On 4/25/24 was the first time I took my 2012 VW Jetta to this place to have my A C. checked. From the guy at the front counter checking me to the office manager Morgan was so welcoming and nicemy cost was a certain amount for checking my A C. for leaks, and a recharge with freon and when finished I left happy that my A.C. was now working and the service was great. 5/14/24 I called and spoke with Morgan regarding my A C. was not putting out alot of cool blowing air and he suggested to bring it back in at no charge. The same afternoon I took my car back to them and the Tech looked for any leaks or other issues but all looked good, Morgan wanted to check my cabin filter inside my car and when he pulled it out he noticed it had been put in wrong by the last place that had changed my oil which was Jiffy Lube. They had crushed it when the tech at Jiffy lube took it out and put it back in. Morgan at Ft Meade auto center ask if I could go buy a Cabin Filter and bring it back to him and he will put the new one in the correct way and he did just that and my A.C. has been putting out much cooler air, im 100% satisfied and will recommend this place to everyone. read more

I woke up to a flat tire and called AAA to come change it for me. I searched yelp to find someplace near me that could repair the hole in my tire caused by a nail. When I called they were friendly and said it would be no problem- no appointment needed. Good thing for yelp or I never would have even considered this place. On the outside it just looks like an old gas/service station - a place I would typically drive by. But when I walked in I was helped right away and was even given a nice discount when I asked about a military discount. I took 1 star off because there isn't a waiting room - just 3 chairs next to the service counter. One of the chairs was occupied so I just stood and waited because I would either be sitting right next to someone or practically at the service counter. Omg! Clayton was a life saver. Took my car to the dealership because I have a maintenance plan, but I had a brake light on. The dealership couldn't get parts for days and wanted thousands of dollars. I'm totally frustrated with this place!!! Drove my newly purchased vehicle from Illinois to Maryland to get inspected. The vehicle failed due to tint, which I could have been informed before I paid. But, they inspected and then told me afterward that the tint was too dark and would charge $200 to remove!!! I'm not saying they did anything wrong, but initially telling me that the tint is too dark, when I could then have it removed for $50, and come back to get the inspection would have been honorable. read more

I had tire pressure issues and despite the center having a booked schedule their guy working behind the counter came out to check my tires' pressure, showed that they were extremely over the recommended pressure, and lowered all four of them to the appropriate levels. I had tires put on next day tire blows out so had them replace it come to find out my tires had factory road hazard warranty so after having the manufacturer call amd request the tire so they could get me a refund was told no problem 6 weeks goes by and we'll don't you know not only did they not send the tire but it can't be found be careful with these guys they are not very knowledgeable I worked as a ASE certified dealer tech for over a decade and these guys are the worst they have a customer jeep for 3 months and still had it and couldn't figure out what's wrong then magically she needs a transmission after months of throwing parts at it if u want a oil change they MIGHT be able to handle it but go at your own risk read more

As other reviews have noted, the folks at Fort Meade Auto Center are fantastic and know their stuff. I had a 2003 Isuzu Rodeo that was stalling out within 1/4 mile of being driven... I took it to AAA Crofton at first. They examined/diagnosed the vehicle, and promptly said they couldn't work on it due to one of the diagnosis error codes (out of 4) being returned. They said this despite the fact I had specifically asked them to check certain aspects of the throttle/gas intake system. After making multiple calls to multiple places, I was recommended to Fort Meade Auto. I spoke to Clay and explained the situation, and he was understanding. I was able to get the vehicle towed from AAA to Fort Meade that evening (Wednesday evening). Clay did tell me they were busy, and it might not be until Monday before they had a chance to look at the vehicle. But the next day... I get a call from Clay. They had a chance to look at the vehicle, and cleaned up the Mass Airflow Sensor as well as the fuel intake system (both of which were mentioned to AAA-Crofton) - and the Rodeo was no longer stalling, and the diagnostic codes related to the throttle were gone as well. Fort Meade Auto provided great service, great communication, and a great price! Highly recommended. read more

I had a MD inspection done on my Suburban at another auto shop which failed me and quoted me $1,800 (cheaper parts) and $2,400 (for more expensive parts) for the repair work but felt the prices were a little steep so I took the quotes and told Fort Meade Auto what was needed to be done (without telling them the quoted prices) and they quoted me $900. Needless to say, I went with Fort Meade and I will be back. They were wonderful. They got the work done quickly and they even passed me without charging me the inspection price. I've since taken my other car there for repairs as well. It's hard to find a trustworthy auto shop (especially as a woman) but I got lucky with this shop. read more

They really came through and did a great job! I live in Alexandria, and had been spending some time in Maryland when my blow motor on my truck stopped working during the Arctic Freeze in Jan 2018. Suddenly I had no heat, and no experience with a local mechanic in MD. Driving 40 miles back To Alexandria without heat or defrost wasn't an option. I went to one top rated Laurel shop (no one at the counter), then tried another mechanic at another shop who said they give free quotes (they don't), and so Fort Meade Auto Center was my third and last stop. I'm glad I found them. Clay was super helpful and able to get the job done within 24 hrs. And, it was cheaper than my previous mechanic had told me. By about $150. Fort Meade Auto Center - No more check engine light, yay! - Auto Repair Near Me - Laurel, Maryland

After reading their reviews & the chevy dealership not being an option till Dec 21st. I was able to schedule an oil change , for today at 11am, with Fort Meade Auto. While booking my appt (last week) I was told it would take 45min to complete the service. The Parking lot is extremely small & had zero parking. Seating area is like 2-3,seats. We showed up 15 minutes early & was told that my car would be taken back momentarily. We didn't wait at the shop & returned at 1215/1220. Upon return we noticed that our car looked like it hadn't been moved so we checked the oil% and sticker. We walked inside & the receptionist /cashier acted like he hadn't seen me before. After giving my name he hesitates and says he will go & grab my keys. After being in the "back" for about 10minutes he returns & says sorry they didn't know your car was here/it hasn't been taken back. I immediately asked for my keys. He runs back to grab my keys & we left without service. complete bs & highly unprofessional. Will not/ would not recommend this place to anyone. Zero stars read more

I brought my 2003 Ford Ranger to Fort Meade Auto Center for AC service. The technician quickly diagnosed what was causing it to blow warm air, which was due to a faulty AC compressor relay. They ran a pressure test of the system, vacuumed the refrigerant, and recharged the system to the correct pressure. I braced myself for a big bill but Clay told me that the total was 95 dollars. I have been burned in the past by other auto repair shops that inflate the labor cost for the work. If you want auto repair work go to Fort Meade Auto Center for quality work and honest people. I took my car here recently for some general maintenance. They charged a fair price and completed the work as scheduled. They even gave me a loaner car for the day since I didn't have somebody who could pick me up. The staff is super friendly and very relaxed. When I tried to pay the credit card company declined the transaction. Even though it was almost closing time in a Saturday they told me to call the credit card company and no rush because this kind of thing happens all the time. I love this place! I have brought my Jeep here twice and will be going back soon for their amazing customer service. The first time I brought it in for the advertised A/C special and they did a fantastic job. They were through and quick. They also offer a military discount, on their already amazing prices. The second time I had my husband bring the Jeep in as it keeps giving us trouble starting, as in sometimes it will and sometimes it wont. I was quoted a fair price for inspecting the car to diagnose the problem so hubby brought it in. Well the darn thing wouldn't replicate the problem while there. (Side note that has happened at three different garages it never has a problem starting while it's in the shop.) So since they couldn't diagnose the problem (darn Jeep) they didn't charge us which I found to be amazing,(AAA definitely charged us) excellent people with exceptional customer service. Soon I need to get my brakes done and they quoted me al most half what AAA did. I'll take the hour drive to get service here any day.
