Tasty food, but relies on timing. Best time to visit is during the day, when the buffet items are being replaced often and you are more likely to have fresh options. As with all restaurants, some items are better than others. The servers are nice enough, a little slow on drink refills but otherwise are attentive and nice. Comfortable atmosphere, big dining area with huge, beautiful chandeliers make the place look very upscale, but still comfy enough for the jeans and t shirt set. On a Sunday afternoon at around 2:00pm, I will say it wasn't busy at all. We were greeted and got shown where to sit right away. Very big and spacious room where to be seated. This buffet has so many options it's amazing. The freshness of the food was a little off. They had so many of each item I feel it got cold really fast since there was not enough people in the restaurant for it to get fresh/new stuff. The bathrooms on the other hand, were completely disgusting. Water, EVERYWHERE, on the floor. Very unsafe for customers. I would recommend this place to people, to at least try it. I will gladly eat here again, but hopefully the food is more fresh and the bathrooms are more clean. read more

Barely warm and no new hot food being brought out. Everyone too busy closing around 20 or fewer customers there. This is hands down one of my favorite places to eat. Their food is quite delicious, and kept up with quite nicely for a buffet. My favorite dish is the walnut chicken, the sauce is to die for. The servers are quick with drinks and quick to clear the table when you're ready for your second plate, from appetizers to desserts, you can't miss with this restaurant. It's been a few years since coming to the four seas, hubby and I decided to take a two hours trip to see how it is after so long. The four seas super buffet is located in Baxter, Mn in a strip mall, with easy access. We walked in right before 12 pm (lunch) into a very large area with lots of seating, buffet is located in the back. Noticed right away that the floors are cracking and breaking up and black runner mats were very very worn in bad need of replacement. Tables/chairs were clean, floor not so much. Bathrooms were also clean. Some of the buffet seemed to be in major need of attention. Workers/owners did not seem to be as caring about their place like they had the last few time we were here, service was good, quickly seated and were giving our drinks, our plates were quick to be cleared, had to ask for refills on our drinks and the waitresses just didn't seem as friendly. The food, awww the food, general tso was mostly liquid along with another chicken. Garlic green beans were very good, dumplings were crispy and dry, I did like them, but most wouldn't. My fake crab casserole with cheese was very dry and actually almost burnt, but I will admit I did still kind of liked it as well. But clearly it was not good. The stuffed mushroom were a little on the over toasted side, salmon was picked on from both ends with a small piece left, other dishes were equally not appealing, they had two kinds of noodles and they were good, pepper steak that was the best we ever had, it was that good, big slices of perfectly cooked bell peppers and thick slices of tender meat in a flavorful sauce. Also good was the fresh seafood medley. They had salt and pepper shrimp that were not the salt and pepper shrimp I've had, but very good as well. Chicken on a stick and Mussels were over cooked to the point they were getting dry on the inside, onion rings were real good, stuffed seafood balls were real good, I think, not sure what they make them with but have the fake texture of the crab sticks, rolled up and lightly battered with a little crab claw sticking out of the end. Yummm, broccoli in the chicken was very good, they had very large slices of zucchini and other veggies in which I thought was as tasty as well. We never realized the sushi station was open at lunch, when we had gone there other times before Covid didn't have this option till dinner, so can't tell you about that, maybe next time, if we go back, finished up the meal with strawberry ice cream that was good and hubby had the sesame, bean paste balls(which are his favorite), said they were good on one side but hard as rock on the other. Will we be back? Will we make a point to drive 2 hours just for seas super buffet again, I doubt it especially with so many other Asian places that are as good or if not better, if we're in the area, maybe and see if they picked themselves back up again. Sad to see that it had gone down hill. For this I changed from five star to three star rating. read more

Haven't been to the buffet in years. However, when I've ordered takeout food, Four Seas has never disappointed. Tonight we had the house fried rice and it's some of the best I've had. Shrimp were big, and the meat was plentiful, barbecue charred pork. It was the bomb and I will be getting it again and who wouldn't for under $10 even better. read more

This place is huge!! The interior is massive and feels very open. The food, however, is mediocre and about par for the Chinese buffets that one can expect. Just moved to the Brainerd lakes area. Enjoyed our lunch at the Fours seas. The staff were very attentive, the food was hot and tasty. The Sushi was really good sushi rolls. Great flavor and Wasabi was excellent. Many shrimp and crab dish and appetizer options. The chicken dishes were great. Very much enjoyed the place. Reasonably priced too. Pretty good for being in Minnesota. Like all places on the mainland like this, it is very americanized chinese food. Many of the dishes were very saucy, which i like. The servers were very nice and prompt with taking plates from our table check in, so 5 stars for that. I give the place 4 stars overall because i wished there was a tad more variety, many of the dishes were more "american" food than the chinese you would expect. Probably due to the area. The staff was very friendly though and the place has these beautiful glass/crystal chandeliers. Also was very clean, which is important for a buffet. Horrible service. You try to take to these servers and they just ignore you. On multiple occasions I had asked for a refill on my husbands drink and then the other day my mother asked them for refills on ours drinks and they just looked at her and walked away. We were very unsatisfied with the customer service at this restaurant. We called at 8:45 (they close at 9:30) to ask if they had dine-in available and we were told yes. So we drove all the way there and then were told we were actually not able to dine in. However, they said we could still order off the menu for take-out. This is a decent Chinese buffet for the area. I don't expect anything gourmet at a buffet and the kids liked it here. There a several things on the buffet that aren't Chinese, but I'm assuming that's to appease kids and the non adventurous eaters out there. Some things are delicious, but others need some work. (General Tsao's chicken needs spice, it was very bland). I like that there is sushi and I have enjoyed all of the types I have eaten here.
