Good place to visit and try. They got to fix one thing though. And this happened last time over year or so ago and did again today. I was super happy to get a random solo seat on the window and inside in the AC. And there was a friendly dog on the other side of it. So great entertainment. Had one bit into a good breakfast sandwich mildly overprice but it's downtown so all good. I start chewing and it all came to a tragic ending when I look at the bottom of the window, where it eventually leads into your table. The window sill was not clean, there was some nasty hairs just like last time. So to avoid looking at random hairs 18 inches away from my mouth I packed it up and went outside. This is an easy fix and I hope someone sees this. This should be detailed every morning, easy win easy fix. Hope they take the constructive criticism, I do like Franklin's. read more

This place is a super cute spot in Savannah. They had a great gluten free bowl option for me. They have tons of pastries and breakfast options too. Beautiful inside as well and great friendly staff. It's easy to see why Franklin's was so packed on a Saturday morning! The staff is friendly and efficient, and the iced lavender oatmilk latte was delicious. It's small inside with several tables outdoors and the rotation of customers was such that it made it easy for us to grab a table while waiting for our coffee. The croissant was delicious, and the chocolate croissant was soft and had the right amount of chocolate. Really enjoyed our first visit and would love to come back. :) read more

Cute spot .... We picked up a mocha and a cappuccino ... and it was solid. Plus the pastries looked tasty. Loved being able to come into this shop ... pick up coffee and chill in a park square.... Such high expectations.... The pros....location, really nice ambiance and the super nice staff and good coffees. The cons... only because we are in downtown Savannah where price is always matched by quality especially in the food industry... The food seems prepackaged.... the food presentation is no match for pricing... I wandered to Franklin's after a visit to the book store. The staff was very friendly. I enjoyed their recommendation of the Soho combo, which is a grilled cheese with tomato bisque. It was buttery, cheesy and prefectly grilled. read more

Woah. FANTASTICALLY BREWED ESPRESSO. I tried the lavender latte and omg that lavender syrup is the best I've tried thus far. I'm soooo impressed. We go back th next day to try the alcoholic espresso drinks and I'm blown away once again. We tried the Irish cream espresso cocktail drink and woah. This cute little cafe did not disappoint! The staff was cheerful and made great recommendations! The cold brew is on point and the spicy latte was a hit with my friend. We ordered the Western Egg Croissant and the Egg Croissant add bacon. Everything exceeded my expectations. The croissants were light and fluffy, the eggs were perfectly cooked (often eggs are overdone when placed on a sandwich), and the vegetables were fresh and crisp! The atmosphere made for an enjoyable experience! They offer indoor and outdoor seating. I would recommend and will be back! read more

My ONLY complaint, and one that won't cost this place a star, is that the phone number provided here on Yelp occasionally goes to voicemail for the corporation that owns it and several other businesses in the area. I couldn't call anyone with questions clarifying hours, etc. BUT...that aside...the food is great! The coffee drinks were superb. The staff members behind the counter were very sweet and helpful. We took our sandwiches outside and sat looking at the old trees bedecked with Spanish Moss that line Liberty Drive. We'd go back, but might give some other spots a crack at breakfast/coffee for the time we're here. If we ever return to Savannah's historical district, though, this spot will certainly be on our agenda. read more

Franklin's has a lot going for it: great location, beautiful interior, a very friendly and prompt staff, and wonderful sandwiches. My croque-monsieur was excellent and the other offerings also looked great. However, despite all this going for Franklin's, there were a few things amiss. For one, I found a piece of chocolate cake in their cooler where they put things like individual slices of cake pre-boxed to go, but it was literally frozen. What happened was apparently they keep it frozen, the move it to their cooler where it defrosted and then the water from the resulting condensation froze again, resulting in a very obviously wet, water-soaked, cold, container and probably not very good cake, either. I asked if I could have another slice if they had any perhaps in the back and the waiter checked very kindly but it turned out they kept what else they had frozen (which is how I know the cake is kept frozen). So instead I bought an almond Danish pastry which was tough and dry. They say they make all the baked goods in house and I believe them, The Public next door certainly know their way around making desserts and the two restaurants are connected and under the same owners, but my pastry was tough by around 2pm so even if made that morning . . . well, something's amiss. So, they're still fairly new and it's fine they have some time to get things all together. Again, the sandwiches are perfect, the staff are nice, the interior is beautiful and location great. I would just perhaps avoid the pastries unless you're there first thing in the morning for breakfast and I hope they figure out a way to improve the cake logistics (cake + logistics were not words I ever expected to use together, but there you go). read more

The Butcher's BLT is the BEST BLT I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! Between the fresh and griddled sourdough bread, arugula, marinated tomatoes, and the thickest, fattest, most flavorful bacon.... the peppercorn mayo takes it over the top! Really wanted to like this but it's just an over priced mediocre place. Hubby got steak and egg sandwich on sour dough which he liked but it wasn't worth $16. I ordered ham and cheese quiche and got the Florentine. It was ok but for $11, get the order right! I didn't want to get back in line to exchange it. The bakery section is pretty dry and uninspired, at least what I got was! I wouldn't go back. Paid $50 for a breakfast and had to sit on a stool looking out a window. Not worth it! read more

This is a nice little place. Their baked goods are very tasty, and the cafe au lait was great! I recommend the s'mores cookie and the chocolate croissant. Quiche was excellent but all the food is served in these huge, deep paper to-go boxes making it almost impossible to eat. No forks. Coffee was just ok. Biggest turn-off for me is seeing a barista standing there on his iPhone, then setting it down to begin preparing my drink! Germ city. Gross. Final straw on 2nd visit was the woman yelling orders loud enough to get the attention of everyone OUTSIDE and doing so in a weird theatrical voice. Not pleasant when you are trying to read and enjoy your coffee. Just take the orders outside. read more

Sweetest little cafe ever!! I follow this company on Instagram and it has been on my "go to" list. So when I was walking to another store and saw this I HAD to stop and go inside! What a sweet place for coffee and brunch. The aesthetic is so nice I loved everything about it. I tried a few of their menu items & what we tried was delicious. The coffee was ok - I went for a horchata latte & it was ok. Same with the lavender latte- just ok. Maybe stick with the basic options for coffee here and you might have better luck.
