Came back for our second visit last night, and was just as happy as the first. Had the Grouper, and was very impressed. The fish was moist and flaky, perfectly cooked. The portions are so large I could not finish. Will definitely be back. read more

Nice restaurant. However, they are very pricey. I didn't particular enjoy spending $30 for a steak that was nothing but grizzly fat. My husband's sirloin was unevenly cooked. Half of it was raw. Total, our meal was roughly $80. We looked at each other and said we could have enjoyed a better steak dinner for half the price at Texas Roadhouse or an awesome lobster dinner at Red Lobster for the same price. This was our 3rd visit over the last 5-6 months. First time was great. 2nd time okay. Today we brought friends and were very disappointed. After sitting at a table outside, we finally had to get our own menus. Food order took forever to get. 2 people in our party had fries. One got theirs and the other didn't. We were told "they were coming". We finished our sandwich before the fries ever arrived. We had to go inside to get our own utensils. There were 2 waitresses covering the patio and both appeared very stressed. One was overhead telling another table "its not like I have anything else to do". Food was good but servers could use either more help or coaching in serving customers. Masks worn by the servers seemed to be an occasional option. Since the restaurant is right off the bike trail, my husband and I rode our bikes. There were no bike racks or anywhere for us to park our bikes. We had to lock them to the wheelchair ramp. There was no hostess to greet us on the restaurant side and after waiting a while without being acknowledged my husband flagged down one of the wait-staff so we could get a seat. The menus were cheap laminated paper with obvious corrected mistakes on them and the tables were set with paper place mats and mismatched silverware. For a Friday night they seems under staffed as it took a while for our order to be taken and to get drink refills. It also took a good hour for our burgers to arrive. While the burgers were good, the lettuce, tomatoes, pickles etc. came on the side, and we had to assemble them ourselves. Were given ketchup and mustard bottles and pouches of mayonnaise instead of them already being on the burger like we had ordered. read more

I was really excited to try a new local place whilst visiting relatives in Kokomo. Old church converted into a cool dive bar and restaurant? Sounds good to me! The outside was really cool looking and overall the inside was neat, minus the decor of fake taxidermy which made it a little Texas Roadhouse looking. The service was absolutely terrible. And by terrible I mean waiting about 15 minutes before we were even asked for a drink order. They did have $5 long islands that night which made up for it, and it was a good Long Island, which I'm super picky about. The food was very sub par. I got some French onion soup and the fried shrimp dinner. I don't exactly know what I expected, definitely frozen shrimp. It took about 45 minutes for our food to come out which was unacceptable considering they weren't busy. I'm not sure if it actually took that long to make because when it came out the plates were super hot, indicating they'd been sitting under a heat lamp. I know how the restaurant biz works and I know what it means when my plate is scorching hot and it's not a fajita. I asked for a baked potato with sour cream and butter. Thinking I'd get a wonderfully dressed potato. Instead I got one wrapped in foil served with a side of those little tubs of butter you have to peel open and a tube of sour cream, that you have to open. I mean this isn't Wendy's so I don't understand why they don't put it on for you like a normal restaurant would. Our waitress was terribly unfriendly and was clear she didn't want to be there or serve anyone. She'd disappear for lengthy amounts of time and never bothered to bring any refills of water after asked to do so. I highly doubt I'll ever go back. Guess I'll have to stick to the chain places in Kokomo. Such a shame. read more

Where do I start. They need a dedicated hostess. While we were there it seemed whichever employee was closest to the door when someone walked in seated them and if no one was close you just had to wait. The decor was impressive and the atmosphere was good but it went downhill from there. The placemats looked cheap and the menu is a single laminated piece of legal paper. It looked as if no one bothered to put much effort into it. I ordered a Bloody Mary. It had no spice and no flavor at all to speak of. The dinner salads came out before the appetizer. The waitress was nice but passed our table a dozen times as the plates from the salad and appetizer were stacked up leaving us with no room on our already tiny table. Finally some women in street clothes comes by to pick the dishes up. To that point, I saw one waitress with a shirt that had the restaurants name on it. There were at least three that were just in street cloths and if they hadn't been behind the bar or picking up dishes there would be no way you could tell they worked there. The need for a unified dress code cannot be over stressed. Now on to the bone in ribeye. The menu said $30. It's worth half that. It was under seasoned, chewy and full of gristle. The tater tot side even though you could tell they were the frozen variety stole the show. I feel this was a way overpriced low class experience wrapped in a very nice, unique and impressive building. We will not be returning. read more

Chose this place for a first time experience the other day for a late lunch. We were one of four tables the entire time. The waitress seated us promptly and took our drink order. After we decided on our choices, we only saw our waitress when she had something to bring to our table. At times, I noticed there was NO wait staff in the dining area. None. We had fish and chips; fish had good flavor. Our waitress checked once on our drinks. And we had to ask for our checks. Which she only rang up as one. I paid for both rather than wait on separate checks .....and wait for it ....she charged me for my water too. I'm giving it 3 stars for the cleanliness and the food, the wait staff did not add to this rating at all. read more

A good local restaurant that specializes in chargrilled steaks. The steaks are usually cooked well in the portion size is quite large. There is a seafood platter that is absolutely huge and you will take home a box or two of leftovers. read more

I went here with a friend tonight. I ordered the clam strips, slaw and baby sweet potatoes and he ordered smothered chicken, baby baked potatoes and veggies. The clam strips, although generous in portion size, were mainly tasteless breading. The slaw was ok (not great) and the sweet potatoes were really good. My friend liked his chicken and his potatoes were really good. Our big problems here was 1. the price for the meals were a bit high for the quality and 2. The service was really slow. I had to wait for someone that worked there to make an appearance to ask for tarter sauce and was never once offered a refill on my water. Let me repeat, the service was VERY SLOW!!!! Don't go here if you are on a budget or don't have lots of time to wait, because wait you will! We had to wait for everything including the check. Will I ever return? Probably not. read more

First time coming here with my gf and parents because It looked like a nice upscale restaurant but when my food came (Bourbon chicken) it looked and tasted like some cheap chinese buffet rip off. That is not real bourbon chicken. The vegetables tasted like they came out of a freezer bag which I'm almost certain they did and they forgot to give my gf her side. We ate here for the first time when it was fairly new, and a Valentines day, so won't review the restaurant side. The wife and I love the bar side though. Very friendly staff, really good food, and NO SMOKING! If you order a drink that's not standard fare, you might give some direction. At the suggestion of family who live in the area, we stopped in prior to a high school basketball game. We had called ahead and said we'd have a large group and they told us that would be fine. Word of mouth brought 35 people, more than expected. The two ladies that greeted us were exceptional. The even arranged the dining area to accommodate our group. I wouldn't expect this to happen but it was around 4:00 PM so it worked out very nice. Service by these two was great. Worked as a team and always kept the drinks full. Orders were taken promptly, requests were greeted with a smile and they made sure the kids table was taken care of too. I was most impressed by how they and the kitchen worked together. All orders came out hot, to order and most importantly (to me) together. Not one order here and one there, oh we forgot that - very impressive. Everyone in the group raved about the food. Tenderloins were excellent and huge. Appetizers were spot on - stuffed mushrooms and nachos were great. Clams and Clam Chowder tasted as fresh as you could ask for in Indiana. French Onion and Potato were also a hit w/ the fresh salads. The owner came out and lended a hand as well, helping her team and making sure we were taken care of. Also the restaurant was very clean, I won't eat at a dirty one. They all wanted to make sure we were taken care of the right way and still make it to the game before tipoff, which we did. read more

Our Class of '56 met last evening at the Foxes Trail for dinner. There were around 26 members all choosing their own chose for dinner. The food was brought out in a timely manner (hot) and all served at the same time. Everyone was pleased with the generous portions. Waitresses were very professional and polite. My husband and I ate here last night. He had the filet and I had the grouper pieces. His steak was amazing! cooked to perfection and delicious. The baked sweet potatoes where small and yummy! My grouper pieces where mild and tender. I'm not always a fan of tartar sauce but there was really good. Not too sweet. Very disappointed. Our meal was not the same as prior visits regarding the ribs. They tasted 'funny', very skimpy on the BBQ sauce. Baby potatoes were served DRY, with no melted butter as in the past. We expressed our disappointment, and a "manager" listed to our complaints. A measly $5 taken off each entree, REALLY? We couldn't finish the ribs, as they were terrible. The "manager" said he had some just the other day, and they tasted fine! So there you have it. We won't be back. read more

This resteraunt is fine to eat at once in a while. Their food is pretty decent and the atmosphere isn't the worst. However if you get there when it is busy or if you have kids and want to eat out on their patio then good luck. Over half of the resteraunt is a bar that you have to be 21 to enter, so that just leaves the rest of the resteraunt and the patio for families to eat at. Well, that's not exactly true because you also have to be 21 to sit on the patio. If you ask a worker why that is they will say that it's because people are allowed to smoke on the patio. However this shouldn't be a rule because it is against the law to smoke within 20 feet of a public resteraunt. Overall the only good thing this restaurant has going for it is the food and the semi cool atmosphere inside. Other than that it's just a bar. It is not very family friendly (since kids can only eat on the inside, where there is no bar) it's more of a bar or a restaurant that adults without any kids could enjoy. read more
