This year has been a lot of moving for me, and moving is so stressful. I've heard great reviews…read morefrom my nyc friends about roadway moving, so I decided to get a quote from them. After talking to them, I knew I wanted to go with them. Their customer service, attention to details, and organization are 5-star levels. One thing that really stood out to me was that instead of asking me how many boxes I need, they asked me to send them pics of my place and stuff, and they calculated the number of small, medium and large boxes I need. It's so easy to underestimate and get a different price at the end. Also, I know I wanted packers because its speeds up the entire process of moving and settling in. I'm so glad I did with Roadway. It usually takes me over half a week to pack and be stressed for over a week, but Diego and his 3 teammates packed up our studio in 2-3 hours. They're so professional. They moved so quickly with care and accuracy. Most importantly, all my kitchen appliances were wrapped with care and delivered and arrived to my new apartment in the same condition. It took us about 2 hrs to settle in, and they once again unpacked most of the furnitures and reassembled them, making me feel settled in and relaxed. I cannot thank their team enough. They're all so polite, friendly and efficient. Within 1 day, I already feel 95% settled in. It's the easiest, stress-free moving experience I had in a while!

Si a friend of mine suggested Al's my daughter reached out to them immediately and they were totally on target!! They met her at the warehouse to see her load ...gave her an estimate immediately.. ..avery fair estimate And explained the time involved i. This "piggyback" move ! Moving day came; we were in Tampa they txted my daughter telling her eta at apt complex. They were there exactly at time mentioned The men were courteous and everything went like clockwork! Worked carefully and efficiently We all couldn't have been more pleased This small moving company is highly recommended !!!Al's Movers White Plains,NY

Where do I begin with how poor this experience has been…read more Deceptive pricing: we were given an hourly rate but never told that there was a four hour minimum charge per day. Al's moved us from our old home, held our furniture in the truck over night and moved us into our new home the next day. It was a 2 hours of their time on day 1 and 1 hour on day 2, but we were charged for 8 hours across two days. We were never told about the 4 hour minimum, but that is what it is. Where I am incredibly frustrated is our tv was broken during the move. When I tried to turn it on, here was a large crack in the screen that was not there prior to the move. The tv is unusable. I reached out to Al's main number and was told verbatim "I'm writing a note and putting it on 'the bosses's desk. You'll get a call tomorrow.'" by Denise. I did not get a call the following day. I called again two days later and again got Denise. I again got the line about the note on the bosses desk. I shared with Denise that this feels like deja vu and asked to confirm when i was getting a call and who I would be getting a call from. Denise became incredibly rude and unprofessional to the point it was almost comedic before hanging up on me. I called back, again getting Denise and asked why she hung up on me. She denied it, I asked for the name of the person I should be expecting to call me. Again she became incredibly unprofessional and hung up. I then called the salesperson that my wife dealt with directly. When I stated hey my tv's broken and I called days ago and haven't heard anything, I was rushed off the call. I strongly would not recommend Al's. I have family that is moving in a few weeks and I will make it a point to steer them away from Al's because of how outrageous the process of trying to get in touch with someone about the damage to my TV has been.

I had quite a lot of furniture and boxes for today's move, and Joe at the helm, sorting out the contents safely and securely in the truck was the master of spatial relationships - did he have a shoehorn? I don't know, but the team was a well honed machine, which is a reflection on their leader. And not one thing broken or damaged. Those sweet guys were each willing to double-check, go the extra step to place things here and there in my new place. I highly recommend Mancuso Movers, which I have used in 2015 and again in 2020. I needed a very small move done and after getting ridiculous quotes and being turned down by a few other moving companies, I remembered my friends recommendation. Called Joe and he gave me a very reasonable quote and sounded excited to actually move my belongings. Joe and his partner arrived early to my apartment and finished this small move in less than an hour. They were very efficient and treated my belongings like they were their own. Extremely professional! If you're looking for a moving company, you have two choices. You can hire one of the "big guys" and pay more than you need to, or you can hire Mancuso Movers, pay a fair price and support a family business.

Instead, he left it in his truck and when he needed it called in a nearby upholsterer he knew to pick it up. When that owner of Upholstery Decorations called to tell me he had my sofa, I told him I had not authorized that and already had arranged with another contractor. Steve refused to pick my sofa up, saying it was not his, and not his problem! Meanwhile Yelp reviews were published of upholstery companies in the Mamaroneck area, and U.D. reviews were horrific. Steve then told Raul Torres, owner, that I wanted my sofa removed. The same day I receive photos from him and his manager Melissa showing a huge stain on the back of some poured dark liquid and then photos of the sofa ripped apart. Steve then threatened me repeatedly by email and ultimately blocked me from calling him. I sent my upholsterer to pick up the piece with Steve saying Raul would release it. He did not. Said there was $1000 open invoice for the "work" he did. My cost $150 for pick up. Neither Steve nor Raul will release my sofa without my releasing them of liability. I still do not have my sofa.
