Oh. My. God. I am in love with this place. I took a bunch of photos so be sure to take a look at the lovelies they have here. What brought me in was a chair I saw at one of the little shops off S. Congress and I had to have it. My friend said it looked like Four Hands and when I turned it upside down to look that's exactly where it came from. Sadly, it is discontinued recently (like within the last 6 months) and I can't find it anywhere. But one of the employees, named Tristan I believe, took me around showing me very similar items and telling me about the current sale they have on some of them. While inside I saw several beautiful things I loved, book cases, dining tables, dining chairs, couches, night stands, lights, lamps, clocks, mirrors, console tables, you name it. It's gorgeous in here. We chatted with Tristan for a while who said Four Hands sells to Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn, etc. and several other retailers so the style is very similar. But their prices are FAR more reasonable. They won't ship it to you unless you are there in person or have been in recently in person - you can't call and order over the phone because since they distribute to so many other stores they can't compete with their prices unless it's show room bought in Austin... good to know. I'm still searching for those chairs but if I can't find them I can get my friend to get me one of the ones I saw there and have it shipped. Gorgeous, I wish we had one of these here but I'll know where to go in Austin for great stuff next time I'm in town!

    Warped table top.

Spent $3000 purchasing the Brooklyn Dining table from Four Hands who advertises that the table has blended woods and "materials' of natural quality" but what Four Hands DOESN'T tell you is, don't get it wet! The top is a piece of shit veneer, so when wet, water absorbs into the seems and the veneer warps and bubbles (see attached photo). Then, when you call Four Hands for warranty support, you get the proverbial finger.

Good call John E. on reviewing Four Hands! Here's a place that totally slipped my mind, but shouldn't have. Headquartered here in Austin, this interior-design-oriented storehouse of globally-inspired home furnishings would likely arouse even an unenlightened design know-nothing like myself. Four Hands has four stores. Atlanta, Austin, Vegas and High Point, North Carolina (random...). The original locale can be found a bit off the beaten path on Woodward Street (near the convergence of IH-35 and Hwy 290). Beautiful, high-quality furniture of every shape and size. Deep dark woods. Gorgeous fabrics. Modern, contemporary, classy, exotic, new age, old age...a little of everything. I would especially suggest Four Hands if you're in the market for a dining room table, a living room chair, or a large bureau. But none of my rambling is important. What's important is that you attend one of their warehouse sales. Unbelievable. On a normal retail day, Four Hands is pricey for the average consumer. But on a warehouse sale day, it's anyone's game. Get there early and get there quick. Sit, lie or squat on your chosen piece. Don't get up until it's tagged SOLD. I've seen a few cat fights. I don't want to see you get hurt, but I do want to see you carry home your brand new kitchen table and matching chairs! Get Your Hands on Four Hands.

Interesting combinations of metal and wood, esp. reclaimed.

It is a bit hectic on the warehouse sale days, so go before or after for great customer service.

If you want to bring home a mask that may or may not be cursed -- this is your spot…read more This antique mall is wild. It definitely leans toward the grotesque which makes for an interesting browsing experience. Creepy dolls, haunted masks, odd surrealist art, a lot of funky religious pieces. In regards to art, the prices seemed to be on the higher end although there is quite a bit of variety (a few hundred here, a few thousand there). I mostly focused on the art but if you're interested in smaller things, I'm sure you can find cheaper items. I did question some of the pricing -- there was a small dinosaur painting for over 3K! We were told it came from a children's museum. Seemed a bit steep nonetheless. I personally prefer to dig around small antique shops and score treasures for a low price. However, this place is just fun to browse. It's like a museum of ugly and interesting objects. If you're looking for a unique date idea, you've found it. Parents -- I wore my baby in a carrier and we had my toddler in a small umbrella stroller. Worked out fine. There's enough room to navigate without little hands grabbing super expensive objects (just keep a close eye, obviously). After our visit, I read some of the older negative reviews (10 years ago) where folks with strollers were kicked out and not allowed in. I guess they realized how much that policy can hurt them. Glad to see them wise up and start to accommodate families.

We arrived only an hour before they closed, and I only saw about 1/4 of the vendors areas before they announced the 15 minutes till close. I ended up walking through the rest of it as quickly as I can and I didn't get to see everything. The prices vary widely, which makes sense, since items are priced by different vendors. I ended up purchasing a vintage frame holder, and I can't wait to go back!

To be honest, from looking at the outside, I did not expect to see much in this store. However,…read moreonce inside, it's bigger than you think, and absolutely crammed full of merchandise. This place bills itself as a thrift store, but the prices are more in line with what you'd see in a consignment store. The aisles are very narrow in order to accommodate all the merchandise. They definitely have some collectible items, including some vintage stereo stuff. Inside you'll also find appliances, toys, furniture, tons of clothes, home decor, drum sets and electronics. They do offer sale prices on certain color tags which are likely the items that have been sitting around for a while. About half the space is given over to clothing and accessories, you'll also find three dressing rooms to try them on. This business doesn't just accept donations, they will purchase them as well. This thrift store carries a higher quality number of goods by far than your average Goodwill, but then again they are priced higher. Plenty of photos to peak your interest below.

A nutribullet for $10. They have a wonderful collection of clothes for all sizes. I'm in a bigger body and sometimes finding clothes second hand is super hard, not here. They have a large and funky selection. If you are treasure hunting, this place is pure gold and a hidden gem. Thank me later.
