Limon's crew removed a very large tree from my neighbor's backyard, (40 ft tall and hanging way into our yard). They did an outstanding job!! They were very careful to tie off branches and limbs, before cutting, and pull them back to my neighbors yard. Nothing in our yard was damaged and afterwards they came and cleaned up all the sawdust and leaves. We even got some tree Stumps for plant stands. Nice crew!! read more

Limon's Tree Service was amazing!! We had originally gone with our gardener and a lot of our trees were hacked and did not look good. Our big trees in the front of our house had not yet been done so we called in a professional, Limon's Tree Service. They were responsive, affordable and they completed the job in a short time. Our large redwood and our Chinese elm tree look beautiful in our front yard. they also helped fix some of the damage that our gardener had done. They did a wonderful job and we are very happy. Jim Limon and his crew are the best! We had trees and bushes removed from our slope. Our slope is big so they had a lot of work. The crew also did edging, trimming of hedges, tree pruning and dead leaf removal on the rest of our yard. They collected all the debris and everything was sparkling when they were done! This is one of the most unprofessional tree services.The owner Jim Limon doesn't even have the courtesy to step up and be responsible for his workers.My neighbor had his palm tree cut,and they didn't come over to make sure i had no children or dogs in backyard before cutting.The guy gets up there with chainsaw and starts cutting up the tree.Big huge pieces come flying down in my yard and cut the top to my doughboy pool that i had just put up for grandchildren.I went out and yelled at the guy and he kept cutting.Backyard was a mess.Left palm branches in other tree where they could fall with a nice breeze and come falling down on someone walking by.Called owner and told him to come by and pay for top.He said he would call back and never did.The owner of the house came and made it right saying that he didn't want to call back.I scared him...lol read more

Jim Limon solicited our business because he was "in the area" doing other work. He quoted us a great price to trim two large trees in our backyard. We hired him based on the great reviews in Yelp, but he didn't do a great job for us. His crew did a nice job on one of the trees, but left the other one looking looing really scraggly and misshapen. The crew picked up most, but not all of their mess and trampled two of the plants in the my garden. They seemed to be in a really big hurry to get done and get gone. When my husband called to complain about the scraggly tree, Mr. Limon said he would fix it at no charge. He said he would call back and schedule an appointment. This was two weeks ago and we haven't heard from him and frankly I don't think we will. He may do a fine job IF you are his first customer of the day and paying "full price," but don't take chance if he solicits your business and offers an end of the day discount. Jim Limon and his crew did such a fantastic job that I added their company to Yelp. I had two 50+ foot palm trees and other out-of-place big trees on my property. Anyway, I've been wanting to remove them for quite some time now. I've received estimates from other tree service providers but just didn't feel that I can work with these contractors for one reason or another. Well, I encountered Jim and his crew one morning while they were working at another job down the street. I decided to ask Jim to give me an estimate. I really didn't have any expectations initially. However, after speaking with him regarding the job and negotiating a reasonable price, Jim's crew actually started work at my property that same afternoon, to my pleasant surprise. They finished the task within a reasonable time frame (a day later than estimated due to an unexpected malfunction of their stump grinder) and did everything that we agreed upon. Jim also gave me additional landscaping tips, as it is his job to "keep lawns green". I also like the fact that State Tree Care owns the entire ensemble of machines and equipment needed. Jim seems pretty chill and was easy to work with. Overall, I was very pleased with this company. They are professional, courteous, experienced (over 25 years in business, per Jim), and have a wide service area (based in I.E. but willing to go as far as Long Beach). I would certainly hire them again as well as refer them to others who are in need of their services. read more
