Growing up around them and having their food on pizza night is a cherished memory. The pizza continues to be amazing and while I mostly order these grandma pizzas, I do get their calzones, other pizzas with various toppings. I do love how soft their garlic knots are and especially when I get them with sauce and cheese. I'm actually due for another order soon!

BEST NY PIZZA! Frank's pizza is pricey but worth it. From the craftsman ship, to the taste, this pizza tasted just as good as it looks. We had the Gran Mama Pizza and the Focaccia Sicilian style pizza which were both fantastic. Service was fast, and pizza came in perfect condition. I can't wait to try another pizza because I'm certain the others are great as well.

First time coming here and definitely won't be my last. Very hard to find good pizza in the Bronx but I definitely was impressed and satisfied. Not too saucy and not too much cheese. Just right!

How can i forget about this treasure here? Frank's is a well known staple in the BX for their Grandma's pizza. Let me tell you, I am from Jersey and when I had my first Grandma's slice, I fell in love with the BX. The dough, the sauce, the fresh mozzarella all becomes one and they all compliment each other on a whole nother level. I can literally sit here and eat the entire pie by myself and die happy. There's no other Grandmas pizza made like Frank's. I've also tried their tortellini soup and man. It was so delicious. This is something I will have a heavy craving for during the cold weather. Although the price tag on the soup is around $8 which is pretty hefty, it was delicious and it came with a fresh piece of bread. I believe everything is delicious here but everyone raves about the Grandmas pizza and tortellini soup for a good reason.

Get it together with the onions and peppers.

I have a love affair with Bronx pizza and this pizzeria won't let me go. Everything down to the tiramisu is delectable. My cons: Meat sauce has cream and they're stingy on the onions and peppers pizza.

A BRONX GEM! I've been coming to franks since I was a little girl. My father grew up in the neighborhood and franks has been a staple of his childhood, and he passed it on to me. Franks is home of the large slice! The pizza is of great taste and obviously size lol. It's probably one of my favorite pizza spots within the 5 boroughs. The price of the large has gone up over the years which is understandable, the large slice is priced at $4. If you are ever in the area definitely pick up a franks slice :)

I first learned of Frank's Pizzeria while dining at Da Franco & Tony's next door - they're owned by the same family (the pizzeria actually came first). I decided to change up my pizza game tonight and grab dinner from them. Their regular pies are quite good - the crust is thin and they incorporate the toppings into the cheese rather than let them sit on top. However, what I believe makes Frank's stand out from other Bronx pizzerias is their grandma pies - think the shape and size of a Sicilian but super super thin. It's crispy, flavorful, and totally out of this world. I've had the regular and spinach and both were amazing - that alone will make me come back again and again. They're in a convenient spot right off the Hutch and the 6 train so it's easy access for me. I would definitely put this in the category of good Bronx pizza.

Decent pizza. They charge extra for sauce given with calzones (why?!) Hard to find parking around.

I finally stopped in and checked out The Healthy Kitchen. Originally came across THK on Uber Eats…read more While in the area one Saturday morning , I decided to place an order for pick-up. Once alerted that my order was ready, I pulled up and grabbed a metered spot right in front. As I entered, the shop it was empty but the staff was busy working on online orders in the open kitchen. Seating is available at a couple tables and counter top. I grabbed a seat as I waited because my order wasn't actually complete. Staff was pleasant but clearly behind on orders. Once completed I grabbed my order and headed out. I went with the #5. Breezin- strawberry, pineapple, peach, w/ orange juice base and I added banana. Overall a local spot offering healthy options on the go. Just A Note: They are on Uber Eats but they also offer online ordering and you can get 15% off your first order when ordering directly from them.

For drinks, I had the Legally Blonde with oranges, lemon, pineapple, and ginger root. It tasted healthy and not too sweet. I personally wished I tasted more ginger in it. She had the Crush with apple, lemon, orange, peach, pineapple, and a ginger shot. Hers had the ginger and flavors mine was lacking. I went with the Captain Jack wrap with an impossible burger as the protein, vegan mozzarella, sweet potato french fries, lettuce, and bbq sauce. This wrap blew my mind. As soon as I pulled it apart the cheese just stretched across both wraps. The i.possi ke burger and sweet potato fries blended beautifully, and it had just the right amount bbq sauce to not feel over-saturated. I highly recommend it.

Fresh Take On Life Juice Bar (may or may not have been related to the now defunct 'Fresh Take')…read moreblended their way into this narrow Juice bar/cafe in the Morris Park area of The BX not long ago. This place might've been something else (?)- but Theresa and the rest of the folks are here now bringing a healthy fare of juices, smoothies, salads, wraps and quinoa dishes. There's really something for every eating lifestyle and you may not go wrong. As for protein, there's chicken, (canned) tuna, turkey breast and lamb- this last one was nice to see in a Juice bar/cafe. And as for pork, don't think it's offered. I'd ask first how are proteins prepped- especially the turkey breast because you could be getting the real deal or deli cut. My sisters and I actually wrapped up with lunch next door and all we wanted were fresh pressed juices to round out our day- and turned out fantastic. The space has some seating if you want to stay put or just grab your items and go. Among the hospitals and the auto body shops in the area, coming here was refreshing in more ways than one- plus service was warm and friendly. You're not getting bottled juices sitting in the fridge for days on end- these are fresh-pressed on the spot- which I appreciate.

She took our orders - there were two other employees who were making our juices. Fresh Take on Life has a good amount of seating. What drew my attention was a "nook" against the wall; which seemed like a cozy spot to enjoy a juice, smoothie, or meal. They have a wide selection of juice and smoothie options; however, you can also choose your vegetables and fruits. They had a hot food section and were serving different types of quinoa, chicken breast, and steamed vegetables (everything looked delicious.) Overall, do stop by at Fresh Take on Life. Excellent customer service and the juices were delicious and refreshing.

Went to the mall yesterday and decided to stop by Ugly Dumpling to dine in…read more It was busy but not too busy because I was seated right away. I asked for a booth because I had a few bags, they had one available near the back. I sat at table 77. I was close to the bathroom (not too close where you can see who is in and out). I was able to leave my shopping bags (covered under my coat) to rush the bathroom. It's visible to others would have been aware if I got jacked lol. I ordered a Diet Pepsi with lemon. Sipped on that for awhile and decided to order the Braised Beef Noodle Soup. It was REALLY good. I added some chili oil (already on the tables). I ordered to go the cheesecake with fortune cookies. When i arrived home I realized the fortune cookies were on the side so I smashed them up into crumbles and put on top of the cheesecake. I enjoyed that. Ugly Dumpling is a nice spot to dine after your trip to the mall. They are located a few steps away from the mall entrance. Try em!

Food: 3.5/5 We decided to go big and ordered four dishes to start: * Beef noodle soup * Sesame noodles * Pork & shrimp spicy wontons (no soup) * Pork soup dumplings The sesame noodles were the biggest surprise of the night. The portion was massive (almost the size of the beef noodle soup), super flavorful, and only around $8, which honestly felt like a steal. I would 100% order this again. My husband loved the beef noodle soup. The portion was generous, with plenty of noodles and lots of beef tendon. If you're someone who enjoys tendon, this is a solid. The spicy wontons were... fine. I won't lie -- they were pretty mid. When I hear "spicy" in Chinese food, I'm expecting more Sichuan-style heat, but this was very mild, more like light chili oil. Definitely not for anyone looking for real spicy/辣的菜. The soup dumplings weren't bad either. I've had better in Flushing and Elmhurst, but these were decent. I did find them a little salty, and the wrapper was thicker than I usually prefer, but overall still enjoyable. We also added the beef stir-fried noodles at the last minute to try another noodle option, and honestly... I really didn't like them. They were extremely oily and smelled a little off. I couldn't finish them. That said, our server (Shenxing) was incredibly kind and offered to replace the dish, but we were already too full to swap it. Service & Vibe:5/5 Service was genuinely great. We were seated immediately despite how busy it was, and our server was attentive and thoughtful, especially with offering to exchange the dish we didn't like. The vibe is casual, busy, and family-friendly. You could tell this place is popular with families and younger people who want a solid meal without spending a ton. Being inside the mall also makes it super convenient. All in all, our bill before tip was around $70 for five dishes and two teas, which honestly shocked me in the best way. It's rare to leave a restaurant in New York this full without spending way more. I totally get why this place is popular. While not everything hit, the sesame noodles and beef noodle soup alone make it worth coming back for. Overall, really glad I tried it.
