I've been eyeing this establishment when I had dinner at Omelie kitchen one night. Finally came in this morning to try their crepes. The establishment is very welcoming, well lit, spacious, and clean. The aroma of crepes was enticing. Their menu was a bit overwhelming because everything just looked good! I asked for some recommendations from the cashier and was told that their most popular is their Norwegian Crepes. I ordered: 1) Norwegian Crepes ($19.95) - savory smoked salmon with lettuce mix, tomatoes, and red onions. Topped with capers and drizzled with dill & chives sauce. Highly recommended ! A bit pricey but so worth it. 2) Parisian Crepes - smoked ham combined with melted brie and a side of dijon sauce to dip into. Yum on every bite. 3) Bonjour Crepes - A combination of crispy bacon, ham, eggs, and melted cheddar cheese...very filling to your tummy. 4) Americano coffee 5) Specialty coffee Their crepes were savory, sweet, and delicious. I met the owner and she said that they make everything from scratch including their croissants. In my opinion, each order is shareable for two but I can't help myself and ordered three (3) as I just want to try them all. Coffee were good as well. Just had an amazing experience at Fraise Cafe. I had the All American apple crepe and it was heavenly - the apples are made fresh in-house (no canned apples here!), perfectly caramelized. For drinks, I got dirty chai latte and their strawberry refresher. Strawberry refresher lemonade was good but my favorite was their chai. Theirs is the best dirty chai I've ever had. It was so good and they make their own chai. Honestly most of the things here, they make themselves--chai, chocolate, BATTER,--and you can really tell from how good the quality and taste is. The owners were so nice too. This is family owned, and they're originally from Syria and Latvia but have been in the US for a long time now. You can see them make your food and she was super sweet and we had a nice chat about savory blinis from Russia and other cuisine/food talks and even about travel. Very lovely owners and family! The staff is super friendly. I think it is a family owned business. Definitely a casual cafe atmosphere. The food is served on paper plates with plastic cutlery, something that doesn't quite match the elevated taste of the food. I understand the need for this however, especially if there is no dishwashing area. The food was so delicious! I ordered the all American apple pie crepe stuffed with seasoned apples and drizzled with caramel sauce and topped with powdered sugar. So yummy! The perfect choice if you want a fall sweet treats. Next time I am looking forward to trying the pancakes and waffles or potentially one of their savory crepes. I ordered a simple egg crepe with hollandaise sauce.. they normally make them with ham or other toppings.. initially they got my order wrong, but the owner did remake my crepe and in the end gave me and my mom a small flower cookie. This is one of my favorite places in all of OC! They have lots of variety in their menu options, and furthermore, they let me customize my selection! To drink, I saw that they had a cardamom latte. I asked if they could do a cardamom Matcha, and I opted to add cold foam, and you can customize that as well! I got a maple cold foam, and wow, what a delicious drink. It was like autumn in a cup. I also slightly customized the delicious Dubai chocolate crepe. Instead of milk chocolate, I substituted with dark chocolate and white chocolate, and it was fantastic! I also got a savory crêpe, and chose to do the build your own. Everything from the cheese, to the meat, to the veggies were so fresh. Their eggplant, which is made in-house, was the best eggplant I've ever had anywhere. It was marinated and herb-y. All of the pastries are made fresh by the owners as well! and all of their sauces were fresh and creamy, and the owner said that there was no additional sugar in the sauces. Also they are open until midnight when they reopen for dinner. Parking is available in a lot out front shared with other businesses. I tell all my family and friends about Fraise.
