Martins crew damaged a drip line, landscape light, spiked my palm trees that have never been spiked, left cigarette butts all over my property, damaged 2 plants because one his guys decided to use it as a pillow, stole fruit from my backyard tree when they were only asked to do the front yard, stuffed their lunch trash in my hedge....on and on! Frank called and basically said its not his problem because Martin was in charge and he is on vacation. He then told me he wouldn't come by to assess the damage fone by his crew. Frank Tree Service just trimmed/laced two 60' pine and four smaller trees for me. They were efficient and completed the entire job in one day. I liked that they asked my opinion several times on exactly where I wanted a particular limb cut to "preserve the tree's symmetry." Lots of trimmers don't care enough about that. Also, they did a superb job in cleaning up all chips, branches and limbs (some over a foot in diameter.) They can handle any job! read more

Approximately $75 per tree. Frank's team know how to trim queen palms quickly. No. I do not recommend Frank's Tree Service if you want elegance, beauty, and careful trimming. They do not demonstrate an ability (knowledge? care?) to trim shade trees and citrus trees. Citrus: they did not shape the trees, nor did they conscientiously remove all suckers. Most, yes. Frank's crew damaged the bark on many of the trees.* Shade trees: When trimming shade trees, the workers cut off larger, horizontal branches on at least 4 shade trees. Instead of emphasizing the shade benefits from horizontal branches, the workers instead focused on making the shade trees vertically-oriented. I had the impression that the crew did not have a feel for shade trees and did not identify "This is a shade tree...as we trim it, we will accentuate its ability to provide shade." No. that instinct was not evident in the results. Of special note, Frank did not trim off the dead tips of a large shamel ash shade tree. Frank's assessment was that the tips of the tree were dormant. But they've been that way since the 117' F heat wave of 2017 or 2018. *Franks Tree Service team members' lack of skill, strength to hold the equipment, care, or training caused their chainsaws skip over the bark, leaving gouges and damaged bark on most of the trees. This bark damage will provide an opportunity for rot and pests to further damage the trees. Frank has a cohesive and hard working crew. I was very impressed with their hustle and commitment to quickly getting the job done. The workers do not use personal protective equipment (no helmets, no eye protection, no hearing protection). This lack of protection has a possibility of increasing liability for a property owner. I recommend them if you need something fast & cheap (but the service comes at the expense of care and attention to detail). Will I use them again? Probably not. Frank's Tree Service was great! The crew came and did their job to trim the 3 trees that are so over-grown. It was to a point where the pine trees and the Eucalyptus trees were taking over the side patio, front yard and backyard. The sap was everywhere. So these guys knew how to trim off the dead branches. It hasn't been trimmed before we moved in and it had many old branches just hanging and would fall off esp., during Santa Ana winds. I highly recommend these guys. This company trespassed onto my property over two fences and into my horse pasture, that's about 25 feet, when they were at my neighbors doing their trees. Apparently when your crazy neighbor says "hey I'm really not happy with their trees next door that have no effect on my property but could you climb them and cut them down without permission" They cut down and killed multiple trees on my property I'm so upset and angry, HOW SHOCKING IS THIS! They did a quick job and didn't follow the simple directions asking for them to not trim the side branches on the trees they were trimming, we wanted to preserve the privacy. He discounted for the error but they also drove over the front hill on my property where the septic tank is and cracked the sidewalk with their heavy equipment. It has been a month since I had Franks Tree Service. I have been trying to get a hold of some one with my complaint. I paid good money to have some yard work done. Stupid me did not check their work until after the workers left. I trusted them to do the work right. I did have them before trim a tree and they did it right. This time they did not complete the work and left me to hire someone else to finish. The workers did a half ass job cleaning up my yard. I have been taken advantage of and I am very upset. BEWARE : Franks Tree Service did some work at my house before. so they stopped by yesterday to see if we needed any more work done and we did and told them to come back tomorrow and while they were giving me an estimate. As we were walking back out my side gate Louis said to me when we came here before your wife is always home alone. SUPER CREEPY and TOTALLY Inappropriate. It didn't hit me till they left and I told my wife what they said, is when she got scared and didn't feel safe about someone like that coming to our house. Why would someone say that ? SCARY and CREEPY !!! Makes me Sick and MAD to even think about what he said to me. And now we have to be on guard about him let alone other people that come here to do any work. I was working in my front yard, trying to pull out a small tree/bush that I had been working on with my kids for a few hours. Frank's Tree Service came by dropping off business information in my neighborhood and saw me. They asked if they could finish pulling the stump out for me... by that time I had had enough of it.
