Update - it's less than 3 years after they finished and our shower is leaking into the wall. The drywall is soaked and my moisture sensor clearly shows failed grout. We spent like 20 grand on this damn bathroom and they completely failed. Now we're going to have to open the wall, dry things out, handle any mold, and re-grout and seal that entire area. I do not know what kind of reviews this business bought but this place is not good. I wrote a quick review saying I did not like this business and YELP removed it (guessing the business complained about it). So I will go into more detail on WHY I did not like this business. Kobi came out to meet us and sold us a great company. He said everything would be done in about 3-6 months. He talked up everything and why we should hire Frameworks. Yes, he sounded great and honest. Lets just say it's been OVER a year and our house is still not completed to what was promised. Should I start listing off some the ISSUES? Timely Start to finish? NO. Integrity of work. NO. Workers came out to ask US for money because Frameworks was not paying them. Workers made a MESS of our entire property- not just the house portion. Communication. HORRIBLE. Just by these qualities alone, I would not hire this company but there was even more than listed. I even have pictures of every step of the process. Due to my experience with this company, I no longer trust contractors. If you used Frameworks and had a great experience, that's great. From MY personal experience, I did not. "3-6 months" turned into over a year. Cost us extra money because their workers broke our fence and ruined our lawn. We had to hire a landscaping crew to come fix what they did. I'm not exactly sure how this company is 4.5 stars. With the recent string of poor reviews, it's probably no wonder that their phone number no longer works. We had most of our backyard done, including a pool remodel with pipe replacement. The 3mo project ballooned into a 9mo project. We spent ~$150k on the project. We had a much larger project worth about $350k waiting for them, but they kept dropping the ball, so we ended up going with another contractor. In fact, we paid another contractor to fix part of their work. We found that there was no oversight over the workers. We almost ended up learning how to be a general contractor. We would catch things after the workers left, and were left in limbo wondering when Regev Timor Cohen ("Reggie") would send someone to address the issue. For example, I think one of the biggest issues was when they put drains around the pool, which led to nowhere. So when it rained, water would just accumulate around the drains. Eventually this was fixed after one of the many stints of limbo, but illustrates the lack of basic oversight and execution. Less than a year after completion, we're already having issues with our pool and Reggie is nowhere to be found. He also promised to help with a minor issue later on, but due logistics, had to wait a few months. (This promise was saved over text.) But since their professionalism ranks among the lowest, they couldn't even return a text nor phone call. Pretty sure our next step is to stand in line and file a complaint with the licensing board. read more

I worked for a multi-billion dollar construction company in the past, so definitely have expectations for work done on my own home. I called Framework to get a quote over the phone to install a new front yard walkway. Adam (project manager) suggested he come out to see it in person and was able to schedule something for the next day. In person, he gave us multiple suggestions/options and prices for what all of them would cost. We also called some other places, and although they were able to give us quotes over the phone (some were a bit cheaper too), I felt the on-site review gave me confidence for what we were getting. Initial on-site was on Sunday, work started on Tuesday, and everything was done by Friday. Valente and his team were great and were flexible with some minor changes we requested with the layout. There was a lot of attention paid to the details, which we greatly appreciate. I would recommend. read more

I was so disappointed with Framework Construction & Remodeling. At first, they were very professional and we had a great working relationship. We were very happy with the work and aside from some of the last-minute requests for payments, everything was going well. It was a large job involving work in the front and back of our home. The stucco that was done was not good and they knew it. They had people come out to tell us that it was going to be redone, but it never happened. At that point, the job was done for them. They quit answering our phone calls and never came back. We still had some minor jobs that needed to be finished, but now we are left having to get them done on our own. What started out last November 2021 has been the worst experience ever dealing with a general contractor or for that matter of any business. CAUTION - BEWARE of their high ratings on Yelp. Look closely at the number of reviews, friends and pics the reviewers have.... That should raise a huge Red Flag!! Framework originally supplied 3D drawings in November 2021 and I selected them in December since Adam (Amos) verbally claimed they have many in house employees and painted a picture of themselves as a being a high standard company - reliable, responsive and open communications. Our project estimator/project manager- Adam whose real name is Amos E. Have you heard of that saying "Over Commit and Under Achieve"? This is Adam & Ron B. (operations) and his team that I dealt with at Framework. Adam committed to completing tasks, delivering material and designing. He really talked the talk but unfortunately failed Over & Over to perform on what we agreed upon in our contract or verbally. Regev C. is the owner who I spoke to in December, He committed to visit my job site last Christmas Eve when my water heater was not Igniting due to Incorrect gas line connection but he never showed up. Framework had no legitimate project manager on my entire project. After signing the contract the project started out good with demo of existing hardscape including over 3000 sf of pavers. The worker-Luis that laid all of the pavers did a good job and then things headed south to this day........ In GENERAL - The pavers, Bbq island, water feature, waterfall took months to build and some items to date are NOT complete and NOT operational. Some subs Framework hired were complete HACKS and there were many items that had to be redone namely - poured concrete with sagging corners, electrical, gas lines on firepit & etc....To date, there are still broken sprinkler lines, wood not replaced prior to stucco, roof tiles broken, incomplete electrical wiring and fixtures and incomplete landscaping, fences & gates not supplied or installed. To date my residence is still unfinished with a stucco coat. I stopped a payment on a check on April 12th when I heard Framework was not pulling a permit for stucco. Just yesterday, I visited our city planning commission and discovered Framework didn't submit drawings for a stucco permit until two days ago on June 7th. Adam & Ron lied again & again via phone calls and via texts that they were obtaining a stucco permit approval since April 21st. These people CAN'T be trusted . Framework provided portions of the project with Inferior Quality, Inexperienced Labor and their end product shows the Inferior workmanship and lack of detail. Adam & Ron verbally made commitments and promises that were outright UNTRUE. They both would commit that subs would be here on certain days and that day would arrive and pass with no subs appearing or arriving with No materials, No idea of the scope of work and then would depart. This company is SO UNETHICAL and has NO REMORSE whatsoever about wasting clients personal time and their money. I went with Framework - a licensed contractor as a single source and paid more than going with individual contracts. Framework lead me to believe they would oversee my project, manage subs, work efficiently, communicate and provide a quality end product. Framework FAILED at all of these levels!! I have documented e-mails, texts and taken many pics of their SHODDY workmanship, you can be the judge of this company's Dishonesty, Lack of Integrity, Deceived and Inability to complete our contract. Horrible!!! ZERO stars, negative if that was an option! They have an F on the BBB website. Don't get conned by the five star reviews which I think most are fake. How do I know this for sure. Gal Davidson the guy that came out and did my quote from this company has reviewed the company on Google like a customer and given it five stars. This is sooo shady and unethical!!! Read the 1 star reviews to get a clear picture of this company. They cut every corner they could and the structural engineer, inspector and I caught them since luckily, I was home every day watching them. It started day one when they were supposed to slot cut a hill for a retaining wall which they did not and just came in and bulldozed and half of the neighbors fence they put in recently came crashing down. Since they did this, we had to move where the retaining wall would be, so I lost about 200 square feet of my backyard, yet they did not charge me any less. So, they put up wood to hold the neighbor's fence and wall up and were supposed to take it all out but when it came to that time, they just cut it off, covered it up with some dirt and left it like that which is structurally unsound. The engineer and I caught them on this. Also, they only put in half the rebar they were supposed to until the inspector caught them and then I caught them on other rebar they did not put in. They brought in the wrong drainpipes three different times. They brought in the wrong stones to fill the back of the retaining wall. They just brought in base gravel until the engineer caught them. The engineer said they did not know what they were doing and if they ever came across this company again, they would watch them very closely since they saw how they cut so many corners. They dumped cement all over that I have to go back and try to scrape off and I have all types of black marks all over my cement. They took items of my back porch and started to use like metal poles for my hammock that they used to bend rebar with, another sifting grate, and used my hoses and sprinkler heads that were destroyed and not replaced. They used my backyard and driveway as a dumping ground for trash and materials from other sites, so I had all this old rebar, cement, nails, fence pieces, etc. dumped on my property for months. When they were done and supposed to bring in dirt to put in the backyard they brought in dirt with all types of gravel, cement pieces, old tile pieces, etc. so now it is a horrible mess. They put up the old pieces from the neighbors fence they torn down and put screws into it on the outside and gray paint all over it to try to cover all the scratches and holes etc. Then they tried some new pieces, did not change the old bad pieces they said they were going to, and did not level it or line it up with the other posts. Who does something like this??? This is unacceptable! They also ask for basically 99% of all the money while only about half of the work is finished. As the other bad reviews will say is once they get this, they don't respond which is the same for me. It has been around three months, and they never finished the work. The last email I received from them was, we have not forgotten about you, and I have sent six emails, and three texts to the owner without any response. I have never received any last paperwork, warranty etc. They are totally unresponsive just as the other bad reviews say. This company is very unethical and shady. If you getting conned by their fake good reviews and don't read all the bad reviews and know this company is one of the worst companies you will ever deal with you deserve to get screwed. I had to micromanage them on a daily basis since they did such a bad job at every step. If any of those good reviews are real, they were not there and just saw a finished project that seemed like it was done right. If they did not have an engineer, inspector and watch them every day they will have problems in the future and this company will not be there for them. They might quote you less because they know they will not use all the material needed unless they are caught. You can see from the reviews they only say thanks on good reviews and never address bad reviews and real customers. This company and owner, Reggie, should be ashamed of themselves for continually screwing honest people out of their money. I strongly advise anyone considering hiring Framework Construction to stay far away. I hired them for a large-scale backyard project, including a sprinkler system installation. What should have been a simple, straightforward project turned into an ongoing nightmare. First of all, Framework Construction lied about the workers on my project being direct employees. In reality, they were randomly sourced laborers who were not even part of their team. I directly asked the workers, and they confirmed they were not employees of Framework. This should have been my first red flag. I paid thousands of dollars just for the sprinkler system, and the work was done poorly from the start. The workers were rushing through the job, and when they worked at night, it was so dark that they had no proper lighting in the bushes. Despite what was agreed upon in the statement of work, they refused to replace the pipes as I had already paid for, and they didn't finish the job properly. When I contacted them about the issues, they took over 1.5 months to send someone back to fix it. Even then, they left old pipes in the bushes to hide their laziness. To make matters worse, they didn't replace the sprinkler system valves like they were supposed to. The problems didn't stop there. A couple of months later, I noticed my plants turning brown because many of the sprinklers still weren't working. I called them constantly for months, and after three months, they finally sent someone to fix the sprinklers. But guess what? The sprinklers broke again in a different zone. Another two months passed before a different worker came, and while he fixed one pipe, he never came back to finish the rest. To this day, one pipe is still broken, and water is spraying onto the sidewalk. I've been contacting Framework since May, and their business manager, Regev, keeps telling me he will "let me know when they can find someone" but never follows through. Just recently, he had the audacity to tell me that it was no longer his problem. They hire cheap labor, and it shows in the poor quality of work. The sprinkler system continues to fail because the workers were inexperienced and unqualified. The pavers they installed are uneven, and they didn't install enough drains, causing puddles every time it rains. The workers didn't even show up when scheduled. At one point, the first crew quit halfway through because they hadn't been paid, leaving the project on hold while Framework scrambled to find a replacement. Working with Framework Construction has been an absolute emotional and financial nightmare. The level of service I received was atrocious, and I regret ever trusting them with my project. You would expect a company to deliver decent service when you pay them thousands of dollars--but Framework Construction does not meet any basic standard of professionalism or quality. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, do not hire Framework Construction. They will only cause you headaches, delays, and frustration. Avoid them at all costs! read more

This is an updated review. The manager of the company did call me to discuss the issues I had with his staff. That is a plus and I have modified my original review to reflect. Originally , the company was responsive and came out quickly. For this reason 2 stars where given. This review is being given for my experience during the quote stage. They did not perform any physical work on my property, as I choose not to hire them based on the following: 1. some information was given at the proposal stage was not accurate for the address the work would be performed on. The primary in consistency was that there are standard soil studies that could be used for permits. For this area, it is just not true... as verified by 3rd parties. 2. Building could start on Monday. That made no sense, given that a permit would be required. A) a soil study for the address would need to be done 1st. B) Upon contacting the LA building department; they indicated that permits are taking 1-3 weeks to issue, given the massive amount of rebuild work being done in the area. So they would start work without a permit? That is not legal. 3. I was pressured to sign a contract NOW or they would put off the contract and come by sometime the following week, where the price would go up. That pressure put me off, but I did sign the contact, while doing proper research... with the knowledge that California has a 72 hour cancellation law. 4. When I called to cancel, within 3 hours of signing, I got a extremely rude response . Nasty text comments from the visiting representative as he tried to call me back, while I was in a meeting, followed by more rude comments and attacks on me personally. I have saved photos of his texts should anyone want to see them. Primarily for reasons #3 and #4, I chose to go with another company. Rudeness and bullying and or pressure , is never acceptable. On the project ceo t: any person considering this firm should verify all statements, ask for emailed quote, not a hand written one.. which was impossible to read and not outlining ALL steps to the work. read more

We hired them to do multiple job on our house - replacing the backyard, painting the exterior or the house, repairing the garage roof. They are RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL AND INEXPERIENCED. They do not have any project management, you pretty much have to stand over them to ensure the work was completed. They attempted to repair the roof multiple times and with how much rain we had the last year we were able to test the work time after time. We needed to get our entire backyard redone in a clean and spacious manner for our little one who is growing up. Did some research and ended up reaching out to Framework which ended to be a pleasant experience! Started the discussion with Ben and then COVID hit. Was finally able to get the design done with remote sessions when things are starting to settle down during the start of COVID. Ben has been very helpful in this process. When we are ready to start the project with Adam, we had some budget concerns and Adam has been very helpful also by sitting down with us to go through some details on the job and making recommendations to certain design changes and his best efforts on material coats to help us meet our budget goal! When project kicked off, came Luciano who has also been extremely helpful and communicative throughout the project. We needed to make certain last minute change during the job and he was able to help making it happen to our needs with a reasonable price adjustments! I recently hired Framework to redo the hardscape on my patio (about ~400sq ft) and my experience was excellent. Simona was my project manager and she is an absolute FORCE. I was very impressed by her suggestions and ideas to transform my space and her competence was very clear from the start. Her bid was very reasonable - in fact, it was half of what another company had proposed. She got her crew to start within two days of doing the paperwork, and they finished the entire job in a day and a half. The crew (run by Luis) showed up on time each morning, worked throughout the day, cleaned up, and was overall so efficient. Simona checked in on the project in person multiple times a day to make sure I was happy and aware of the status. The finished product looks beautiful and I can't wait to have them redo the larger area around my pool in the future. One thing I would add is that as a female homeowner, it was a really cool experience to have another woman run this project. I look forward to hiring them again for future renovations! read more

He then asked me to accept all the work items that he described he would do, give him a 10% deposit and if I did not accept his terms he would NOT take the job. So he's asking me to agree to his hand written recommendation with a price almost twice as much as everyone else was bidding. I said I will review his quote once he sends me the contract with the details. I told him the reason I look at the detailed contract, is to help me make a better decision. He then became very rude and said, if I won't give him a 10% deposit NOW accepting his handwritten quote, he won't take the job! I told him I can't do it that way, I need something in writing in a contract form. He then stormed off without saying another word. We started a major back and front yard project with them in February and they said it would be a 3 month project which of course to this day is not completed. The project manager that we worked with is Ariel. He was the most disorganized person that can potentially work in this line of business. The reason you go with a big contractor for a major project is for their ability to manage timeline and subcontractor work and of course purchasing materials etc. they did none of that well and there was zero communication. We ended being the project managers. We would go out and talk for the subs directly to make sure things are done properly and even then things were still not done well. Even simple things that make sense like for example. Why would you put a AC and pool equipment enclosure before the flooring is done or pool equipment is done. They were sooo bad that their main subcontractor doing flooring quit on them and that's when things became horrible. The new people they got were very subpar. They also seemingly lost money on the guys that walked out on them so they tried to extract every penny out of us. Every thing from that point forward was going to cost extra and a lot of what was agreed-upon they did not want to complete. Now we are $180K in the hole and we just fired them because we could not deal with the stress. Do not do not hire these people. Do not trust the positive reviews on yelp. Incredible service from the design phase all the way to completion. Poli was our Design Consultant and project manager. Just so easy to work with. She was able to help me make decisions "on the fly" over a couple of obstacles which arose during the construction phase. The extra work was done at no cost to us. I think this is what sets this company above the others on the design/construction sell. It's clear these are pros. The crew definitely went above and beyond in terms of job focus and task completion. In the end, they left us with artisan level work and a cleanup so complete, it's like they were never here. We have Kobi as our contractor in March 2022. He was nice and courteous at the beginning and the end. However a few miscommunications along the way, he never appears once during the entire 3 months project. The project was supposed to be finished in a month, it turned out to take us 3 months. They have a lot of ongoing projects, they will be the jobs done but no promise on the time. + Experience, you can find them for all sorts of projects and customisation + Competitive price ($9-10k for a water feature) + they will get the job done - A lot of ongoing projects (~40 for a contractor), no attention or supervision to you as one customer - No promise for on time delivery (our project was extended by 2 months) - Subcontract their works entirely , a lot of miscommunications happened - Attentive in asking for money, less about work quality or work supervision (which is very much needed when there is subcontractor) - send random people to take pictures of your house when the work is done (without informing you) - they try to charge you for everything done in extra, not really very generous Suggestions: 1. Negotiate for price, especially ask for discount for delayed project 2. Don't give in for paying for more if the subcontractors offer to help with additional work 3. Put everything in paper (supervision, type of materials, timeline, etc.) read more

Adam and his crew (Roy, Sanovio, and team) were excellent to work with for our backyard project of adding a reinforced concrete slab for our new swim spa. They had great ideas with design, worked within our budget, and provided quality craftsmanship. They were very professional and had an efficient team that completed the project in less than 2 weeks. Work included the demo, framing, rebar, concrete pour, installing an outdoor electrical box for the spa (and later connecting it to the delivered spa), adding river rocks, outdoor landscaping lights, adding a drip system, and installation of our new privacy screens onto painted wooden posts. We loved the final product as well as our family and friends (whom we gave referrals to), and look forward to working with them on a second project of ours. We got several quotes from others for that project, but decided to go with Frameworks again given their high quality and reasonable prices. This is my second review of this company, the first was from two years ago when they completed my front yard pavers, and because of the great service, I contracted them again to complete the stone on my house. We hired Framework Construction in September 2023 to replace our old, worn out, flood-prone asphalt driveway. Our project manager Adam was fantastic, very knowledgeable and easy to work with. We went with pavers based on Adam's suggestions and it was absolutely the way to go. Adam's crew worked fast and installed a beautiful driveway in just a couple weeks. The crew also installed a walkway to the front door and some landscape lighting, which added both safety and curb appeal to our nearly century-old home.
