I'm from Buffalo so I'm a card carrying, die hard Paula's fan BUT Frankie's definitely earns honorable mention. Stumbled across this little gem in The Falls during a trip for a dance competition. Tired moms and teenage girls, we were in need of a sugar rush! Seeing as how I'm a bit of a donut connoisseur I was pleasantly surprised by Frankie's. First they're only 24 hours, or as the box says, 25 hours a day 8 days a week. They also had a great selection. At least 20 types of donuts available at one time. They also sell pizza and subs but I haven't tried anything besides the donuts. The most important part of course is that they taste good. They cherry cake donut is usually my yard stick because most places don't get it right. Theirs was quite tasty. Not overly sweet and no artificial food coloring taste. Terrible place. They rip you off and literally steel your money. I placed an order for delivery and they never showed up. I called them over and over. They kept on telling me five more ninutes. After almost 2 hours I had enough and asked them what was going on. They informed me that they don't know what happened to the driver and that I will not be getting my food that night. I asked for my money back since I made the mistake of paying with my debit card, they told me taht they couldn't do it that night but that they will make sure to pay me back the next day. I was looking for a place to kill some time till wait for my 3:50am train to go back to NYC. This was the best place to go as it is open 24/7 and is close to station (about 1 mile away). Being a female, in a new neighborhood at midnight was a little scary to be honest. But the ladies working there were very kind and professional made me feel safe and right at home. I fed myself with a nice cup of tea and sandwiches. Great service. Clean dining area and restrooms. I got to talk with some of the regulars there too and what a lovely people they are. Not only do they serve donuts, but they serve breakfast, lunch, and a variety of drinks. The pizza and wings are amazing. I've never had the subs, but I hear they're really good. Their breakfast sandwiches are very filling, and a must have for any breakfast. The prices are affordable, and Frankie's is open 24 hours a day. By far the best creme donuts ever! We split a breakfast sandwich too that was perfect! Frank himself made it, the roll was warm and crusty outside but nice and soft inside the egg had the perfect amount of runny yolk, and the bacon was crispy and delicious! This is a place frequented by locals and a bit off the tourist trail but it's worth the few blocks! Plus everything on menu is made to order and fresh ingredients! Their Pizza is made out of donut dough it is very sweet and soft and Soggy pizza dough. In fact I never had disgusting Pizza like this in my life. Their coffee tastes like sugar water with no caffeine at all and I have waited years after years so that they can have a little kick in their coffee not at all. Hit up Frankie's after reading other Yelp and TripAdvisor reviews looking for a quick and tasty breakfast in Niagara Falls, NY. The donut selection was incredible. Went with pumpkin spice and cherry. Both were delicious - moist and cakey. Second best donuts I've had (Baked in Telluride maintains the top spot). Went back a 2nd morning for another cherry donut before crossing the border. Frankie's is not in the touristy area around the Falls and is definitely a bit on the divey side. It's well worth finding though. We ordered a half cheese half pepperoni pizza and a 2 liter of Coke at 7 p.m. At 756 I called to find out if the pizza was out for delivery and was told that the delivery driver was at our hotel and it will be only a few minutes. At 810 I call back because we still hadn't received our pizza, and they informed me that there was a mix up with the orders and that they would get us our correct order immediately. At 827 the delivery driver showed up with our pizza. They didn't say anything just handed me the stuff. I asked how it was going and they said ok, but nothing until they handed me the box. The box had something written on it and they told me to ignore it because of the mix up. We sit down to eat and the pizza wasn't right, it was completely pepperoni. We called to complain, and the woman on the phone who was polite until this point, got an attitude when we asked to be reimbursed because of the crappy service and mistake then hung up on us. We started looking into the restaurant and this happens there A LOT! The only way they'll learn is if people stop going there, so I would suggest going anywhere else but there. They obviously don't care about their customers enough to put forth enough effort to do a descent job. read more

Your food delivery driver was blocking the alleyway Saturday, January 28 at approximately 9:40 AM . I beep the horn a few times and asked him to move. Finally someone came out cussing and challenging me to get out of my car. Words were exchanged about the fact that he needs to learn the law and where he cannot park I then proceeded to back out of the alleyway that your delivery driver illegally parked in and blocked. After the incident I made a call to the store to let them know. They said oh no that's not what happened I heard you yelling at him, yet I don't know why they didn't hear him making threats and swearing at me What they did not hear was me trying to talk calmly to the driver before he started going ballistic. I have been coming to your establishment mainly for pizza every Friday for years. I try to talk it out calmly with your staff and they accuse me of lying. You have lost quite a bit of business as of now. I know it won't put you out. But I thought Frankie's was about treating customers the right way. I am a very long time regular of Frankie's and I am sad to say that I will NEVER step foot into there ever again. I work in the service industry and am willing to tolerate a lot as far as service and food quality. Had it not been for my love of the sammiches I would have stopped going years ago. This Friday was the final nail in the coffin for me. I walked in at about 2:45am and sat down at the counter. I was waiting for my wife. She walked in exactly 5 minutes later. We sat there for another 12 minutes waiting to be waited on. The wasn't a single employee in sight the entire time. I could have walked behind the counter and helped myself to whatever I wanted (including the cash register). I watched 2 couples and an individual all come in and leave without being helped. At this point my wife and I only sat there out of curiosity to see how long it would take to see any type of employee. Finally somebody who could have been the cook walked in from outside, walked behind the counter and walked into the kitchen. Never acknowledging any of the 11 people who where in their waiting. A few minutes later a woman comes from the kitchen and and delivers a couple sandwiches (that ended up being wrong). She then turns around and goes back into the kitchen to remake the sandwiches without acknowledging anybody else in the building. When she finally comes back out she hands the sandwiches to the gentleman and turns her back to walk back to the kitchen and hears 2 people coming in. She turns around and helps them. After 35 minutes of sitting there waiting my wife and I stood up and walked out. She saw us walk out. She knew she did not serve us. She never tried to stop us from leaving. I do my best to support local business and economy. Some could say "you only go there because its the only place open at 3am". Well, from now on McDonalds will get my business. Piss poor customer service from a less than clean establishment. You have lost a loyal customer and die hard supporter of your establishment! read more

I really enjoyed my trip to Frankie's.I had a steak sub and my wife had pizza logs.She had never tried pizza logs before and said she really enjoyed them,my sub was very tasty and came with fries.The food all together was great and priced very fair.Its kind of a serve yourself place so you dont have to leave a tip and thats always a plus.Spend what would of been your tip money on one of those big ass peanut creamfilled donuts...awesome read more

Ordered large pizza pie and 30 wings at 8:00 Saturday night. By 9:00 had not recd our order, called and the man that answered the phone said it was leaving in 5 minutes, 9:20 still no food, called again they said they were swamped and delivery was running behind, I said I didn't think this was an acceptable answer and asked if he could contact the driver for delivery status, he said he would and have driver call. At 9:50 still no food, had phone in hand to call and tell them forget about it and cancel our order the driver showed up (actually tried to deliver to the house across the street). I told him we were upset about the order being so late, he stated that it was wing fest and everything was backed up. Took delivery only because food was hot and we were starving. Find it very unexceptable that they did not tell us delivery was going to be delayed, they had our phone number...., we were told it would be 45 minutes NOT and hour and 45 minutes.
