Proven cheese pizza, toasted ravioli, St. Louis salad
Carrie G.

'm a St Louis native living in Tucson. When I heard that there is a restaurant in Phoenix that serves St Louis style food I knew I had to try it. We were recently in Phoenix and I knew we decided to stop by. I was just hoping and praying that Frasher's would not disappoint this homesick girl. We were greeted warmly as soon as we came in. Andrea was our server and she was attentive, kind and answered all of our questions about the menu. Moreover, she's a St Louis native so she knew her stuff. I ordered toasted ravioli (beef), a St Louis salad, and a cheese pizza with Provel. The t-ravs were spot on and the sauce was delicious. The salad was good and the pizza was pretty darn close to Imo's style. My heart was happy. My husband ordered the brisket and burnt ends and really enjoyed them. I will definitely be returning to Frasher's when I am in Phoenix but, to be honest, this restaurant deserves a little day trip from Tucson every now and then for a taste of home. Bonus: they also sell Provel cheese by the pound!

Holy cow! Delicious! The ribs r perfection. The mac n cheese is killer. Baked beans are phenomenal. Yea, will be returning. Happy family dinner tonight! Cool atmosphere and good vibes here. Portion sizes r spot on for the price and love they create here!

This was was an OMG foodie moment! After some searching around for a meal I ended up at FRASHER's for some BBQ.. What a classic joint with high end quality smoked meats. Ok, it's food review time. I ordered a few items, Smoked Turkey & Ribs combo, Gumbo, Burnt Ends Sandwich & chicken wings our food experiences at Frasher's has always been high quality BBQ. But one thing that I always love dining on is the smoked turkey. So moist and tender, a flavor that will stick in your mind when thinking smoked meat...

Frasher's Smokehouse is definitely worth a visit for any BBQ lover! I had a great experience here, and I'm already planning my next trip back to dive deeper into their menu. I ordered the brisket, and it was seriously tasty. It was cooked well, tender, and had that great smoky flavor you expect from a quality smokehouse. It was exactly what I was hoping for and completely satisfying. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere felt authentic and comfortable, a perfect setting for enjoying some classic BBQ. The only reason I'm holding back the fifth star is that I only tried one item! But based on the high quality of the brisket, I have high hopes for the rest of the menu. I will definitely be back soon, and I am especially intrigued and excited to try their pizza.

We had a friend visiting from California who is originally from St. Louis so we had to take him to Frasher's! It's the only place out here where you can get St Louis style thin crust "Imo's" pizza with the provel cheese. Provel is a combination of cheddar, swiss, and provolone. You can't get it anywhere in AZ but Frasher's! Trust me I've tried. We ordered a sausage and a veggie pizza. We ordered the St. Louis Salad with Romaine lettuce, Artichoke hearts, red onion, Provel cheese, and Parmesan Vinaigrette, Yum! We also ordered St Louis Toasted Raviolis, one meat order and one cheese. Everything was delicious and the marinara sauce that comes with the Raviolis is amazing. The pizza is thin crust and cut into small squares! We had to get a piece of St Louis Gooey Butter Cake for dessert. Our friend was over the moon with the St Louis meal.

Tried this place on are recommendation. Good call! Tried the ribs, brisket and turkey. All were on point with good smoke flavor. The turkey was juicy and tender. The sides of beans & mac n cheese were also flavorful. We will return.

I am not sure why I added this to my bookamarks, but we were coming back from Sky Harbor on the way home and I suggested this place. Food: Barely edible. The pulled pork was fatty and greasy. The burnt ends ordered vs what we received was a mess. They may have run out putting them on pizzas, because my order looked like cut up brisket. Some pieces were just a fatty mess. Best part of the meal, which for the 3 of us was over $100 was the toasted bread and side of corn. Service: Understaffed and one couple sat for 10 min and just left. We should have done the same... Two waiters covering the whole place. Overall: Maybe I caught them on an off night, but food was some of the worst BBQ I have ever had. Not worth coming back. sorry.

We had high hopes. I'd seen Frasher's on the Food Network a while back and we finally had a chance to try it. I will admit I went primarily for the Burnt Ends Pizza. It's a St. Louis style pizza with the cracker crust and provel cheese. It was decent, but didn't wow me. My husband chose the 2-meat plate which is his go-to at most BBQ places. He had brisket and tri-tip. For sides, he had the garlic mashed and mac & cheese. He said the meats were ok, and the mashed potatoes were probably his favorite thing. I did try the mac & cheese and found it to be rather soupy had very little cheese flavor. That was a disappointment! It also came with toast which I found odd. I would have expected a roll or even cornbread. We also decided to split the Gooey Butter Cake and I'm so glad we didn't get a separate piece each as it was far too sweet to eat the entire slice. Service was good, and the musician playing outside was nice, but the food just wasn't our favorite and with better BBQ closer to our house, we don't anticipate that we'll be back.

I came out for a golf trip with some buddies. One of the guys picked Frasher's before our visit to pop stroke. We came in on a Saturday at 1pm. We were a party of 12 which didn't seem to be a problem since we were seated immediately. We are all from California so we were all in the dark about this place. Staff was extremely diligent on tending to our every need. I had the gumbo. Not only was it the most inexpensive thing on the menu but it was the most delicious. Spicy but not too spicy filled with their recommended turkey. Everyone else had the two meat combo sandwich plate. There were no complaints. All the boys said everything was delicious. From the Mac and cheese, corn bread, brisket, burnt ends, and tri tip. No pizza or chicken was tried during our visit but the pizza looked good, they had a fresh one on the bar as we walked in. What I really liked about our visit was when we were finished eating, our server would come up to the table and say "may I take your plate." Which to me showed great manners, growing up in California we rarely come across a kind soul. So thank you for the experience. We'll drop by again next golf trip.

I've lived around the corner from this place for five years and have driven by a million times. Was craving BBQ and decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad we did. As soon as we sat down, the owner George Frasher came over and introduced himself. He said he owns three restaurants across the valley and gave us some great recommendations on the menu. The service was incredibly friendly and quick. The ribs melted off the bone and the sides were all delicious. The patio was lovely and there was live music. The prices were also great for the portion size. Love supporting a local business. Highly reccomend a visit if you haven't been before!

Just to be clear, I drink 1,000 mg electrolyte every day to replace what I sweat out during endurance running, so I'm no stranger to salt. This place is next level. STOP WITH THE SALT!

The service we received was superb, and our food came out in a timely manner. We ordered the Hickman Deviled Eggs to start and WOW!! They definitely put their own twist on these bad boys!! I was a bit worried when someone mentioned the brisket was dry.. although I had a tiny part of one that was dry, the rest of it was juicy and tender. Yummm!!! The Prime Brisket and Pulled Pork were perfectly cooked and d went well with the Sweet Potato Fries. That location became something of a semi regular stop even after I moved to the other side of the valley. I use to introduce all my friends when they visited me to Bootleggers at that location. After it closed, my husband and I decided to do a small gathering (5 people) at the Scottsdale location expecting the same experience at 4pm. Oh god how wrong I was. TLDR: If you want to be full after you ate, cool, ice in your drink, ADA accessible and have clean bathrooms, this place is not recommended. Full Review: We walked into an empty restaurant and you could tell the AC was dying/dead. It wasn't as hot as normal and we figured a place has a problem every once in awhile and continued to stay. We should have left the moment we got there The 2 girls working appearently never understood the concept ice. The water had like 3 half melted cubes in it. Considering that even though it was 120, but 101 out, and we were seated inside, you'd think there could at least be that. Now this where you might say "wow, you sound picky and entitled. its just eater." I wish I had the forethought to take pictures. Because if you were there, you would get it. I had to ask for refills for the table because they never even tried and were barely around. Reminder the place was empty minus us at 4pm. The ladies restroom had a small layer of water and I had to move random furniture to help get my mother (who is a veteran in a wheelchair) into the bathroom. It smelled horrific and was just gross. Getting her in and out was like a puzzle. So if you are wheelchair bound looking for ADA friendly, skip this unless you have a friend willing to just move the stuff in your way because there is no way you can do it. Now the Food. You would think that at least the food would be fine. That was of course the main reason I brought people there. The Apple pie moonshine and Peach moonshine were fanatic. The food tasted delicious BUT...big BUT here all the portions are hyper reduced. Like I use to get 5 eggs on the deviled eggs, only 3. The sweet potato fries of heaven, was half of the portion. Same with every single appetizer. My pork belly tacos had 3 tacos but the plating wasn't just different, but the tacos were ridiculously small. The only item that had the same portions I was accustomed to was the BBQ platter. My husband quietly paid the bill (around 300) and we left to find a place with AC and apologized profusely to our family. They were hot, still hungry and my mother felt like a burden due to the staff. I don't know if that was just the naturla difference between the 2 locations or if it has new management but, Good bye Bootleggers. NEVER AGAIN. Which is really sad because this use to be one of my favorites.

We've developed favorites in several cities, particularly when it comes to authentic Texas-style BBQ. Since moving to Arizona, we've enjoyed exploring the local BBQ scene, including Little Miss BBQ. However, after our first visit to Caldwell County BBQ, we can confidently say we've found our new local favorite! From the moment we walked through the door, the experience was exceptional. We were greeted by Mason, who immediately made us feel welcome. When he learned it was our first visit, he took the time to explain the ordering process, describe the different meats, and share his personal recommendations. Even as the line grew behind us, he never made us feel rushed. He treated us as though we were the only guests there. Mason offered samples of the beef rib, brisket, and sausage, all of which were outstanding. He genuinely wanted us to experience the flavors before ordering. He explained that everything is served à la carte and prepared fresh daily. His enthusiasm was especially noticeable when describing the banana pudding, made fresh at 5 a.m. with bananas, homemade custard, and smoked vanilla beans. That attention to detail immediately impressed us. We ordered a pound of brisket, pulled pork and brisket sliders, green chile mac and cheese, corn casserole, pinto beans, and two absolutely massive beef ribs served with house-made chimichurri. The beef ribs were phenomenal! Incredibly tender, flavorful, and slightly sweeter than the brisket, they were easily among the best we've ever had. The chimichurri was equally impressive, bursting with fresh herbs and peppers. We honestly could have put it on everything! The green chile mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy, with just enough chile flavor without overwhelming heat. The corn casserole was rich, thick, and buttery, while the pinto beans were perfectly tender with a subtle smokiness that wasn't buried under excessive seasoning. The brisket had beautiful bark, exceptional flavor, and was incredibly juicy without relying on excessive fat. The sliders, served on salted pretzel buns, may have been small enough to fit in your palm, but they were generously packed with meat. Don't underestimate them! For dessert, we enjoyed the banana pudding and sheet cake. The pudding was perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. Learning that the vanilla beans are smoked and the wafers are buttered, baked, and layered into the pudding made us appreciate it even more. The sheet cake featured a tender layer of cake topped with rich fudge frosting and walnuts. Both were a wonderful ending to an incredible meal. But as exceptional as the food was, what truly set Caldwell County apart was the hospitality. Mason made a point to check on us during our meal, genuinely interested in hearing about our experience. That simple gesture meant a great deal. Throughout our visit, it was obvious that the entire team takes tremendous pride not only in the quality of their food but also in how they treat their guests. There is a meaningful difference between serving customers and making people feel genuinely valued. Caldwell County understands that difference. Every interaction felt personal, sincere, and unhurried. We never felt like another transaction or simply the next people in line. We felt appreciated, and that is something we'll remember long after the meal. In fact, before we had even finished eating, we were already telling family, friends, and fellow BBQ enthusiasts about our experience! Having enjoyed BBQ throughout the country, we can confidently place Caldwell County among our absolute favorites. The quality, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality make this restaurant something special. We're already looking forward to returning next week with friends visiting from out of town. We sincerely hope Mason is there because we'd love for them to experience the same exceptional hospitality we received. To Mason and the entire Caldwell County team: Thank you for reminding us what genuine hospitality looks like. You've gained loyal customers, and we couldn't be happier to have discovered you here in Arizona! If we could give you a 20 out of 10, we absolutely would. Outstanding in every way!
