This restaurant did not disappoint!! My husband ordered the Portuguese Omlete and I got the country fried steak. It was the bomb. Steak and hash browns were super crispy, just the way I like it. I love Frank's!! I've been here once since I've moved to Manteca and it was great. The food was very tasty and I loved every bite of it. The servers were extremely nice and very friendly. They tended to every need and make sure we all were good at all times. The only issues were the size of the location. The establishment is pretty small and if you don't go early you'll be waiting for a table. We sat near the front door and every time the door opened I got the cold breeze in and people would be standing right behind me. What a cute place! Small hole in the wall restaurant with great staff and lots of good options for breakfast and lunch. My favorite part of my meal were the yummy Mexican hot chocolate, that comes in the cutest taza and is topped high with whipped cream and a cinnamon stick, and the Belgian waffle. In town for a youth baseball tournament and found this spot on yelp. Delish! I had the California melt and it was super tasty and also just a really nice portion and presentation. It wasn't massive and dripping but it was just a perfect size and tremendously filling. Fries were great. Husband and son had club sandwiches and both really liked their lunch too. Came here for my parent's anniversary breakfast. The restaurant had a busy Friday morning but even though we arrived without reservations and a party of 6 we received a warm welcome by all staff members! They turned on the space heaters outside while we waited for indoor seating and for that we were very grateful! It was a short wait and once seated inside drink orders were taken and shortly after our food orders. All came back promptly and at the same time. Got out of town for a meal. Arrived at Frank's maybe a half hour before closing on a Sunday. Cool, clean, down home, neighborhood-ish feeling kinda place. Service was super friendly and quick. Always a plus in my book when the owner can come out and chit chat while your food is being prepared. Now for the vittles. My side waffle was hot, had proper fluff, and on point, the butter melted right away. My enchilada omelette was covered in enchilada sauce, ample sized, and full of seasoned ground beef/veggies. The sliced avocado was perfect. It was good, don't get me wrong but a bit overcooked. I'd venture and try something else next time. The OJ was cold and tasted freshly squeezed. Everybody in my party enjoyed their meal. It was $80 for the four of us, a bit pricey for me but I'd venture to Manteca again to try something else off their well stocked menu. read more

We visited the location for the first time and were disappointed. I ordered the chicken strips but were not strips. They looked like fried fish, and when I took a bite, it was more like nuggets in the shape of strips. The consistency was not there and did not pull apart like strips. They were dry and didn't taste right. The fries and strips tasted like old oil and seemed to be fried in the same oil as other items that i dont care for. We were all sweating as they didn't have AC or it was turned off. Residents may be used to the heat, but passing customers may not be. It's extremely uncomfortable to eat while sweating and feeling like I'm going to pass out because of the heat. They had a ceiling fan on, but we were at the far corner table and weren't getting any air. The other two people with me requested the food to go as they were also hot and ended up not even eating it as it was not good cold. Not a good experience with location and food. read more

I noticed that I had tagged it as a place to visit. I'm glad we went there today for breakfast. I ordered the Ham & Eggs. It is served with 3 eggs, your choice of hash browns or country potatoes, and your choice of Toast or Pancake or a Biscuit. I selected hash browns (cooked really nicely) and. Biscuit (since they make their biscuits fresh). I really enjoyed my meal. Their coffee is good also. My wife had a their breakfast burrito and again you choose hash browns or country potatoes with Chorizo. It was really big and it was very good. I was lucky enough to steal a bite. The service was also very good. I would highly recommend Franks for Breakfast. I will go back and try other things another time. Definitely glad that we finally went to Frank's!!! read more

Started with a coffee and overall the coffee was delicious. Had it black so it's good without all the extras. I got the breakfast burrito and it was so cheesy! Loved it soo much. You get so much, so you'll have leftovers. The servings here are big!!! You get what you pay for and more :) This is a little cafe, but the small cafes are always the best! Okay, I put a couple pages of the menu 6-1-22. Other menu pages were outdated and prices have gone up. Overall, the service was prompt. We didn't have to wait too long for the food to arrive. The breakfast foods that we had taste fresh and yummy. They were good about filling our coffee cups. This is a very small place inside and seating outside the front door. I hate to do this but... I've been to this restaurant a few times. Most times I've been here, the food has been good so I decided to come back again. This time I made a phone order for a breakfast burrito. I had the bacon breakfast burrito with added extra meat of chorizo to my burrito with NO onions and bell peppers. It cost me close to $19 and I tipped and paid $21 together since I'm just picking up. Well, I live on the other side of town and was excited to eat my breakfast burrito. As I sat down to eat especially dealing with my pregnancy cravings, I bit into my burrito to get a mouth full of onions when I specially said NO onions on the phone. I called the restaurant to let them know that they made my order wrong and all the guy can say was oh no! I'm sorry that happened, I know how you must feel, feeling sympathetic and telling me excuses of why things happened the way they did. He told me next time I place an order that he'll make sure that my food doesn't have onions in it. It's like okay, thanks BUT he never once offered to remake my breakfast burrito!! I paid $21 for a breakfast burrito that I couldn't eat and you can't even offer to remake my breakfast burrito? I'm sorry what kind do costumer service is that? I think their customer service is a joke!! I seriously paid $21 for a breakfast burrito and you can't even remake my burrito? This restaurant left a bad taste in my mouth where I don't recommend people to come here because I've worked customer service for a long time and worked the food industry as well and this is not how you take care of your customers. I'm a paying customer and I deserve to get the meal I paid for. I had to throw my breakfast burrito away!!! The food was real good here. I got French toast and my boy at chilaquiles which he devoured. My daughter ate a quesadilla with fries which she wasn't too impressed about but it retakes a lot to impress her. Wife had corn chowder and salad which she enjoyed.
