I have shopped at quilt stores in Florida and all they offer is Florida tropical so for me this store has a very broad selection of material and not stuck in one particular pattern or style. I have done Block of the Month, Saturday Sampler and other projects and I have been extremely pleased with the end product. Linda is very helpful when you have questions on your Saturday Sampler. Their classes are very good and I enjoy all the employees at the store. They are always helpful. Do not be deterred by the other reviews. This is the place to go when you need material or help with picking material for a quilt you are working on. The prices are the same as other quilt stores but the sale room I can always find a bargain.

Bob's Upholstery has been my go-to place for fabric, fringe and upholstery services for over a…read moredecade, and not once have I ever been disappointed. I can be pretty picky, and since sewing and upholstery have been a hobby for decades, I know the difference in excellent quality materials and workmanship versus so-so. (Do not confuse them with Bob's Furniture, as they are a complete different business with no connection to Bob's Upholstery.) This is a three generation business, which was started in Marietta in 1960, and their experience and dedication to their customers is evident. Shawna and her sister and daughter have always been delightful and helpful, and kind enough to fix some things that I goofed up (or purchased poor quality at a place a few doors down from their location). They never cut corners on quality, zippers on cushions and pillows are perfectly completed, and they never over or under stuff. You will definitely see the quality here. I've seen them be extremely patient and courteous with less than delightful customers, so that makes my shopping experience more pleasant. I have recommended them to at least six friends who are also happy with their services and products, and one friend drives over from Alpharetta every time she needs something. Bob's Upholstery is moving in a few months so they need to reduce inventory, so now is the time to snag some great bargains!

Ready for p/u 9/24, too excited since wait been over 6 wks. My fault; didn't QC pillow prior to LVng the store. 1ce home, quickly noticed gapping seam that was unraveling. I placed a call to the store so that they can note that I needed to return it to them. As it sat on the deck, I seen the highest points of the pillow & when I went to feel if it will soften downI was quickly disappointed, the pillow will not distribute evenly and will have the highest point in the middle. Which now really makes this pillow not feasible for Zoe;-( The suggested 51x51 may have been a wash. Update from when I dropped off the BeanBag, walked out a happy customer. Jenny, the Mgr, has always been welcoming since my 1st visit. She came out & looked @ the seam as it was she who took my call YDay. So appreciative as she didn't wait for me to request a solution & offered me to make it right as I began to state that maybe we can insert a two inch material between the two top & bottom cover as to make it a boxed pillow. She agreed it would be a great idea and that she offered to cut up material she has in stock and would get it back to us in about a wk's time. To add, she did offer to correct the seam w/ making the pillow a boxed pillow and no fee. I appreciate her solution & I continue to enjoy visiting Karen's Fabrics when I need to find unique prints for my decor. I can now knit sweaters with confidence, and they are always there to help me if I mess up. The yarns are best. So much to choose from: Cashmere, alpaca, superwash wool, camel, and cotton and silk for knitting in the summertime -- just to mention a few! So much to choose from. And if I want to knit a furry critter or a doll for a child, the have good quality yarn at a more affordable pricepoint (luxury yarn v. budget). Plus I can count on them to always have the needle size I need to start my project -- not to mention beautiful project bags, tools needed for your project, notions, etc. And for at least the last year, they have expert CROCHET classes! Yes, I did say crochet because it seems like it's the new "in" thing to do! I did take a lesson from their crochet instructor and it was truly a lot of fun! I was actually already in the area (see Fabric & Fringe review) but this is actually the third time I've tried to visit this store since they've moved - and each time the store has been closed even though the hours posted on the door and vmail greeting would have you believe otherwise.
