after being out this morning. Their coolers in the meat section were completely empty. I cautiously asked an employee when they thought the the meat would be added back to the coolers. He asked what I was looking for (told him) and he promptly delivered a beautiful prime rib to me. Just as the star rating says, this location is A-OK. Nothing special or exciting about this store. Being in Monroe, there is limited resources when it comes to clothes or shoes purchasing and their pricing is higher than average. It's more like shopping at Nordstom with Walmart quality clothing. I'm not saying that Fred Meyers quality is lacking but rather that their pricing is high. They have a great selection in the grocery department and their staff is great. The store is clean and organized and I have shopped here many times due to their location. read more

We use Fred Meyer for household items and it's our main grocery store. I routinely save 7-15% on my bills, because I take the time to use their flyer AND I look at the grocery coupons that come out in the mail. Their selection is not vastly wide but they have lots of Asian foodstuffs, and it's enough for 99% of my food needs. Their seafood, deli, and booze make it so that I don't need to do a separate trip. Their gas program is an extra bonus; I always save 10 or 30 cents a gallon, which adds up. I think their prices on groceries are as good as one can get around here, only about 5-10% higher than in Illinois, and I had anticipated more from what I had read about cost of living here before I moved. All the employees have been great; I have never seen ONE with an attitude. In fact, it's the complete opposite: they are always happy to help without it seeming like a tribulation. I have had to return a few items and they were always great about it. Their clothes are not high fashion but are just fine for what I and my family need. It's also really convenient, right by the hardware store and other stops. Sometimes they are out of sale items, but I think it's because I have gone in several days later (it's not like they list a "sale" and only put out 5 items). read more

My husband and I live in Monroe. We were going to Fred Meyer because we always liked the other ones we have gone to around washington but time after time I find myself leaving the store with not everything on my list because they ran out. Then I have to go to Safeway just to get those couple items. So for a few months we have just gone to Safeway and then I needed something that Fred Meyers has always had, tempah and a couple other items. I was enjoying my shopping until I reached the refriderator that always has Tempeh and guess what. It was not there. I asked the guy that worked there if they had any in back and was told they hadn't stocked it for a month or so. Off to Safeway I went and will continue to go. This is disappointing because I prefer Fred Meyers but I don't want to go to 2 different stores. read more

The pharmacy is horrible. There is always a long line, the employees move so slow and are rude. Not helpful at all and seem inconvinced when you ask for help. Also more expensive then other pharmacies in town. All around, thumbs down! read more

My two favorite stores are Monroe and Snohomish Fred Meyer. The employees are always kind and courteous, as well as very helpful. As a customer, I can tell that in both locations, people really like their jobs. Fred Meyer has great prices, inventory, selection and fresh produce and bakery items. I tried the grocery delivery service for the first time last Wed. Went about ordering all my items. Got a nice text from the girl that was filling my order and talked frequently while she was doing the shopping. Shortly after receiving a text that she was done and would be seeing me soon, my entire order got cancelled. Called the number that was given to me to call if this was in error and was immediately transferred to another dept. Waited on hold for 35 min to be transferred again to "Instacart" which was the third party that was doing the order/delivery. Waited on hold again for about 20 min for her to also say I cancelled the order. Explained that no i did not and to please send me my groceries. She explained that since I cancelled all was put back and order closed. I informed that they withdrew the 209$ from my account so could I please have the groceries or at least refund my account. She said the money was just "on hold" and would be refunded by end of day....it was already 8:30 pm by then since I had been on hold so long. So that night was done, no groceries and no money. Repeated this process daily for the next 3 days. Still no money or groceries BUT, i did get a survey to take...lol. Finally reached a woman on Saturday, after being on hold for 2.5 hours and 3 different departments, that took a little closer look and realized that true, I had NOT been refunded my money and said she would push that process thru now. So today is Wednesday again and I still do not have my refund. I have always been a fan of Fred Meyer but not anymore. I am a single mom on a very tight food budget and me and my kids have been without groceries and money to get more for 7 days. I have had to borrow and go to the food bank for my food this past week. Great store with nice, helpful employees. They are quick to open new registers when it get busy and have a designated manager who will direct you to the shortest checkout line. Crazy selection of everything you could want and they are very supportive of local schools, community groups and nonprofits. Can't find what you want? Just ask, they'll order it for you. It's bad when you purchase a lunch salad with the pull date of 6/27 and when take it to work with you and open it to eat and find that every piece of lettuce has brown spots on it and smells bad. To late now, I am hungry, mad and never will buy "fresh" food at Fred Meyer again. I think putting a pull date of 6/27 was kind of a lie. The date today is 6/21!!! read more
