Let's talk about hidden gems.... I haven't had a piece of pizza this good in such a long time... Metro pizza was introduced to me by my mechanic who raved about it and used to live in the area ... so I just had to try it ..my piece was just a single slice but the one I bought for my mechanic was a large double cheese, pepperoni pizza well done . I watched it come out of the oven and it was amazing- like a masterpiece and the 20 minute ride back to my mechanic was torture. I just wanted to open it and start chowing down. The pizzeria was a small place but the foot traffic tells you how much it is loved . The staff was super friendly and the price is comparable to all pizzerias. A most disturbing experience! Been going to Metro for around 30 years! I live in the neighborhood! Today I was treated with the utmost disrespect! I do not have enough space in this review so I will just end my experience as a truckload of tired individuals that need to remember why there is a thing called customer service! The three cheese steak is something to come back for everytime. The customer service was excellent and the wings was hot, crispy and fresh.

We live in West Seneca, never even heard of them before. A random semi-drunken pick up easily turned into a top 3 local pizza experience. Quality of the pizza is fantastic. Got it well done, the cheese bubbles and chars more evenly than probably every other place we ask for well done. Definitely a sexy looking pizza. Was excellent. Will easily be a go-to spot for us. Metro is some of the best pizza in the Buffalo "Metro" area. It's especially good when riding the "Metro" Undeground Train. And it's the favourite of burly rugged manly men as well as "Metro" sexuals. Unfortunately none of this is true because (a) nobody calls this area the Metro area, (b) there's no Subway near here and (c) Buffalo doesn't actually have rugged men, just metrosexuals. Honestly I've never had their pizza because I'm a bit picky about where I get pizza from. But I have had their sub's and I love coming here for their antipasto. THEY DO NOT SKIMP ON THE MEAT! Their salad always taste fresh and it's made to order; unlike some places that keep ready made salad in the fridge for who knows how long. The place is small with very little standing room and no seating area. So it's best to call ahead and order to go or stop by and be prepared to wait for a bit. They offer delivery as well. I started working less than half a mile from Metro Pizza last year. My boss would order pizza from Metro weekly and rave about it, I had to try it! I haven't eaten pizza anywhere else since going to Metro. Their food is absolutely fantastic, they make great subs and salads as well. Everyone there is super friendly, in person and on the phone. I've never had to wait long for my food, if they say 20 minutes, it's ready in 20 minutes. Definitely eat here if you haven't yet! read more

Wanted some fast food this weekend because I've been cooking every day due to this virus and I had seen someone on social media post a pic of a steak pizza from Metro and I thought it looked delicious! So I ordered it along with some wings. The pizza was fresh and hot out of the oven and every bite was amazing! I would recommend a must try for steak pizza. I made my first ever stop at Metro Pizza a few days ago while at work and in search of a quick lunch. From the outside it looks like a typical fast pizza place and it certainly doesn't look any different on the inside (pizza places don't need to be fancy, very okay with this). They have a big poster in the window advertising a lunch special which comes to $6.25 for 2 pieces of pizza and a beverage (I personally went with a Canada Dry Ginger Ale). I was in and out in under 3 minutes and ready to dig in. I'm not saying the pizza here is bad, by any means. But in a city full of chunky flavourful pizza, these slices just didn't do it for me. Like I said, they were not bad slices, but I also wouldn't call them all that good. If you like thin pizza maybe you'll love this place, I see a lot of others did, however for me, it just wasn't anything memorable. read more

We ordered a sheet pizza for our employees , when it arrived and we opened the box , the pizza was not what we ordered especially pepperoni on the whole sheet despite some employees did not wanting to eat meat on Good Friday. When we called to explain they made a mistake , we were told they could have another sheet to us in an hour , but would need to pick up the first pizza delivered or be charged for the second sheet. This was not realistic to expect the employees that would eat meat to wait another hour due to Metro's mistake. If i could give negative stars I would!! Metro Pizza on Clinton Street just lost a valuable customer! I ordered a sheet pizza and bucket of wings and our Pizza was rock and I mean rock hard on the bottom. So after serving 5 kids and 4 adults and we started eating the adults realized that the pizza was hard so I call Metro and they told me the only way that they can replace the pie was to bring the whole pizza back smdh I told them we already started eating it so half the pie was gone between the kids and adults. So $70 down the drain because they can't make a fucking pie the right way. Also pretty sure the health department wouldn't be ok with your company asking for food back during a pandemic so that will be a nice phone call I make on Monday morning! read more

My family purchased two fish fry's from Metro Pizza. One of The fish fry's we're not done in the inside. when I bite into it I had a mouth full of wet dough. We called Metro to get a credit and they told us we could not get a credit for the one fish fry. We had to bring the fish back to them during this pandemic and they would replace it. We live across town, why would we make an extra trip to bring back food that is not cooked. Our family usually purchases fish fries from there once a week but we will not be back. We had a delivery man come and deliver a pizza, I had given him two fifty dollar bills that were stuck together. He rang our door bell to give me the money back. We've never had a bad experience with any of our food, and our delivery guys/gals have always been great. I normally do not write these reviews but I find that I am always reading them when searching for something so I thought I would write one for Metro Pizza. I work in the area so I have grabbed lunch from here a couple of times and each time I do I am so impressed. This last time what impressed me the most was watching how extremely busy they were around noon and had every single oven filled with pizzas and sub rolls and a ton of employees running the place like a well oiled machine and seemed to really enjoy what they were doing :) I actually got there a little earlier then planned and didn't want to wait outside because it is not the best neighborhood as Mark M mentioned ;) Anyways since I was early I stood around and watched these guys and gals work and it was quite entertaining! I have had a couple different kinds of their pizza...all very good...especially white pizza with just green olives and onions and calzones and chicken wings and now the boneless wings and LOVED everything! The Thai Chili sauce is AMAZING if you like a sweet kind of sauce with kick to it...try it...YUM!!!! I believe I have even had the salad there and it is was pretty good and you get a lot of it! Bottom line is Metro has really good Buffalo food and even though they aren't in the best neighborhood they seem happy there and the food is very very good!
