Came on Father's day on a recommendation, and it did not disappoint. Nachos were delicious, ceviche was outstanding, and the salsa is excellent. Food was great, but the corn tortillas weren't great. And the guiso, though delicious, wasn't a very big portion... Would have expected more for the price. The flan was delicious, and the churros were outstanding. Service was friendly. Wow the place looks great. It was redone since last restaurant that was at that location. Clean. We (wife 2 kids and I) went for a Monday lunch. It is a small place and was quite busy. we pulled in to the parking lot and the Sachse fire department had just gone inside(three trucks). We were greeted very nicely got a table right away. We get our drinks immediately.this was all done by the girl that showed us to the table.Then a few minutes latter She came back to take our appetizer order.We ordered caso and guacamole and still have not see our waitress. The waitress came and took our order (We ordered Brisket Enchiladas, Chicken Fajitas and Chicken nuggets for the kids) She was polite but was actually quite slow. She seems as if she had too many tables. They brought salsa and chips. Salsa was thinner than I like but very very tasty. Next out was the caso and guacamole. We liked them both (Fresh). Next out was lunch wow every thing was good. FRESH would be the key word at this place. I did not think the Brisket dish was going to be good (Wife's choice) wow very good and the fajita well It was sizzling when it came out ( I know it is supposed to do that but it was on the table doing that for a minute or two) chicken was moist and tender. just good all around. Grabbed fajitas to go. Was ready and accurate when we arrived to pick it up. The man at the register (whom I assumed to either be the manager or owner) was very friendly and said that he hoped to see us back in again sometime soon. The fajita meat was high quality, tender and juicy; no gristle or chewy bits. When my wife called in the order, they recommended the fajitas platter, which was good for 2 people. It was a mix of chicken, steak, sausage, and even shrimp (which thankfully they were able to do a substitution for since my wife is allergic to shellfish). The only issue I had really was that there were only 4 tortillas with the platter. There was no way that was going to be enough. We enjoyed the fajitas, but most of the meat and sides we ate with our fork right out of the box since after each of us stuffed 2 tortillas, we had no other choice. :) On a personal note, the salsa was good, but a bit on the thin side for my own fickle tastes. Would have liked it even more if there was a bit less "juice" to it (if that makes sense). Was perfect otherwise. Overall, we will definitely be coming back since I'm sure the issues we had with a tortilla shortage would have been taken care of the moment our wait staff saw we were out but still had meat. My husband and I go out to eat every Friday and it always ends up being this restaurant. First it was the one in Richardson, then we moved to Sachse and we were so relieved to find that we were just down the road from the Sachse location. Their margaritas are delicious and fairly strong haha! The salsa my husband likes to drink by the shot full and you can actually buy it in bulk which is amazing! From the service to the food, I have worked in many restaurants but this one always leaves me in awe at how efficient and happy everyone is. read more

We ordered beef fajitas for 2 and we got chicken and beef..but more than that..we were told that more than 4 tortillas (for 2 people) are "extra"...the guacamole was minor and the sour cream, no cheese in sight...Good food. Visited Frankie's n Sachse just day before yesterday. Man, the attentive service staff were amazing. The food was great...they brought out a little teaser mini chalupas (chip with bean and queso and cilantro) just to say it was nice to have us there. A real touch of class in places where you don't often see it. The enchiladas were fantastic and the kids had pancakes and bacon...leave to the kids to eat American style in a Mexican restaurant. I live right across the street from this place and just decided to try it-best idea ever!! The food is amazing! I would always drive by and see a line forming outside and I knew there had to be something good going on inside. The place is very cute, and makes you feel like you are actually in mexico. Their food is extremely authentic, and as a Mexican person this is hard to find. I got their fajita platter which was to die for! Hot, sizzling, and cooked to perfection. This used to be my go-to Mexican restaurant that was nearby, but the last 2 to 3 times, the food has been mediocre at best. I had beef fajitas and the meat tasted exactly like the processed frozen fajita meat one would get at Walmart in. 5lb bag. it was all cut to the exact same size, around 3/4" thick, which is too thick for a fajita cut. The meat was also very bland and not too tender. The salsa also used to be very addicting but not so much anymore. My daughter sour cream enchiladas were reportedly not very good. We are going to give this place and rest for a few months and give them another try, hopefully they will make some improvements. We enjoyed it! We are very glad to finally go, after driving by so many times and seeing how busy it was. We were greeted with a smile and treated great. Prices were great. We got the cheese enchiladas with avocado sauce and I think the other plate was the Angela ... it was cheese enchiladas as well with a poblano sauce and sausage. The salsa was spicy. Not too hot but with a wonderful kick, but the sauce on our enchiladas was very mild. The avocado sauce had a weird flavor that was not at all what I was expecting. But with a squeeze of lime and a lot of salsa it was pretty good. I was extremely glad to finally get white cheese enchiladas!! Haven't had those in ages. The sauce on his enchiladas was also mild, and needed salsa to kick it up. He was disappointed that the sausage was not mexican, but it was tasty with the enchiladas. We both were very happy with the rice and beans, both having a lot of flavor rather than being almost tasteless sides that so many TexMex places serve. If the sauces had been spicier we'd give it 5 stars. read more

We used to love Frankie's. Over time the food quality has gone down and prices have increased. The best thing about Frankie's is the cheese dip. The food comes out fast but our last order of tacos was dripping of grease. The tacos never should have been plated and served. There are better Mexican restaurants in the area so keep driving and pass on Frankie's as the convenience is no longer a reason for us to eat here. read more

I love this place. I usually get the brisket enchiladas...they are stuffed with super creamy mashed potatoes! The sauce is great that comes on them. I usually find brisket enchiladas dry and bland but not these!! Along with chips and salsa, you get a cute little bean nacho per person. I have been for brunch and was not a huge fan of the plate I had. It had breakfast potatoes but they were mushy and bland. other than the one dish being bland, I've never had anything bad. This IS one place where I have to add salt to the beans. But there are worse problems to have! Better to under salt than over salt. We finally found our go-to for Mexican food!!! It's a good sign when the chips and salsa are a hit. Salsa had very nice flavor/heat and the chips came out warm. The kids asked for some queso and that was quite yummy too! And, they give you a pretty big portion of queso. My husband ordered the special beef brisket enchiladas. He really enjoyed it but near the end, it became too rich and heavy. I ordered the chicken fajitas and everything about it was delicious! Our 3 kids shared an appetizer chicken quesadilla and they said they loved it! This is good because they can be real picky eaters. The service was excellent. Everything was constantly refilled with a smile. Mexican food is my husband's favorite food and we've tried a ton of places. But, this ranks #1!!!
