I discovered Austin's Furniture Depot after my visit to Upscale Cheapskate. This local furniture…read morestore has a Keep Austin Weird vibe. In fact, all their Austin signs and Keep Austin Weird signs were a draw to venture into the store. Austin's Furniture depot is located on Burnet Road and offers a unique mix of new furniture, statement pieces, and items from local artists. This is not your typical furniture store. Surprisingly, the Austin signs are quite affordable. I asked Shawn one of the store managers, what do folks do with all these signs. He responded by saying the put them in their homes and businesses. One of the eye-catching items in the addition to the signage, are the abstract and unusual artwork covered in shiny glass. I love abstract anything, therefore, I was very intrigued. They also had some individuals featured in the pictures with bold and colorful features. Shawn was friendly, knowledgeable, and very pleasant. He asked what I was looking for and took time to point out some potential selections. It was an overall very engaging and pleasant visit. Will definitely drop in again...

What I did not expect was the high prices. Pretty overpriced for the age and quality. Horrible Customer Service…read more My family and I have purchased thousands of dollars of furniture with this company and you would think they would be happy and quick to address any concerns we have. I purchased a King sized bed and when I took my bed home to put it together I noticed one of the slacks were shorter than the others and couldn't reach the hole on the other side of the bed. I called multiple times and it took them over 2 months to get me a replacement slack. When I picked up the new slack, it was the same as the slack that was too short. So I called back to get help and they are asking me to take pictures up close and far away of the slacks and email them as if I'm asking them for an entirely new bed. I'm asking for just 1 slack to be replaced and they are making me jump through hoops to get that. I will honestly say they have good prices on their furniture, but their service is terrible.

Avoid this store at all cost! I bought a large rug on 6/13 from Ransom Smith and was told it could…read morebe delivered the next Saturday--something I later learned was completely impossible. Nearly three weeks went by with zero communication. When I finally called, the store told me to call the delivery company, who told me they didn't have my phone number because the sales associate listed the store's number as mine. I gave them my number and scheduled delivery for the following week. The day came... no rug. They still hadn't updated my number, and they didn't even try to deliver it. Their "solution" was to make me wait another week. This was incompetence at every step: the associate who gave false information, and added the incorrect number for the delivery, and the delivery company that couldn't manage basic contact details. I will never shop here again.

I almost always go to this store sweaty…read moreand sans make up after jogging or spinning--today I went in with my 5 month old puppy after a walk. The employees are always courteous and helpful. They were super sweet to my puppy. I have never experienced any judgement about my attire. Today, my trip was to replace some missing wash cloths that match the bath and hand towels I had purchased on a previous trip. Not a big sale and the people at the store were super kind to help me locate the correct style and color. As to the pricing---yes this merchandise is expensive. But I do think that is because of the quality of the fabrication. If you are looking for inexpensive linens, there are literally hundreds of other options. If you are looking for high quality, organic, cool sleeping linens those are expensive here and everywhere. I appreciate the curation of the store. I have purchased many pillows, bath linens, bed linens, duvet covers, and accessories. I think they have nailed the unique casual chic style that is so associated with Austin. I would recommend a visit if you're in the area and looking for high quality home decor and linens. Thank you for your store!
