Last dinner of a week on the road and we were looking for pizza. A nephew had recommended this place from his college days in the area. After being here I could see why college students might like this especially the all you can eat buffet. We got here later on a Friday night and had no intention of doing the buffet which was a good thing because it looked like a bomb struck - it was almost totally gone and the salad bar was a mess. We ordered a large meat lovers pizza for about $26. It was huge and with a thin crust. It was very good. They do have cans of beer at a good price. Given the buffet crowd the whole restaurant was a mess. There was just one worker trying to keep the place clean and deliver food to those of us not doing the buffet - she was literally running! read more

We are so happy we just happened to come across this place! Buffet bar was stocked with all kinds of pizzas, 2 soups, garlic bread (GREAT!), and dessert. The salad bar was everything you'd want! The staff was very attentive clearing our plates when we were done so we had room to get more! We highly recommend if you are ever in the area to stop by, you won't be disappointed! read more

I'm pretty sure the pizza is bought from the grocery store frozen and then cooked and served. Only most frozen pizza I've had is better than this. There is a salad bar, that isn't more or less impressive than any other salad bar. There were two soups, didn't even bother. The pizza was disgusting (even though they charged like it was gourmet, over $50 for three people), the mood was depressing, and it honestly felt like a scam. 80's music was alright. read more

Pizza Del Re is back and better than ever. The same good people who brought us Dhimeter's Gyros have worked their magic on this classic north side pizza spot. Get the buffet for a solid salad bar, good soup, and a variety of excellent pizzas. Pizzas are also available frozen or for carry out. The staff are super friendly and helpful, so we quickly had a seat for our infant. I hope they start serving gyros here, too. Good quality eats, excellent service, and owners who care for their customers, staff, and community. Recommended. read more

In Eau Claire for work for the week. I did a "pizza buffet" search on Yelp and Pizza Del Re came up as #1 on the list. A true blue collar working man pizza joint if ever there was one. The interior is dated and the crowd during my lone visit were definitely there during their work day. The restaurant has an old wooden countertop and the pizza is brought out and set on the counter along with cheese bread. During the lunch rush the countertop emptied frequently and quickly. The wait staff did a good job of replacing the pie trays almost as quickly as they were emptied. The pizza is a thin crust pizza that was crispy and had great flavor. A very good cheese bread and a full salad bar to boot. I was astounded when my lunch buffet & soda bill came in at $7.55. That is just unfathomable for an all you can eat pizza buffet. I'm in the area all week and will likely return. read more

Food was good! Service was with a smile. Good family atmosphere, will definitely be back. Did feel bad for the 2 girls waiting and bussing tables. There will always be that one customer read more

What to say about Pizza Del Rey. Thin crust pizza goodness and a buffet to get it from. A well stocked salad bar to fill your veggie cravings with pudding for dessert from it. They had a soup well with an ever changing soup of the day. My personal favorite is the cream of mushroom and followed by the broccoli cheese. The pizza comes out quick, hot and fresh made. There is a delay between rounds of Za goodness for you to choose from due to the limited kitchen size but always worth the wait. In my opinion this is the best pizza buffet in Eau Claire. Do not pass by the non descript outside but stop in for a slice or two. You won't be disappointed. read more

Pizza Del Re - Assortment of thin crust goodness and cheesy garlic bread! - Pizza Near Me - Eau Claire, Wisconsin

The pizza was wonderful and the staff was super friendly! Well done! I will definitely be back!

I was so disappointed. 3 adults and an 8yr old was over $60 to eat... all we wanted was some traditional pizza and all they had was gross stuff- olive pizza, mac n cheese, taco, pine apple, sourcrout and some other slop... we were there for over an hour and never was able to eat a normal style pizza and the ones we did try the crust was still raw dough- literally, the dough was raw and stretched from your hand to your plate type of raw (so we stopped eating it), the salad bowl was empty and waited for 20 min to have them fill it up but by then we were full on soup as that was the only we would eat due to the lack of normal pizza. There is no way we ate $17 worth of food. We wont be going back which so sad as we used to love their pizza. Suggestion would be stop with all the specialty pizzas and make some traditional ones. read more

Wasn't worth the money... asked for a del.re special to put on buffet and they didn't do it ... not like it used to be...

Pizza buffet is delicious. Pizza would be great if it wasn't a buffet, being that it is just makes it all the better. The sausage they use is awesome. Staff is friendly and can't beat the price and deal. Highly recommend read more

Had a great selection of pizza and salad from their buffet bars. Our waitress, Breeze, was very attentive to our needs. A classic place in Eau Claire we have been to since 1989. Large selection of salad items,,and fruit and puddings for dessert. Soft drinks by pitcher are a good bargain and huge selection. Seems to have a large takeout crowd. read more

Pizza Del Re - Busy place after 5:00pm - Pizza Near Me - Eau Claire, Wisconsin

I was pleasantly surprised with the pizza buffet and salad bar. The pizza is thin and flakey and the salad bar had all of the basics. I arrived right at 11:05 so everything was fresh and ready to go. Our server (I think was also the owner) was nice and quick. Something small but nice, was being able to get Mountain Dew in a can since I'm not the biggest mellow yellow fan. I'll be going back. (4 stars simply because the establishment needs some updating) read more

The waitstaff here is always very courteous, which has helped me to return to this establishment several times, despite low-quality food. All of the pizzas on the buffet are thin crust, and your generic flavors (pepperoni, sausage, pepperoni and sausage, cheese) but if you ask the staff they can cook up something different for you. However, most times that I go, the pizzas have been sitting out for a while and they just aren't the quality that I would expect, and that would make me want to return. Once I asked for a fresh pizza to be made and was met with something to the equivalence of: "there are already several pizzas there, when there is more gone, we can fire up something different." Yeah, but like, I don't want to eat soggy cold pizza. read more

Even though YELP says closed, it's most certainly open!! Had to stop in while back for Thanksgiving Break to try out my favorite pizza stop. The restaurant was clean and staff was friendly. The smell when walking in was just as I remembered it a few years ago: delicious. Pizza recipe seems to have stayed the exact same, salad bar was clean and had same toppings. Can't wait to come back and try the buffet once it opens! 10/10 read more

Ordered a large thin crust pizza and cheesy garlic bread for delivery. The food was delivered just as I ordered in the time they told me on the phone. Pizza was thin and crispy just as I like it. I wish the garlic bread came with marinara sauce. read more

Went there for the buffet. There were not a lot of pizzas out and the staff didn't seem too concerned. The pizza was thin crust and had a good taste but nothing great. I wouldn't make a special trip for lunch. Maybe the menu items are better. read more

I can not say enough good things about this place! Ever since we moved here last year, at least once a week! The pizza is my favorite I have ever had and the salad bar is perfect! We will continue to be customers for a very long time and spread the word for how amazing the food is!! read more

Appears to be a low-class dive offering cheap gut-rot, but it is, in fact, heaven on earth. So cheap, it boggles my mind, both beer and their all you can eat buffets. The truly surprising part is they use honest-to-god real ingredients. I've never felt anything other than deliriously full after consuming mountains of their pizza. Their soup may look like a nuclear cheese bomb, and their salad bar is basic but adequate, but the pizza... my GOD, the pizza... I have special dreams about that pizza buffet. I have seen the place nearly riot because the kitchen couldn't keep up with the ravenous demands of a dining room full of professional over-consumers. So sometimes you get a show with your pizza too. Arcade games from mid-1990's, still only 25 cents to play. The place is my Chippewa Valley food Mecca. Love you, Pizza del Rey. Never change. read more

Usually good...came today and the sausage on the pizza looked pink, found something weird in the pudding. Staff was sitting on their phones. Some were sitting in booths while others stood over by the buffet and they all talked about who knows what. Pictures as well. Also when checking out some staff in the kitchen glared up and then went back to working. The girl who rang us up seemed very unhappy and then some girl walked by and she started talking to them while we were waiting for our card back. Only good thing about tonight was our waitress was great. read more

Go here with my family every Sunday! Very cheap and good. The employees are very nice and I like the suckers on the way out.

I'm giving this four stars with reservations. This review is for take out only, This place has been our go to of late for pizza . It's a great value. We get the thin crust with the fresh mushroom sausage and extra cheese. They give you a bounce back coupon and I think that saves you 50 cents. It's very reasonably priced . We get the thin as I said...it's thin but holds up and it's not burnt! We used to get the regular crust but thin is better. This isn't a che che pizza joint....it's a working mans pizza joint. My wife and I think they have the best tasting pizza sauce in town. The pizza is hot and fresh . I think my total for the medium pizza was like $11. The staff is always busy but if you engage them they can be friendly. We have this one issue....and they always make it "right". But we prefer to have our pizza in slices not squares. But they have forgotten a couple of times....not the end of the world. I give this 4 stars but really more like a 3 1/2 based on price to value. You can pay more for a pizza but why? read more

$4.50 for lunch $5.50 for dinner plus drink Pizzas are all thin crust and good for the price. One thing that would be nice is if they label what's on the pizza. Another flaw is sometimes there isn't much up there and when they do bring out a fresh pizza it's every man for themselves up there. Typical salad bar, gotta love the tub of chocolate pudding. :D Garlic cheese bread is good but you might have to wait for them to bring it out and fight for it! Overall great for the price read more

A "must" in Eau Claire. Best pizza buffet around. Great warm family-ran-type environment. Every kids favorite place to go.

Food was good and reasonably priced. Server was nice but if you are at all concerned about COVID or the Delta variant, this is definitely NOT the place to go. The place was crammed with people with very little distance between tables. It appeared there was no limit to how many people they could cram in. Children running in and around the tables screaming and yelling at the top of their lungs with the parents oblivious to what was going on. You couldn't even hear the person you were sitting next to for all of the yelling going on. Total chaos! There was no requirement to wear plastic gloves at the pizza buffet or at the salad bar. A woman came to the salad bar 3 times coughing and holding a tissue to her nose. Had it not been for a family members birthday we would have got up and left immediately. We will not be going back here until there is no more COVID period! read more

We came in on tonight with a large party a family. A family Reunion of sorts. There was 15 of us. The employee Jeremy was very attentive and ask what we wanted for pizza suggestions. 1st I don't think EC has a great pizza place. This is the best EC has and it is good. Don't expect the cleanest restaurant in town when you go here. Yes, it is on the dirty side but I have never became sick eating here. Please don't let my last few thoughts make you not go to this place because it is good but just not very clean. I have lived in a few large city's and trust me this is the best very thin crust pizza EC has to offer. The salad bar is good too. All for a very low price! read more

I will go out of my way for Pizza Del Re. We found it a couple years ago when I asked the guy at Verizon where to find the best pizza in town. He said don't be discouraged by the outside appearance. He couldn't have said it better. I don't get to Eau Claire often, but occasionally when I drive by on Highway 29, I will take the well-worth-it detour. read more

First off, lemme just say that this is the best pizza in Eau Claire, hands down. Prices for both the buffet and the whole pies to go are great. Service is quick and simple, which I like a lot. The dining room however isn't very well-maintained. Lights aren't on over the buffet so good luck finding out what pizza you're grabbing. I've seen cigarette butts in the potted plants and stuff before. Kitchen looks clean from what I've seen though. I've eaten Del Re pizza since I was a kid, and don't intend to stop now. Great stuff! read more

Pizza variety on the buffet was limited. Seemed to be more people than food. The thin crust wasn't crispy and the toppings were sparse. Wasn't the worst, but certainly not noteworthy. read more

Pizza is always excellent. Thin crust traditional style. This place is nothing fancy and at times they are slow at cleaning tables.

The pizza is okay. There was not a lot of variety on the buffet but it was hot and fresh. The salad bar was good and fresh with the usual ingredients. You seat yourself. Lots of room for a large party. read more

Two words just nasty. The pizza was not hot. There was barely anything to chose from when I was there. It took 10 plus minutes for a waitress to ask us what we wanted to drink. She had no menus and was quite rude. Couldn't find a name tag. I get that it was lunch and they were busy but wow. I was really disappointed. The buffet was as before stated barely warm. Never had anything to chose from. Top that off with the fact we never got drink refills and it was the worst place I've been locally. Super sad. Won't be back read more

Cheapest buffet in Eau Claire. It's a really cool building, kept clean despite the fact that they haven't updated the facility since it was built (some 30 odd years ago). They have good pizza, a decent sized salad bar, a desert plate, garlic bread, and a soup of the day. You can also request that they make a pizza and they will place it in the buffet line. Prices are, as I said cheap. They even have a few arcade machines. I had to dock them a star because it's not the biggest buffet in the world, it can be really packed sometimes. Still, I recommend trying the place, especially if you have kids. read more
