I've shopped here once every other year or so. Why? Apparently, I need to stop giving them endless second chances. Here are some of the things: - several years ago, I went to this location to get copies of my house key. They lost my original key and the copies they made didn't work. - a few times I was interested in items in their furniture/house decoration area, I just gave up because it was just impossible to get anyone to help me. - earlier this week, bought 8 pieces of fried chicken, the gal with mis-shaped face put only 7. When I pointed that out, without bothering to double check, she went ahead and put stickers on and handed it to me saying she put 8 pieces. After walking a few feet away, I stopped, opened the bag and looked in. Yup, just 7. Turned around and told her. No apology. Asked me what piece is missing, throws in a piece and hands the bag to me. Still no apology. - then on my way out, as I was returning the shopping cart to where they stacked them right inside their entrance, an employee bringing several carts back in looked at me and didn't bother slowing down or stopping and proceeded to bumped me hard with the carts. No apologies, just stared at me. I gave that &^%@ a piece of my mind. SHUDDER!!! I'll not be going back to any Fred Meyer, too many other options around here with BETTER customer service and better pricing to put up with their endless lameness. read more

Grocery store clean and the checker was friendly. A plus but then it went downhill from that point! We needed gas and waited 11 minutes while it looked like the lady working didn't have a clue what she was doing. She waited on cars that arrived after us and after 15 minutes total waiting time we pulled away and went to Shell! I know you don't need degree at the gas pump but that was a train wreck! Plus the large blonde lady thought talking in the booth with her co worker was important because she made the only car she waited on wait 10 minutes after putting the pump in before returning to the car!!! I shop here regularly and it's a good safe place to buy stuff. Staff can be a bit sparse sometimes and it's hard to find help. However if I lift the red phones they have around the store they are fast in assisting me. This place is pricey but the convenience and kind staff make me feel like it's worth it. read more

Do not purchase gift cards from Fred Meyer. My son bought me an Amazon card from Fm, gave it to me for my birthday an hour after he bought it. I tried to load it onto my account and it was "already redeemed." I called the store and they would not accept responsibility for selling a fraud card. read more

I love this fred meyers people are so nice and helpful and its very convenient because i live close by.

Took 45 minutes to get help with malfunctioning can/bottle return machines despite talking to five different employees in and outside of store, two of whom refused to summon manager when asked to do so or do a hand count for refund after the first three lied about getting right on sending someone out to fix them. By the time someone did finally fix them other customers had cut in front of myself and the other customers who had gone inside to seek help and/or complain but Fred Meyer employee refused to do anything about it or do a hand count. A fight nearly erupted so I ended up leaving and abandoning my returnable containers without refund. read more

I like this Fred Meyer location the most out of all the other Fred Meyer located in Hillsboro and Beaverton area. This place is clean and the employees here are very friendly. I love going to their flower section because the variety of fresh flowers. When I buy flowers here,I pick different flowers and ask the florist to wrap it up like a bouquet w/o any extra charge. Sometimes when I buy food that's advertise on sale and it's out of stock, they will give me a raincheck for it. Their produce is fresh. Sometimes I get really cheap priced UO t-shirts and hoodies. I like to go to the electronic dept to listen to their cds before I buy them so I don't have to waste my money buy a cd that I end up not liking it. This is totally a one-stop shop where you can buy your clothes, jewelry, food,electronic,flowers,heath/beauty products,get your prescriptions, and get gas for your car. read more

Please teach your cashiers how to bag groceries correctly. I just came from your store and once again I have bags that are overloaded so they are too heavy to carry. This has happened to me even when I have explained that I need the bags to be lighter in weight because I have to carry them up a flight of stairs. Today I also had tomatoes, bananas, and a bag of lettuce that were squished between boxes and cans. read more

Well stocked, well organized Fred Meyer. Lots of friendly employees- 3 different (random) employees asked me if I was finding everything ok. A big plus is the self checkout. The only complaint I have is that when something is on sale, it tends to fly off the shelves and you're often out of luck. read more

decent selections in grocery, the apparel section for the men seems to be a little unorganized and cluttered, it is difficult to find certain items. good clearance/sale selections. however they do not have a good selection of dress shirts and ties, 4 colors to choose from with shirts and that's it! I would like to see a better dress clothes (business casual) selection. The underwear prices are insane! I would never pay the price that Fred Meyer has for basic white undershirts, well over $30 for a 5 pack! same for socks and underwear such as boxers and boxer briefs. I can buy them far much cheaper at Wal-Mart, or Amazon.com. for the exact same products (Hanes, fruit of the loom) if they would get the basics priced more realistically then Fred Meyer would be more of an attractive outlet for me to purchase clothes read more

Kroeger brands decently priced, otherwise everything is overpriced. But at least they have a very good selection of overpriced foods. Went to sushi station and person there refused to make any of the selections I wanted. Told me I had to choose from what was already made none of which I wanted. I took some empties back for deposit refund, and machines kept breaking down alot. I called for help after machine I was using broke. I asked for a hand scan and the employee refused to do it even though machine I was using had to be shut down. I just left bottles there--noted some homeless people there to get a few cents so i knew they would have patience to get the refunds. read more

The ongoing construction makes everything here loud, dusty, cluttered, unorganized, and a huge headache. I've found employees here rather ambivalent and not very good at customer service over all. One cashier constantly talks about herself ad nauseam about rather inappropriate subjects. Also, the parking area is awkward and poorly laid out. Who doesnt love a one stop shop store? Freddys has it all, deli, electronics, home goods, sporting goods, to just about everything. They always have nice deals going on and promos for various items at the store. We have bought a good sum of our electronics at fred meyers aswell and we are always happy with the puchase. their return poilicy could be better but its not too bad. I wish they would add a chineese section to the deli aswell. The fact that most fredmeyers have Chase banks is AWESOME. Especially that they are open later than regular brances makes cashing last min checks abreeze read more

This review is for the Fred Meyer Jewelers located inside the store. If it weren't for them I would be rating this location 4 stars. As for the FMJ, I have made a couple purchases with them and you would think that an experience at a place that has you spend several hundred to even thousands would have very consistent customer service. With them this is not the case. The last three visits I or family member has had have been poor at best. They seem to be dreading talking to us or as if I am taking them away from something important. You would think that that meant that they had multiple customers but no it was more like they were on their cell phones behind the cash registers and we disrupted them. What happened to no cells phones while on the clock??? Don't want to get anyone fired but I would truly consider having some of them be closer trained to ensure all customers get the same quality service every customer deserves and the company expects. I work in retail, so I know that at times customers can take a real toll on your emotions but we are trained to understand that our job is to service the customer to the best of our ability. I know that if any of my employees had a complaint like this or my team for that matter, I would address is immediately and take corrective action. The actions in a store reflects the store manager more than any other employee. It shows how well he ensured training was done and how much care he puts forth for his customers to create a great experience. They seem to have hired a new tattooed women with I high need for understanding the customer service portion of her job and maybe to stay off her phone behind the register. Of course I didn't expect anything less as I would imagine the ones that trained her are the ones that have been giving us the poor service. I would still recommend to make purchases at a Fred Meyer Jewelers as their prices are great but as far as doing it at this location NO. Better off driving down to another location to get true customer service. Instead of this pawn shop attitude. Hope this lights a fire on the people that control this to please fix these issues as I seem them very serious. Truly like the Walker Fred Meyer but these past experiences truly put a poor label to the location. read more
