She eventually said she could ask a manager, but insisted it would be better if I just came back the next day. I explained several times that I only wanted to understand the policy, since there were other sizes of the same dress available to replace the mannequin. The interaction felt dismissive and unhelpful. Later, when I asked for the associate's name at checkout, Desiree (the cashier) said she couldn't share it and that I would need to ask directly. When I asked Judith, she responded sarcastically, "Didn't the girl up front already tell you my name?" Both associates seemed overwhelmed by the crowd, but the service felt indifferent and unprofessional.
