I also live across the street so I can smell the cooking even with my window closed. It's hard to resist the temptation. Also having the radio tuned to 92.9 Jack FM makes the wait worth it. I ordered a Pizza at 5:45 for pickup at 7. Just 5 minutes later, I realized I needed to add wings, so I called back, gave my phone #, and kindly stated that I'd like to add something to my order. As soon as I said that, the girl on the phone hung up. I called back, and she picked up the phone, and hung up again. After calling a third time, she said nothing and put my call on hold. I understand technical issues happen, but she clearly and deliberately hung up on me. Just because I wanted to add something to my order. I couldn't even call back to cancel it. I was very kind, and she was unprofessional from the very beginning. A paying customer does not deserve that kind of treatment. read more

Love this place. Great pizza, wings, subs, fries and salads. Prices are reasonable and food is always great, Comfort food done oh so well. The turkey salad is very very good and filling with so many fresh veggies. The pizza is also good, especially chicken finger pizza......MY FAV! Of course the chicken finger subs are amazing......how can you go wrong? Coming back home, this is one of the stops on my "mission for a good food fix" tour . Ordered a quick lunch here as I was home looking after my 5 month old daughter and didn't feel like cooking myself. Went on their online ordering and ordered a Buffalo Chicken wrap and onion rings. I figured that ordering at 10:55am would be a safe bet to get it soon as it avoids the lunchtime rush and when you order it gives you the "ASAP" option ( and doesn't give you a time or ETA ). 35 minutes turned into 40, that turned into 45 and finally at 50 I called to check and was told "it's out with the driver and will be with you any second". 10 minutes later it showed up almost exactly 1 hour after I'd ordered it. Whatever... so I opened it up and the Rings were lukewarm and the Wrap was cold !! Called and was pretty much given the weakest apology possible and was told I could have it remade. When I asked how long that could take I was told possibly an hour !! So they made me wait an hour originally and wanted me to wait a further hour in the hopes that it showed up warm and without any " extra ingredients" declined and put it in the microwave. While I was living in Toronto and DC, I bragged to my husband about Buffalo-style pizza. Not many people outside of Buffalo realize how good and unique the pizza is here. Buffalo gets it just right: a generous amount of sauce and cheese, and a crust that's a bit doughy and crispy on the bottom. Franco's has mastered Buffalo-style pizza and I can't get enough of it now that I am home again. My family orders from Franco's almost every weekend- it is something of a tradition! (We call it 'pizza Friday') We order a large pizza which is almost the size of a 'sheet' or 'party' pizza. Franco's is generous with the sauce and cheese without overdoing it. This is some of the best pizza that we have ever had. You can also eat inside Franco's. My husband took his friends from Toronto to the restaurant and they raved about the pizza. My hubby and I celebrate "pizza Wednesdays" back at home, so when we were winding up our vacation to NY and Canada, we found ourselves staying at a hotel on Wednesday night and knew we wanted to order pizza delivery. Our hotel recommended Franco's (and gave us a 10% discount) so we called and ordered. We got a small order of cheese breadsticks, 2 salads, and we each got a personal sized pizza. It was delivered quickly - about 30 minutes later. They brought us plates, forks, and napkins too at our request. The salad was pretty standard with packaged dressings. Fresh though. The cheese breadsticks were amazing. And the small was large. Nicely seasoned and cheesy with crunchy edges, just like I like them. The pizzas also were a great size, even though they were "personal" size. They are square cut, and I read there is a Buffalo style pizza, doughy with sweet sauce, and this was it. It was amazing. Tried the fish fry - came with fries, cole slaw & potato salad. Large piece of fish, you'll need a knife to cut through the batter. Cole slaw was probably a day or 2 old. This Franco's delivers to my house and I always get coupons in those valupacks so we get delivery from here often. I really like their pizza, it's doughy but light and the sauce is just sweet enough. They traveled all the way down first class from Buffalo to Charleston South Carolina and all I can say is wow what a meal. 5 stars even for reheating pizza and wings in the oven, made it feel like I was in NY all the way down south! Francos has pretty good pizza and subs but their wings are the worst in Buffalo. Small and always undercooked. Even if you ask for extra crispy they are still bad. The bad part is, I often find myself steering away from ordering here because we usually want pizza and wings. There are better options in the area for pizza and wing combos. I had a coupon for one personal pizza + drink and get another personal pizza and drink for free! I ordered the "Old World Pizza", which is basically a fancy cheese and pepperoni. They layer the toppings differently (cheese, pepperoni, sauce, and parmesan and herbs on top), but it's very tasty! The bf got the veggie, which looked very good as well. The regular pizza is also very good. The crust is nice and "Buffalo-style" in that it's not too thin and not too thick. They use a lot of sauce which is fine by me. The personal pizzas are perfect size - 4 squares. It's almost a bit too much, so it's good if you like leftover pizza! I would say Franco's is probably the best pizza chain in the area. It's always a fail-proof option for when I'm craving pizza but don't want to risk getting a bad pie or slice from a new place. Never had their wings though, so I can only attest to the pizza. They deliver, but I usually just pick it up since I like right off Colvin in North Buff. read more

It's a decent pizza in Buffalo.....not the best and not the worst. The "large" pizzas are humongous. You pay a $1 or 2 more than normal, but you get a lot more for the $$. I lived across the street from this location in particular and this place has really improved over the last year or so. being so close and affordable I would often come here for lunch or dinner when I didn't feel like making anything myself. never had a problem, staff was friendly and professional and the food was always decent to pretty good. but one day my gf got a job here as the owners son came in to shape up the management and renovate the place and she had some atrocious kitchen horror stories for me. fruits and vegetables that wouldn't be rotated so the old stuff in the back would just sit there and rot making the new stuff rot faster and kids would still use it for food. ladles and tongs and knives would be dropped on the floor all the time and never cleaned or sanitized or even just wiped off with a rag kids just go right back to using them on whatever. when kids would need meats from the fridge or freezer they would take out the whole box to open it, grab what they needed and literally leave the box just sitting out for hours until just whoever felt like putting it back problem management and employees were let go immediately after this was brought to the owners attention and new people were brought in and properly trained with much higher standards for quality and cleanliness. they renovated the interior too and the front counter looks very nice. big and clean and modern. the food tastes better than ever and I can rest assured that my food is properly prepared in a sanitized environment big menu with a lot of specialty pizzas, all are fantastic. great buffalo chain read more

I use to work here about 17 years ago and every time I come back to buffalo I need to have their food. I had the wings. God how I love real wings. Where I live they do not know that they must be deep fried, with a bone and offered varying degrees of heat. The hot wings had lots of sauce and were very meaty. Awesome as always. The subs have lots of meat and are tasty. The pizza is always cooked to perfect and today was no different. You just have to remember that you are getting a square so minimum crust. read more

We ordered food last night, 2 subs, fries,and a wrap. With taxes and delivery it came to $74! Got here an hour later and they forgot my fries. So I called and spoke with a girl who was completely clueless as to what I was talking about. She then put me on hold for 9min. Came back and asked what I ordered. So I went through everything again and she put me on hold AGAIN. I didnt realize just sending out my fries that they forgot was so challenging to comprehend. So then a kid answered and asked how he could help, so I tell him I never received my fries. He asks again, What was wrong with your order? I explain AGAIN that I never got my fries. So he asks if I'd still like them....obviously, thats why I'm calling. So he asks my address, not once, not twice, but 5 times. Clearly this employees have no sense of communication skills!!! So it is now 7:50, an hour after my 1st order was delivered. I decided at 8:30 to call again and ask about my fries. Some one else answered this time and had no clue about my fries. I have never been so annoyed. Finally at 9:17 my cold fries were delivered. I called back to ask to speak to a manager, and was hung up on. We ordered the night before and confirmed the order the following morning for peace of mind. The process was seamless, and the driver was on time, kind, patient and courteous.
