Don't worry about parking; just pull your car right up to the door and your car will be valeted. Upon entering Forte, you can go to the right and utilize their coat check, or keep on walking to your right and make your way to the bar. Beautiful ambience at the bar. Inviting, great cocktails, and exceptional service. If you walk through the front door and walk straight, you'll be greeted by the host, and she'll take you to your table. Carlos Landi was our server and his service was 5-star, simply impeccable. Not only did he go over everything on the menu with us and tell us the specials, he let us chat after our meal and didn't rush us out. Overall 5/5 and we all will be back!! Delicious!

Forte is an Italian restaurant with valet parking, and from the outside, it's a bit misleading. Before you even walk in, you'll see a dress code posted, setting the tone for the evening. The service was just okay--our server did the bare minimum to check in on our table. The crowd? Mostly big Italian guys, with the bar area vibing to '70s hits and freestyle music. The best part? Watching groups of moms dancing and letting loose--it definitely adds to the entertainment. Food: Our table of four started with stuffed artichokes, mini meatballs, and burrata. Solid appetizers but nothing extraordinary. We should have changed the spongy meatballs for the crab cakes. For the mains: Salmon with polenta and grilled asparagus - Not bad, but honestly, you could make better salmon at home. Veal Parm - Easily the standout dish. Rich, flavorful, and worth ordering. Shrimp with squid ink linguini - I can't comment on this one because I personally can't stand squid ink. The smell alone is enough to tell me all I need to know about this bitter dish. Chilean Sea Bass with Parmesan Risotto - Tasty, but at $50, it wasn't exactly a game-changer. For dessert, we shared the tiramisu and crème brûlée--both were delicious and ended the meal on a high note. A little disappointed I just found out restaurants no longer torch the crème brǔlee at the table. Overall, Forte is a fun spot for large groups. The food is decent but overpriced for what it is--you're really paying for the atmosphere. If you're looking for a place where you can eat, drink, and dance, this could be your spot. Just don't go in expecting mind-blowing Italian cuisine. Would I return? Maybe--with the right group of people

I love going to Forte indulging on their delicious specials this time. I had the Chilean Seabass, which was to die for fell apart like butter meat very well cooked and nice portion. My friend had the lobster ravioli, which were also delicious and the vodka sauces definitely a treat. The wine is awesome. I had the Cabernet service is nice. We sat at the bar although ambience is a little serious and older, the food is worth the visit get ready to spend around $100 per person and the perk is the valet parking. You don't have to worry about your car and walk distances or start looking for parking.

Visited Forte on a Friday with reservations for two. There is valet service in front of the restaurant which is convenient. Once we entered the restaurant we were greeted and directed to the coat check. Thereafter we were given the option of the main dining area or the speakeasy. We chose the speakeasy. The speakeasy is very nicely decorated and has a dark speakeasy vibe. The server was friendly. We ordered the beat salad as our appetizer, which was very good. It came with what seemed to be a fried cheese on top which complimented the flavors of the dressing. Next, we ordered entrees. I ordered the spicy rigatoni with blackened chicken and my sister ordered the chicken francese. Both dishes were very good. I took the remainder of my dish home and it was good even as left overs. For dessert, I ordered the chocolate mousse and my sister ordered the crème brûlée. I wasn't much of a fan of the chocolate mousse, but I did eat it. They lost a star because the speakeasy area has a door that leads to the residential building/restroom which would bring in a cold draft of air every time someone opened it. Also, our server was slow. It seemed she disappeared for a while as we waited for the dessert menu. Overall good food. They have a DJ on Fridays. Customers are diverse and it seems to be mainly a 40+ crowd.

Had the most amazing Golden Saints and Sinners Party here on March 02, 2024! Atmosphere: I was given the tour of the penthouse and was already sold out by the elegant interiors. The winding staircase added to its charm and having the outdoor patio available for my hookah station and the covered patio for the buffet service was outstanding. The staff were extra attentive and the events manager gave us creative freedom to decorate the place as we envisioned and boy how that place turned out! We asked to decorate early and we were even offered coffees,teas, espressos and cappuccinos while decorating! The events manager, sent out to iron our black tablecloths and the staff followed specific instructions on how we had wanted the tables arranged and tea lights lit! And to top it all off, they allowed us to do aftercare the next day! Kudos to Mike Cifone and team! you all Drinks: It was a blur that night but I at least had an old fashioned, an espresso martini and a couple of others which were top shelf stuff and enjoyed very well that they should be illegal! Most if not all of my guests really enjoyed the open bar! Food: I was too busy to eat that night but I had the taste of the buffet and finished everything on my plate. Can't exactly recall what I had but I had dined there before and remembered the food and service to be superb!

The food was good; we got the chef special, the beef ravioli, was really good (10/10), then the carbonara with a side of chicken (7/10); my appetizer was mozzarella en carroza (100/00 amazing) and the dessert tiramisu (9/10). About the service 6/10; the server and host were amazing, but I felt I little disappointed with the valet parking, he was rude.

Everything went well! We sat at a bar top table at 6pm on Saturday night. We didn't have reservations but would highly recommend because at 6pm The bar was full and by 6:30 the restaurant was very busy. The servers were attentive, she even let me taste two of the red wines before I ordered a glass. I had the super Tuscan red and it was delicious, fruit forward and full bodied(if you haven't had one before ). The stuffed artichoke was tremendous, plenty of stuffing and it is topped with a sauce that is so delicious, I just wish they cleaned out the artichoke heart. The chicken scarpiello was delicious but spicy and the breaded eggplant over arugula was so good, the stewed grapes tomatoes that come with it were so sweet. We didn't feel Rushed and enjoyed our Saturday night dinner. We will go back to try other items on the menu. All the food coming out looked very good.

Our first time to Forte in Hackensack. When you walk in, you notice their outdoor seating setup on a patio with lights decorating the area. Walking in you are embraced with a majestic stairwell leading to upstairs dining only for parties. Very impressive. To the right you see a beautiful bar that has top notch liquor. Seated in the main dining room, you are greeted with a waitress who attends to all your needs. The food was delicious along with a creative presentation. The only negative: very loud where you cannot have a good conversation.

Forte was absolutely amazing and we can't wait to go back for more! All of the food was delicious but the short rib risotto has my heart. They have a great cocktail menu and the lychee martini was my favorite. The ambiance was the lively and everyone was so welcoming and kind. Overall a great date night and we will be back. read more

I had the most amazing clam pizza! I will never have another pizza again. When you have had the best why settle for second? Perfect crust, perfect garlic slivers, everything. I only eat pizza once or twice a year because of the calories. I will never waste my calories on another pizza again. read more

I live across the street and couldn't wait for this restaurant to open. Last night I went with my neighbors and we were not disappointed. First class treatment given upon arrival, and throughout our stay. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Classy decor, beautiful setting. The food we ordered was plentiful in serving size, fresh seafood, crisp salad, the burrata was perfectly made, as was the stuffed artichoke. Our main dishes were superbly executed, kudos to the chef. I noticed that our party were not the only ones enjoying their food, as the overall ambience was conducive for a high-end dining experience, at a very reasonable price. The service we received was great! It was her 2nd night there and she did great. She found out answers to our Qs. We sat outside and the ambiance was great until they turned the outside lights on. We had penne (made in house) with the vodka sauce. In my opinion, it needed more sauce but very good. I had the escarole as a side and it was fabulous. read more

Back to NJ and back to Forte again , sorry didn't take any food pics but was not disappointed had the calamari which is fantastic And the shrimp cocktail was just perfect. Main meal Veal Martini perfection on a plate, had a side of homemade parpardelle pasta with a nice red sauce . Other people had veal parmigiana, chicken parmigiana with vodka sauce and apple tart for dessert. I don't know what more I can say fantastic meal fantastic place. read more

First off, despite the name, this is NOT a pizzeria. We were initially seated in the dining room, but the menu had no pizzas. They then moved us to the bar area where they said we could order a pizza, but the menu there only had a few items they called "pizzettes". Still confused over what was going on, I asked if we could just order a regular pizza. The waitress had to go check, then came back and said the regular pizzas were only for delivery/take-out, but they would let us order one. Except there were no menus for regular pizzas, but we could just tell her what we'd like. So we ordered a large pepperoni, but I'm guessing what they brought out was one of the "pizzettes". And it was probably the worst pizza I've ever had in New Jersey. The crust had exactly the same cardboard-like texture and flavor of a frozen pizza. With almost no sauce. read more

I attended a family celebration in their upstairs private space this past weekend. Not only was it a beautiful venue, but the service was exceptional. Due to some recent dietary restrictions I have, I needed different food than what had been planned by the hosts of the party. I was prepared to just not eat. Someone communicated my needs to the staff and they went out of their way to accommodate me and one of the owners even checked in to ensure I was taken care of. My food was exactly what I needed and everyone at my table was raving about their dishes! Other things I liked: It was raining when I arrived but there was a covered awning and valet parking. We didn't use them, but there were great covered outdoor spaces. Overall a great experience there! read more

Hi friend, I have been at this restaurant twice during "happy hour ". First time I was there a had a small plate of calamari. It was nothing special the drinks were $$$$ for no particular reason, Seating at the bar was packed with the manager and his GUYS. The rest of the seats were occupied by older people nursing drinks. The second time was much the same. Except I had the octopus which was rubbery and lacked taste. The vibe is expensive and boring. D- read more

My wife and I (and of course friends) have dined here several times and always leave saying how great this establishment is!! (food and service) But this specific review is focused on a private event we just had (My Wife's Birthday!) We could say enough wonderful things about how this turned out. My wife worked directly with ownership and the staff to coordinate a group of 22 couples. They provided us with a private room and helped organize and AMAZING MENU that catered to our guests - Delicious!!! The staff from the time we walked in (Starting at the bar - then to our private room - then of course after dinner back to the bar and DJ) deserves a BIG THANK YOU.... GREAT JOB!!! We also wanted to give a special thank you to: Anthony and Michael Forte who really made this a very special evening!!! Their dedication, commitment and down right genuine care go above and beyond!!! (not to mention they can also make you really laugh!!! :) Highly recommend Forte's for any occasion !!! read more

We live in Essex County and have been regulars at Forte Caldwell forever. I recently heard they opened this restaurant in Hackensack and had to check it out. Wow am I impressed. It looks absolutely amazing and the service was outstanding. They have valet parking and an expansive well stocked bar. They offer a lot of familiar menu items but also a great selection of steaks and chops. I ordered the beet salad and lamb chops. Everything was delicious. If you like beautiful restaurants with great food and service I strongly recommend heading there. read more

Have gone to all of the Forte's restaurants and have never dissapointed..Here, too the food was excellent....although,a bit more pricey than their other locations, I believe.. Staff was wonderful, food was delicious,..just one disappointment : charging $25 for a child's potion of plain spaghetti, I think was over the top. read more

I was recently there on an early Saturday evening. I was to wait for some friends at the bar. I was immediately visited by one of the many managers at the front door saying sorry the bar is full. I was asked if I wanted to sit in one of the tables in the dark side room by myself. I said no thank you it's too dark and scary back there. So I decided to wait at the part of the bar that was blocked off knowing I would not be there too long. I knew my friends would be there soon. I was reprimanded in front of the other bar patrons and was so embarrassed,I decided to leave. The new management is awful. The food is decent but very overpriced. The room is nicely furnished but for some reason it's VERY LOUD IN the place...can't speak on the service since I wasn't given a chance to experience it. read more

Visited Saturday night at 7:30. Service is terrific and food is very good. That being said, if you plan on attending on a Saturday night and enjoy having a conversation with your guests, find another establishment. The noise level was deafening. After being closed for what appears to be more than 1 year for modification, it is astounding that that no accommodations were made for noise. read more

Stopped by for dinner and the place has a modern, bright and clean vibe to it. I got the lamb gyro in pita. The gyro was delicious with good amount of tzatziki which was solid. They have other meat options I may explore but probably just stick to the lamb. If your around the area and in the mood for gyros, I would recommend this place.

The chicken and rice soup was probably the best I have ever had - it had a golden hue, flavorful and clear broth, and perfectly cooked rice and carrots, with just the right amount of tender white meat chicken. That soup was so delicious that we ordered another serving to go. Nick's strikes us as a family business, where they take great pride in their homemade recipes and treat everyone like family. The guy who took our order, brought our food, and interacted with us was so friendly, genuinely kind, and helpful. We also noticed that he was equally friendly to all customers. It was raita with added tomato and onions. Blew my mind and I ordered it again. Next time they give me a yogurty mess that I wouldn't call a raita. No added anything. The time after that they forgot to include my raita and when I picked it up later, it was another disappointing variation. I've stopped ordering their parathas because of this since I cant eat dry partha by itself and who knows what kind of raita they'll give me. Overall, I continue to get platters from them because they're within walking distance for me and the CTM rice platter is so good.

The burger was pretty standard, but having it delivered on a warm brioche bun feels a little bit special. The accompanying fries were also great - crisp and potatoey on the inside. The salad, on the other hand, was a near triumph. Served on a large platter, there was a small field of well-seasoned chicken, shredded cheddar, vegetables, avocado, pico de gallo, and - best yet - some pieces of warm, toasted pita. I even sprinkled some pieces of bacon from my burger into this salad, and wow did that take it over the top. I dug into this salad with fair gusto and would absolutely come back for it...which is saying something, since I wouldn't expect to fall in love with a salad at a diner. The food was absolutely outstanding: every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. A special shout-out to Nelson, who went above and beyond to ensure the event ran smoothly. His attentiveness, professionalism, and kind demeanor made all the difference. He truly made us feel welcome and well cared for.
