I took my car there after it was rear ended. I've never been in an accident requiring repairs. They call me to come pick it up, when I arrive a mechanic tells me there was a rusted part they didn't replace, but it will cause the check engine light to come on. Frank the owner said no, reassuring me they sprayed lubricant on it, it'll be fine. The very NEXT day, take the truck and family to a kid's competition, the check engine light comes on before we even make it there. Thank god I have AAA. Call frank again on Monday morning. He literally tried to tell me, check engine lights come on all the time. Like I'm stupid. I've never had one problem with this vehicle until the accident. It's a 2016 with 60k. He says I need to bring it in so HE can look at the error code. His mechanic said this was going to happen right in front of the owner. The owner reset the codes without showing me what the error code was, and just tells me I should drive it for the couple days to see if it comes on again. They put it back together knowing there were faulty parts and sent me on my way. If it wasn't for the mechanic being honest and spewing verbal diarrhea about the faulty parts on my vehicle I never would have known that they were fully aware when I left, my check engine light would come on, but at that point they say it's my responsibility to have it fixed. The owner tried to say on the phone it was my gas cap, lol. My car doesn't even have a gas cap. Frank said if it comes on we'll take to ford, or just put a f@&$!?; riser on it. Then the owner packed up his error reader and walked away from me, leaving me in the street with my truck and said nothing. Real business owners try to fix their mistakes, not this guy. So if you want to be treated like dirt when you try to get your car fixed, COMPLETELY, after an accident, this is your spot. The owner treats you like an ignorant liar. Like I want to have to figure out why my truck came out of their shop with more problems than it did when I dropped it off. I just want my truck back in one piece without having to tow it, drive around with check engine lights, or not be treated like dirt when you are the victim of an accident. The mechanic told me it would happen, it did, now Frank acts like it wasn't their responsibility. If you they put a broken caliper back on my truck, and said mmmm be careful your brakes might fail, and they fail the very next day. it would be the same thing. read more

I've never had to have any body work done on a car before, having, until this point, managed not to be involved in any accidents. You can imagine my horror when someone backed into the side of my three-week-old Subaru Forester -- my first nice car in eight years -- and did some fairly serious damage. Luckily, the person who was backin' up (her daddy taught her good) was honest and filed a claim with her insurance company. I found out that Frank Schrim Auto Body was able to do direct billing through her insurance company; that means nothing out-of-pocket for me. I gave them a call and they walked me through the process, since I was pretty much clueless. They were very nice on the phone. I took the car in for an estimate, and they had the paperwork in place from the other driver's insurance company. The damage was photographed -- I assume for the claims adjuster -- and a written estimate prepared. I can't really speak to their pricing, since I wasn't paying for it and I've never had other body work done. However, the process itself was painless and Frank was efficient and helpful. They arranged a rental car (also through the other driver's insurance) and arranged to have it meet me at the shop when the two new doors arrived. Everything went smoothly at the exchange. Two and a half days later, my car was ready; they stayed a little late so I could pick it up without having to leave work early. I left the rental at the shop and Frank took care of having Enterprise pick it up. I was given a written invoice of what was sent to the insurance company. The work itself was very well done; the car looks just like new, including the pinstriping. One part had to be reordered, and Frank said they'll call me once it arrives and it's just a few minutes' work to install it (some little plastic piece from the back door). Overall, I am very pleased with the quality of the work and the speed with which it was accomplished. Frank and the other gentleman (whose name I sadly forget right now) were friendly and helpful at every step. If I need body work in the future, I will definitely return here. They repaired my 2012 Civic that had the drivers mirror destroyed. Also, the door and front fender were smashed up. I dropped the car off on a Monday and picked it up the following Wednesday like new. Very satisfied. read more

Schrim Shady...Beware. My wife got a typed up quote from Schrim himself. It was mid $800's for out of pocket work. I lost the copy of the quote and after my mom finally sent me a check for the repair she was at fault for - with an amount paid based on the quote. I called to schedule the work and Schrim said he doesn't record of quotes, vin #'s, dates, etc...already kind of weird. Schrim told me to just come back in and he would redo the quote and I was planning on leaving my car. I told him EXACTLY the range of the quote - $860ish and then him and his office guy walked around the car and punched up a new quote that was magically $300 more than the original! After I called them out, they confirmed the pricing with each other like it was on some official menu. I realized then that they were playing me like I was lying about my original quote. I went home and found the original and yep, Schrim and his boy had inflated the second quote by more than $300 ... Ugh, what a waste of West View business property. I got the work done somewhere else this week - less than his original quote. read more

Today the people of Schrim Auto Body came through once again! About 6 months ago they did some work on my driver side door (fixing a dent and new paint). It turned out fantastic. I raved about how fast and professional the business was to everyone. I never thought to write a review because my dad always says people should not get praise for something they are supposed to do but today the guys went above and beyond; and that deserves some written kudos. Today, in a sudden and random moment, my rear window shattered on the street right by Schrim. I pulled in not too sure of what to do. The guys took my car right in and cleaned up the glass and put (what i call) plastic wrap around the window. Frank quoted me right away and had a plan to get the work done by the next day. Because of my insurance I decided to go through a different company, although I would take my car back any time. They didn't charge me for the cleanup or wrap up. It's hard to find good natured businesses that attends to and is patient with a person. Hmmm...I imagine that is called impeccable customer service. And for someone like myself that thinks car trouble is the worst kind of trouble a business that makes it less terrible is worth 5 stars in my book. read more
