Terrible customer service! Went to fortune cookie the other day and ordered beef with broccoli and chicken with mixed vegetables. I get their to pick up the food and they slide the brown bag with food in it. I walked out and noticed the sauce was spilling all over my clothes and purse. I went back to show them and the lady blamed it on me that I didn't hold it right even though I was carrying it like a regular bag. She didn't offer to fix the food, didn't give any napkins to clean up and just showed me a brown bag that didn't even fit my food to take home. The food was mediocre and the meat looked sketchy because it looked red. The ratio of rice and meat was crazy it looked like they just dumped a bunch of rice and no meat. I never had a problem in the past beside watching the chef picking his nose, but ever since their daughter took over the store the food has changed some. I hate it when I order food and ask for sweet and sour sauce,She would say that it's already in the bag. But when you get home it's never there. Shouldn't be lieing to your customers. another bad habit is not letting your customers talk and just cutting them off. Pros: fast delivery Cons: awful, awful customer service. The only Asian place in town that doesn't serve sweet & sour sauce with the cream cheese wontons. Meat to vegetable ratio sucks. I could count the pieces of meat I got on my one hand. Tasteless and bland foods. They apparently don't subscribe to the ideal of using salt. Conclusion: do not order/get food from here. I was introduced to this little gem when I was attending UW-Stout from a friend of mine way back in 2008. It's a small restaurant next to a Subway. I was skeptical the first time I came to this place, but it quickly became a favorite of mine and my friends. I've been here dozens of time. Keep in mind, this is a Chinese takeout restaurant. Don't expect Michelin star quality food. This is perfect for some cheap, tasty, and greasy food after a night of cramming for an exam, drinking, or late night snack. My favorite dish is the spicy house lo mein w/ no onions lunch special. It's got a combination of meats: chicken, pork, and shrimp. It comes served with very generic fried rice. The lunch special is served all day. I think the lo mein noodles are made in house because I haven't been able to find a Chinese restaurant that serves these types of noodle anywhere. They are thinner and have the perfect amount of bite to it. Not too soft or firm. Sometimes I like to augment the dish with some soy sauce and duck sauce. However, it's totally unnecessary because the dish is flavorful by itself. Another dish that I enjoy is the aromatic chicken. It's breaded chicken, deep fried, and then mixed with some sweet and salty sauce. It's way better than your typical general tso's chicken. I haven't been able to find this dish anywhere either. I've never had a bad experience with the food and it's always consistent to what I am expecting. The portions are huge for the low price that you pay. The service is okay. This place mainly employs Stouties (UW-Stout students) that is just doing this as a part time job while attending college. They also only except cash so make sure you come prepared if you want to eat here. I've been out of college for a while now and no longer in the area. However, I try to stop by here occasionally when visiting. This is a definite must try if you are looking for some Chinese food in the Menomonie area. read more

This is by far my favorite place in town for Chinese food, and I have been eating here for years. I enjoy their chicken fried rice, chicken broccoli, and their aromatic chicken is delicious. Decent prices, but the food is terrible and the service is mediocre. It's served on paper plates, and is the worst quality Chinese I have every eaten. The breading on the sesame chicken is soggy-there is hardly and chicken, and lots of breading, which by the way, is corn breading. Corn breading?! Nice amount of meat which is nice as I am often dissatisfied with the meat portions at many Chinese eateries but my girlfriend would appreciate more egg and vegetables in the food. Nice to see business owners working and take pride in their business. Been eating here for over 18 years since I was a kid, even after I moved and lived in other states, no other Chinese restaurant lomein or hot and sour soup compared to this place, I'd always make a point to stop in when I visited over the years. Sadly, the place went under new ownership earlier this year and since then, the aromatic chicken is remarkably different, has smaller pieces of chicken and smaller portioned than before. Its great for the price. You get large servings and most of the food is good, but if you don't like mushrooms make sure to mention that since they tend to toss them in quite a few dishes.
