Zero star company and they definitely manipulate their reviews. We started a major back and front yard project with them in February and they said it would be a 3 month project which of course to this day is not completed. The project manager that we worked with is Ariel. He was the most disorganized person that can potentially work in this line of business. The reason you go with a big contractor for a major project is for their ability to manage timeline and subcontractor work and of course purchasing materials etc. they did none of that well and there was zero communication. We ended being the project managers. We would go out and talk for the subs directly to make sure things are done properly and even then things were still not done well. Even simple things that make sense like for example. Why would you put a AC and pool equipment enclosure before the flooring is done or pool equipment is done. They were sooo bad that their main subcontractor doing flooring quit on them and that's when things became horrible. The new people they got were very subpar. They also seemingly lost money on the guys that walked out on them so they tried to extract every penny out of us. Every thing from that point forward was going to cost extra and a lot of what was agreed-upon they did not want to complete. Now we are $180K in the hole and we just fired them because we could not deal with the stress. Do not do not hire these people. Do not trust the positive reviews on yelp. I highly suspect these reviews are paid for and not real customers. read more

I've been waiting a long time to renovate / remodel my backyard and wanted to get everything done correct the first time. My ideas and his informative advice on details made this project better than I expected. I recently moved into a new home and had 2 major problems I had to fix asap: 1 - the asphalt driveway was in very poor condition 2 - I could not get my car down the driveway without scraping the bottom Framework was very creative and flexible in coming up with a solution that was cost effective and could address my main problem of getting the car down the driveway. (Some other contractors said it was impossible) We decided to demo all the old asphalt, repave the whole driveway with new asphalt, and put pavers at the top, for appearance and also flexibility in shaping the grade of the driveway. Throughout the process Ariel was always responsive and worked hard to get the job done as quickly and efficiently as possible. We haven't had a walkway for over a year due to plumbing issues that made it necessary to dig a big trench in our front lawn, destroying our original walkway. This provided us with the opportunity to have a new walkway built, but I had no idea what design I wanted, color, type of brick or pavers, until I did some research and contacted Framework construction. No one completely trusts contractors (unless they were referred by friends or family) and there's always that fear of getting swindled. However, I was fortunate to meet Yahav. He listened to what ideas I had for my ideal walkway and seemed to understand what I wanted. Yahav provided suggestions, pictures of jobs they completed similar to what I wanted, and was honest if my request would not achieve a positive outcome. Because of my busy work schedule, I need to ensure that I have a project manager that communicates frequently. Yahav communicated almost daily before, during, and after our walkway was completed and the gentleman that installed our pavers were respectful and professional. Our project turned out better than expected and I love our new walkway and porch. On a side note, my walkway project was small (square footage) compared to the jobs Framework is accustomed, however, they still provided the same amount of detail and service as they would any larger project. Ok, we had the front of the of the house completely redone- which included removing this massive planter (20 by 20) and leveling out the front, and adding pavers. We added a fence and created a large enclosed patio. - David is responsive via text and actually started the job a week earlier than anticipated. This was a huge plus and we felt good with our decision. - We did 6 quotes and David came in on the lower spectrum, not the cheapest, but having done many projects in the past we know you get what you pay for. I have never posted a review on Yelp before, but I felt compelled to do so in this case. I wish that I could have had a choice to give Framework Construction zero stars. Framework Construction will cut every corner, including those that you would never imagine, to your detriment. I had to hire a second contractor to redo my entire backyard patio paver, and patio cover project. First, Framework Construction does not excavate to install the gravel base for your pavers. They put the gravel base for installing pavers on top of your existing soil ground level. This results in your pavers sitting five (5) inches above ground level on top of a three-inch stack of cement as shown in the first picture. See the second picture for pavers reset properly at ground level by the other contractor with no ugly looking stack of cement to look at from your yard. If your house has a crawl space, then make sure Framework Construction does not use the crawl space vents as a good place to drain rain water under your house as seen in the third picture. See the fourth picture for work done by the second contractor to lower paver level below crawl space vents, and the grading of pavers to drain water away from the house. If Framework Construction tells you that your project needs plumbing work, then I strongly recommend that you hire a real professional plumber to do the job. See Framework Construction plumbing work in the fifth picture. See the sixth picture for rework done by a real plumber to replace ball valve plus new copper piping to resolve water leaks at valve connections with support bracing installed between copper pipes, and wall to stabilize wobbly pipe structure. If you love cats, then Framework Construction is your company. See the seventh picture showing bottom of left wood gate trimmed by Framework Construction to allow your neighborhood cats easy access both into, and out of your yard without having to climb over your gate.
