Have to comment on this place after the second time here and receiving some terrible service, actually no service at all. First experience had them saying that they could fix my flat tire in an hour. Place was not busy and after 2 hours they say it cannot be fixed and suggest buying a new tire. Told them to just put the spare on and i'll buy the tire myself. Another hour passes and they realize there's not spare tire (new car). So after 3 hours of waiting I need a new tire. This would've take 30 mins at most to come to this conclusion at other places. Second time here i need a tire patched, and after 2 hours they call me and say it's unfixable and need to order another tire. I highly doubted them as the hole was so small. Went to another place and they patched it in 15 minutes. I would avoid this place at all costs. read more

You've heard this story before. Went in to patch some slow leaks in 2 tires, change the oil, and get new brake pads. Made an appointment well in advance. They quoted me a reasonable range of pricing to solve my noisy brake issue and firm prices on the other issues. I dropped off my vehicle in the morning, it was a busy day for me. The guy at the front said that they would take a look at it right away and get back to me with a firm quote on everything that needed to be done. He said that any parts that were needed should be deliverable by noon at the latest. I didn't get a chance to look at the clock until 12:45, and nobody had called. I called the (same) guy and he didn't even remember me (they have a total of 4 bays I think, it's not a big place). When he figured out who I was he said he would have to get back to me with the quote, which is when I assume he got someone to look at the car for the first time. He called back sometime after 1:00 and said he would email a detailed quote with their recommendations and prices. Of course it was a hilarious list of all sorts of random things that "needed" to get fixed, totalling just under $2000. His "multipoint inspection" listed my fog lights in "good working order" even though one is visibly broken (you can tell without turning on any lights, which I'm sure they didn't even bother to do). This is the point where I realized the whole operation was a complete joke. I told him to stick to what I came in for, which magically now cost a couple hundred dollars more than the top range of his phone quote from a few days before . I wanted an updated completion time since they were already so many hours behind what they promised. The guy said they could have the job done by 3:30 and would absolutely call if it was going to be any later. 3:30 comes and goes with no call. I go there around 5:30 and the work is actually done but the guy acts like he didn't fail to call me every time he promised, or totally lie about the timing and the pricing. The brakes don't squeal anymore but there is a new squealing sound when I put the vehicle in reverse that wasn't there before. Considering all the incompetence and underhandedness I'm quite sure the new noise is from them damaging my vehicle on purpose. The only good things I can say about the experience was that they spoke English well and were fairly polite. read more

The friendliest and most knowledgeable service imaginable. The guys working the front desk were what sold me to try this place for my brakes. They were happy to help and educate me about all my possible needs and why each element was necessary or optional. They also happened to catch a huge and dangerous mistake that the Costco tire centre made which I really appreciate. I got a very good price on my breaks and service was quick. This Fountain Tire is in an admittedly tough neighborhood. My wife and I lived in the immediate area from 2010-2014 and over those 4 years, this branch has earned my trust and repeat business. From regular maintenance to odd little jobs like a new thermostat, and most recently, a new Timing Belt cover (lower), the staff is always up front about the price of parts, reasonably accurate on labor time estimates, and rarely do I have to leave my car overnight. Their evaluations of my 2003 Honda Civic's road-worthiness have also been honest. By comparison, the Go Honda (formerly Pointe West Honda) was always more expensive, for everything. Especially labor, and the quality of work was no better despite the cost. If the mechanics have to go deeper or do something extra, I always get a call first, not a surprise when I go to pick up the car. Another comparison, a few years ago I needed new struts, the Firestone garage ripped out my wheel well shields to make way for the new struts and did not tell me. I don't believe this would have happened at this Fountain Tire. Auto garages are notorious for dishonesty, and often take advantage of the unwitting. This garage has been great despite the slightly dodgy location, and I do recommend it to anyone needing service on pretty much any make of vehicle. There is a bus stop right out front on 111th if, like me, you need it. Admittedly they don't have much of a waiting area, but I would sooner have great service over a fancy-schmancy seat any day of the week. Good job guys! read more

Hi there. I purchased four new tires at this location on 01 May 2019. I had been in previous contact with Cory (manager) regarding also checking my brakes at the time of the tire installation and taking my old tires home with me. I dropped the vehicle off, and when I returned to pick it up, I had the following issues: 1. I had to ask for my old tires, then wait for them to be packaged and put into my vehicle. 2. There was no nitrogen in the tires, which is clearly on my invoice and clearly what I paid for. I asked the service clerk and he told me the nitrogen pump was broken. The manager contacted me later that evening and stated that nitrogen wasn't necessary for my tires and the pump was broken, but he would call in about two weeks when the pump was functional once again, and I could return and have my tires deflated and then reinflated with nitrogen (which is clearly what I paid for!). I returned to the store on 20 May 2019 to ask if the pump was fixed yet, and was told the pump was not yet repaired. I have not received any further contact from the store in regards to this, but I promptly paid the full amount of my invoice when I picked up my vehicle. 3. I asked the manager to have my brakes checked at the time of the new tire installation, but this was not done. Thank you for your time, but I would not recommend this location to anyone based on my poor customer service experience. read more

I live near This Fountain tire but never went there because I always took my truck to Speedy for various repairs and so on. One day last fall I had a low tire which I went to Speedy to get fixed and they said it was fine. I liked speedy because they always did good work but I felt the low tire was not looked at properly so I thought well, I can drive over to Fountain tire and leave the truck with them and walk home if needed. They took me in as a walk in. The tire was repaired with in minutes and I was good to go. It had a nail in it. I was very happy with their prompt service and was treated very well. Last week I had another low tire so I took the truck over to them again. And again they were really busy with installing winter tires for people. The customer area was so full of people it was like sardines. Cory said he could take me in and fix the problem anyway. I left the truck there and walked home. a few hours later he called and said the side wall was damaged on the rear tire. I needed a new one. He had a brand new set of goodyears there he could put on but offered to just put on two on the rear to save me a few bucks. The price was reasonable so I asked how much for all four. He gave me a decent deal, knocked off a hundred bucks and gave me the exact price installed, balanced and out the door. Four new top of the line goodyears for less than I expected to have to pay and despite how busy they were, they had me fixed up and on my way within a few hours even though I was a walk in. Cory was really accommodating and made sure I was looked after quickly. He was very nice and respectful. I have to admit it was not at all what I expected. I'm so used to grumbly stone faced people at automotive shops that I was pleasantly surprised with the folks at this particular shop. I will give them my business for a while and see how it works out. read more
