This is our go-to place for a celebratory meal. We are always greeted in a very friendly manner as soon as we enter the restaurant. The waitstaff are always attentive and polite and come back to our table to make sure we are happy with our food and if we need anything else. We love the music and vibe of the restaurant. It's always very clean and that's awesome because it's always busy when we eat there. The food is so so good. I am so happy this location is in Baxter, since Japanese cuisine is our absolute favorite. I haven't tried anything there that I didn't like. My fiancé has had quite a few different Ramen bowls and has loved each of them. The buns are our favorite appetizer. Good food, great service and quiet place to sit. We had a service animal with us, and they were very accommodating of our needs.

One of the best sushi raamen restaurants in Town, I had the ippin ramen the broth was really good, I was hungry though! Not to mention also did the Energy roll, if you like Unagi, get this, can't go wrong with this one. Our waitress was really quick also, and very polite, went through the menu with us and answered our questions with what was in the rolls etc. The indoor vibe is overall really nice, it was quiet when we went, and I definitely look forward to coming back next time we drive through Minnesota! read more

Ippin Raman may be a bit on the pricey side, but if you want quality sushi and delicious Raman, this is the place to go in town. Our server was on top of drinks, and right there when we needed anything else. The building was beautifully decorated and the booths were very comfortable. So happy to have a quality sushi place in the area. This place is legit! We are serious sushi fans and have eaten at some of the best sushi places in the country. We have a cabin in the area and in the past have had to take a sushi hiatus for the summer but no more! The menu offers a large selection of rolls (should out to the Baxter roll and the Super Dragon Roll and the Snow White roll) that are HUGE. The sushi offerings (fish on rice) are not extensive but we ordered a sushi assortment and all the fish was fresh and tender. We didn't try the ramen or cooked offerings but they looked good as the servers brought them by. The service is attentive and the atmosphere is pleasant. We will be back for sure. read more

Great Sushi and I love Sushi. If you can't find what you want they are more than willing to create whatever you want. Found out they serve liquor now. When I was there they had yet to obtain the license. The service was very accomdating. THe guys rolling the sushi are very fun and do a great job rolling the sushi. The owner I have talked to a couple times, very nice man. He is doing a great job. I am just so happy that I finally found a great sushi place to go to Imoved up here 27 years ago no sushi anywhere soI learned how to make them myself. The interior is spatious, bathrooms are clean, and the decor looks authentic which is always a good start when you go into an Asian restaurant in the middle of rural Minnesota. Ordered the Kara age and char siu ramen while in Brainerd for a bachelor's party weekend with some friends. The service was good, server got our orders correct and food got to us speedily. Very friendly staff-greeting everyone on arrival and quick to take dining order. Atmosphere was laid back and dining room was decorated nicely. We ordered a few different items from the menu, and we were slightly under-impressed. Shrimp ramen was lacking in flavor and bland, sushi rolls also were very bland and lacking in flavor. I have been here once to dine-in and once for take-out. Every time the food is amazing no matter what you get. Servings are quite large and normally have two meals worth of food from one dish. Wonderful service that is willing to accommodate to larger groups at last minute. The ambiance is great and very relaxing. Very different from other Asian food places in Brainerd Baxter area.
