This is the house special with extra sausage.

The pizza was outstanding with excellent proportion of toppings to sauce and cheese. Definitely will be back to try more menu items. Service was top notch!

The gyros tasted like left overs. Being a black male I felt the server was biased against me.

They also have a couple specials that change every week so you can always try something new. Today we lucked out with delicious crab cakes! We also ordered the focaccia, ziti, risotto, chicken parm rigatoni and olive oil ice cream. Needless to say, we were very full when we left and had plenty of leftovers! It's a small space so definitely try to make a reservation to ensure a seat. I get the impression it's busy most nights!

Definitely a bit more rushed feeling with the 90 minute deadline as per usual (still completely get this but wish it could be a bit more flexible for a larger group), but still adored everything we ate and that's why olio still gets top marks. Things to get: -Focaccia- I always love the focaccia and think it plus the red sauce are worth ordering. -Burnt carrots- The burnt carrots were an unexpected surprise that I would definitely recommend. Fun flavors -Pretty much any pasta: casarecce, paccheri, spaghetti Nero. All so unique and delicious in their own ways. Up to you: -Brussels sprouts-still good, just preferred the carrots -Desserts: I preferred the ice cream to the cake. The cake was a bit too dense for my liking but others in my party liked it.

Service was great the whole time we were there, prompt, smiles and kept checking on us…read more We went for just apps to give the place a try. The menu looked fun, on line. When we arrived we were seated quickly at a nice table in a themed Italian space. We had the Calamari, an the Escargot. And finished with a piece of their homemade Tiramisu. All were very tasty: Calamari was a crispy, well flavored rings (darn I like the little squid) with a good sauce. The Escargot were plump and the garlic butter they came with was delicious, used the bread (very nice Baguette) to sop it up an hold an Escargot! A finished with the Tiramisu which was everything a good homemade desert should be ! The only suggestion would be to up the presentation on the plate of both of the dish's; the calamari and the escargot But had nothing to do with taste, which was excellent.

We wanted to try Giovanni's since it opened, and finally had a chance to head over with the family…read more The service was very good. The waiter and bus staff were great at getting our requests and being prompt with everything. The food was great & good. All of the food was served fresh and hot as it should be. They have a great house Chianti that is reasonably priced by the bottle. The filet special was out of this world awesome. Cooked perfectly medium rare, the cut was top shelf and flavor was incredible. The whole dish was excellent with the mushroom red wine reduction on top providing that blast of flavors that complemented a filet. I may get this every time if they continue to have it on the menu. The fettuccine alfredo was good. The pasta was home-made and cooked perfectly. The sauce was a bit bland and was missing something. Maybe some more parmesan, maybe just salt, not sure but while it was good, it lacked the big creamy flavor that alfredo should have. Chicken was very good, grilled and tender. So this one was "Good" The seafood special was another "Good" one. The shirimp was done perfectly but the rest of the seafood was maybe just a touch overcooked. The sauce was a cream sauce but like the alfredo it lacked just a bit of flavor that would have made it a superb meal. Many guests will love that we have a very good Italian place again in North Hudson as it's part of the heritage of the community. We will go back for sure!! CM

She returned throughout my meal to check up on me. Food was good, however the popover she brought out was a bit greasy and tasteless, as was the bread also a bit stale. Other than that the food was good. (I removed 1 star for that and my steak was more medium than medium well. Ambiance was chill, darker due to the Italian theme no doubt. This time there were five of us. We had dinner reservations for 7:30 on a Thursday night. We got there a little early, so we had a drink at the bar. The bartender was friendly and helpful and didn't have an issue when we asked to have them take a group picture. The table was ready ahead of time, and we were taken to a small private area toward the rear of the restaurant. That was nice. Got greeted by a very friendly server who took great care of us the entire evening (best service ever, thanks Cat!). The meal started with the usual warm popovers. Those are always a treat and help take the edge off your hunger. We ordered a couple of appetizers, the Bruschetta and the Calamari. It didn't take long to get both of those, and they were very good. Then, while we were waiting, they brought a basket of bread. Since we just had popovers, I wish they would offer something else, maybe a relish tray? We ordered a number of different entrees. I had the Crab Cakes; there was a Parmesan-Crusted Strip Steak, Scallops and Risotto, Johnny's Chanel No. 5 (ravioli with shrimp and lobster), and Beef Wellington. When it came out, everything was hot, with great flavors, the steaks were cooked to the right temperatures, and the portions were decent. Everyone enjoyed their entrees, with the exception of the risotto, it was undercooked, a little hard, and watery. (If I had known that early on, I would have mentioned it to the server.) Saved room for desserts, we each got our own, including Tiramisu, Creme Brulee, Raspberry Lemon Layered Cake, and Brandy Alexander. A great way to finish the meal. Would definitely come back again. And ask for Cat to serve us.

Food is good quality and portions are healthy. Bread, olive oil and parmesan cheese is a great appetizer provided. My only knock about the food is there's too much cheese on the pizza for a Neapolitan style pizza, but it is Wisconsin and the home of curd town. Live music and the open grounds on a beautiful evening can't be beat. They also provide short wagon a tractor rides through out the evening. The last time we were there we watched two hot air balls launch from the grounds.

So I guess they just didn't want us to sit there? Idk. Lots of games, and even though it's outdoors it can be VERY noisy - lots of parties going on here. Big menu though, and obviously, some of the most gorgeous scenic views you can imagine down here. The vineyard also looked so good. Unfortunately they can't actually grow their own wine here. The soil is too sandy, even for WI/MN specialty grapes. So while they're trying, they just get their label of wine from Minnesota somewhere else instead. Still local enough, so that's okay for me - I would've been pissed if we came down here and all they had was California wine relabeled with a Wisconsin sticker, I can't stand that. So I'm glad they still had local options, local enough. Overall, a really nice place!
