We enjoyed it! We are very glad to finally go, after driving by so many times and seeing how busy it was. We were greeted with a smile and treated great. Prices were great. We got the cheese enchiladas with avocado sauce and I think the other plate was the Angela ... it was cheese enchiladas as well with a poblano sauce and sausage. The salsa was spicy. Not too hot but with a wonderful kick, but the sauce on our enchiladas was very mild. The avocado sauce had a weird flavor that was not at all what I was expecting. But with a squeeze of lime and a lot of salsa it was pretty good. I was extremely glad to finally get white cheese enchiladas!! Haven't had those in ages. The sauce on his enchiladas was also mild, and needed salsa to kick it up. He was disappointed that the sausage was not mexican, but it was tasty with the enchiladas. We both were very happy with the rice and beans, both having a lot of flavor rather than being almost tasteless sides that so many TexMex places serve. If the sauces had been spicier we'd give it 5 stars. read more

this place is awesome. we live in houston with lots of mexican restaurants but fajitas are best here hands down. margaritas stout but tasty. it was crowded for a fri nite and parking limited. waiter was excellent. read more

Tex-Mex hole in the wall restaurant. We were told it was the best place to get decent mexican food in Sachse. Overall it was good. Food was hot drinks were full. Service was good. Enchiladas were a bit smaller than most restaurants offer but still a good taste. Salsa is good too and they keep it coming. Not my favorite tex-mex spot but not bad. read more

First, we went to the Sachse location for the first time. There are no booths, only tables. And they played country and western music instead of mexican music. Strange for an authentic Mexican restaurant. We ordered the something amigos plate that came with 3 different kinds of enchiladas with rice and beans. The enchiladas were awesome, but either the rice or beans were too salty. I put both my rice and beans in a flour tortilla to make a taco so not sure which one it was. My husband says it was the rice. We don't do salt much so we notice it very quick. If it weren't for the salty food, it would be a 4 or 5. read more

It's gourmet dining with a family feel. Frankie's is my absolute favorite restaurant here, and I am not easy to please, seeing as Mexican food is my absolute fave, and I'm not a fan of the bland, "from a can" junk you so often experience from chain restaurants. We put our name in at 7:00 pm, table for 2. After they sat 1 group of 2 that came after us, and 1 group of 4 that also came after us I asked when we would be called. I looked at his list and plain as day he had skipped my party of two, seating both parties under us, a party of 2 and a party of 4. When I asked why, he said " I won't sit a party of 2 at a 4 top table. Of course he totally ignored me when I pointed out he sat a 2 party that came after us. We finally found our go-to for Mexican food!!! It's a good sign when the chips and salsa are a hit. Salsa had very nice flavor/heat and the chips came out warm. The kids asked for some queso and that was quite yummy too! And, they give you a pretty big portion of queso. My husband ordered the special beef brisket enchiladas. He really enjoyed it but near the end, it became too rich and heavy. I ordered the chicken fajitas and everything about it was delicious! Our 3 kids shared an appetizer chicken quesadilla and they said they loved it! This is good because they can be real picky eaters. The service was excellent. Everything was constantly refilled with a smile. Mexican food is my husband's favorite food and we've tried a ton of places. But, this ranks #1!!! Prices are going way up and you get less. They used to give you an appetizer chip. Not anymore. My biggest complaint is the brisket tacos I ordered didn't come with much brisket. It was a mix of mushrooms, onion and brisket. It's the portion size of the meat. Want to add a fried egg then that's $2 per egg wowza. The brisket tacos are now $14 bucks so if you want a fried egg on top and a side of jalapeños it's going to be $20 for a plate of food. No rice and beans on the side either. You need the jalapeños for flavor. It just Seems $20 is a bit much for one Mexican dish especially because it's mostly potatoes. Plus a side of beans or jalapeños costs $2. Cmon Frankie's get real and stop over charging for small sides. We won't be back it's too expensive now. read more

We had the fajitas. My wife had the chicken and I got the beef and we shared. The chicken was much better in my opinion.the beef flavor was bland in my opinion. The chicken however had good flavor and it was not dried out. The chips and salsa is good and spicy which I personally like but it was too hot for the wife. The sever was attentive even though it was packed. You need to get here early on the weekend or you will be waiting in a line out the door. We ordered pick up because the delivery services don't offer a full menu. We ordered the number 1 for each of us but the tacos were soggy because the were placed upon the rice. The enchiladas were lukewarm and the sour cream sauce was clumpy and cold on the chicken enchiladas and not edible. We were very disappointed especially based on reviews! Tried it for the first time today AND WE WILL BE BACK. The price was very reasonable and the food was ABOVE average. Shrimp tacos were good, the torta was delicious and the chimichanga was tasty (my wife didn't like that it was sitting in red sauce). The SALSA was above par and the cheese was thick and tasty. The food is always on point. The servings are large so you can always share a plate with your dinner/lunch date. The drinks are really good. Staff is friendly and attentive. The bar ambiance is fun, quaint, and eclectic. Dinner gets full so expect to wait at least 20 -30 minutes. The breakfast options are also really good. My fiancee and I pass by Frankie's Mexican Cuisine everyday. The place is always packed!! Last weekend, we decided to eat there and find out if it was as good as Yelp and all the cars in the parking lot suggest. I ordered 2 chicken tacos and he ordered the quesadillas. The quesadillas were really good! My tacos were ok but I think I will try fajitas next! The best part of this meal was the dessert! The soapillias are cut up into bite sized portions and severed with two scoops of vanilla ice cream! It was pure heaven! Frankie's also has a happy hour from Monday-Friday.
