Craig delivered our bikes (with locks, keys, baskets and cup holders--helmets available if we'd wanted them) and was a pleasure to work with. Because we were leaving early the next day, Craig suggested that we leave the bikes locked up at the hotel and the bike lock keys at the front desk to make things even simpler. His estimate was very reasonable and he was able to schedule my move for June 1st. My movers were Kyle and Stanley and they were absolutely great! They moved my stuff to my 3rd floor condo (32 steps and no elevator)! They were very professional but really pleasant and friendly. So we eagerly went in, asked our questions and paid the required $570 deposit (registration fees + two weeks tuition). After contemplating our decision, my husband and I decided we weren't ready to send her. One week had past and we called the office, we were told that we wouldn't get a penny back. This is still 2 weeks prior to her start date. I never completed any registration paperwork, but I signed one document saying my deposit is non-refundable. We called several times even talking to the other business owner, and was still told they have a "policy" for this reason! This policy is shameful! Their non refundable policy is only in place so they can monetarily take advantage of people. They are preying on families making the very difficult decision of where and when to send their child for care in the middle of a pandemic. I pleaded to have some compassion considering we are in the middle of covid, I gave a two week notice and they have a waiting list they could easily fill the spot with. Hoping I could get the 2 weeks tuition back. I was told that they would potentially waive the registration fee (which I already paid) if we chose to have our daughter come there in the future! Just wow- this isn't a materialistic object I'm trying to get a refund for, this is the care of my one and only daughter! It is clear that my child would've been nothing more than a paycheck. So the silver lining in all this, is that my child will never step foot in that place and I hope to prevent other families from going through this. As they said they have this policy because this has happened before- well this is a special community down in Key West, and I will make it my mission to make this community aware so that no other parents get caught in their trap! Other people in our party made reservations after us with other companies and were on their carts before us. Customer service was not good. You can find better carts for cheaper prices elsewhere. Snorkeling with Fury, Kayak Tours with Lazy Dog, Scavenger Hunt, Birthday Party & Dinner at the Conch Republic right in the middle of the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony, finishing on a sunset cruise with Fury. Everyone had a great time and Maria helped make sure we picked the right events and setup reservation blocks for all our events, and then made sure the events we sponsored went flawlessly. The casual "Find the best KeyLime Pie contest" prompted a lot of fun facebook posting and the discovery of many different pies and a few top vote-getters! Maria spent time upfront to learn what kind of experience we wanted, and demonstrated a lot of experience on the island -- and through a series of emails and phone calls planned a series of activities. Ultimately, I didn't need to worry about anything when we got there! Lots of guests asked who helped plan this and said they will use We've Got The Keys for their next event in the Keys. Maria also helped bring in a fantastic photographer that captured our party from all angles. We came from quite a distance and so did many of our guests (Portland OR, Austin/Houston TX, Hershey/Harrisburg PA, Greensboro NC, Louisville, KY). I contacted We've Got the Keys through their website several weeks ago, inquiring about setting up a time to discuss planning my Jan 2015 wedding. I got a quick email response from Jennifer asking for more information from me, saying they had my date available, etc... I replied to that email and then never heard back. A few days later I emailed again. And never heard back. A few days after that I called the office, on a Thursday, to try to set up an appointment to talk the next week. I was told that Jennifer was out with a client and had a busy weekend but would call me back on Monday. I was surprised that someone trying to gain my business wouldn't take the time to make a quick call or send an email to set up an appt but I figured I could wait until Monday. It is now a week later and I still haven't heard from anyone. Very disappointing. They may be very good at planning weddings but unfortunately, because of their poor communication & customer service, I will never know.
