He quoted us a price of $2,000 to fix the issues, drain the pool and do a much needed cleaning (as he put it). On doing so, he found we needed 1 new filter replaced and suggested we do all of them, as if one wore out the others would soon as well. So that added another $600. When his company came out to do the cleaning we were told the grout between the tiles was all cracked and worn out; and to clean it, all of the tiles needed to be removed and new tiles and grout had to be replaced to the tune of another $3,000. We are now upt o $5,600 from the original quote - and we told them NO. Stop the process and we would get another quote. John came back with - he must have made a "math" mistake and it should only have been $1,350. We gave him $900 for the filters and draining the pool and told him no thank you. We do not trust contractors that don't follow through on their promises or who make "math" errors along the way. We subsequently hired Blue Water Pool Company, who did an excellent job, said there were only 2 or 3 tiles that needed the grout to be patched, cleaned the pool and did an excellent job They will have our business from now on.

Diagnosed the issues in about five minutes. Incredibly knowledgeable about pumps, filtration systems and valve setups. Had all necessary equipment in his shop. Within 24 hours the pump was running like a racehorse, in-floor popups were cycling perfectly and the pool was crystal clear. I give John and Ace Pool Service the highest marks!

The pool and the equipment have been taken care of as if it is their own. Customers remember to check for manufacturer warranties and register your products immediately if purchasing equipment from them. We were not informed about warranties during purchase/ installation.
