I went to Form & Function the first time because I had a burning knot in one of my shoulders. I chose them because they were close to my office (within walking distance) and they had immediate appointments available for 30 minute customized massages. The place itself is aesthetically pleasing with light colors and natural accents that calm you as soon as you walk in the doors. I selected an appointment with HanChing because it was the first available. She greeted me at the door with a warm smile. Once in the massage room, she asked all the question to determine exactly what I needed and my favorite part is that she broke down how much time she'd spend in each area and if that sounded like it would be a good plan. The massage itself was wonderful - perfect amount of pressure and exactly what we discussed beforehand. I left, walked back to my office, got online and made another appointment. I prefer the online scheduler so that I don't have to continually ask if they have openings on specific days and at specific times. This is a very convenient feature for me. At my second appointment, which I scheduled in advanced, I chose a 60 minute customized massage with HanChing and it was the same wonderful process and experience all over again. I had been going to the same place for almost a year, but the convenience of Form + Function's location and scheduling as well as HanChing's expert massage and the calm facility have convinced me to jump ship from my previous place. read more

Melissa's work helped me tremendously as I healed from a fall/head injury. Really easy to tell how experienced she is by the ease in which she moves and the quickness in her assessment. You know a massage went really well when 2 hours feel like 30 min. Overall amazing person who genuinely cares about your health. Location is great. Melissa is wonderful at what she does. This goes beyond a relaxing Swedish massage - this actually makes me feel better long-term. She figures out where you're the tightest and where things are causing problems, and works through them over multiple sessions. I LOVED THIS PLACE. I feel like I've been to a handful of places in town to get a massage. In my opinion, this place has the best massage therapists --they really knew their stuff. I sit at a desk all day, like a lot of ATXers, and my Massage Therapist was very knowledgeable about what I can do better to feel better. I left feeling a little sore, but like...in a good way haha. Real talk I wasn't planning on going back a second time due to the location being a good distance away from where I live and I'm not a huge fan of street parking - my mind changed completely within 10 minutes of my massage! I've had dozens of massages before and this was the first time I felt like a masseuse was actually able to make progress on my back and relief a lot of my back pain. I've never had a professional massage before, but due to having to do tons of repetitive movements at my job, I was extremely stiff and it felt painful to simply extend one of my arms. I scheduled an hour long massage with Elijah, and I was quite nervous, but he was extremely kind and accommodating. He answered every question I had and was very patient with me, and was extremely receptive to my concerns. The massage itself was incredible; I felt like my body has been positioned incorrectly for so long, and he finally started to put it back where it belonged. I felt extremely light and flexible, something I hadn't felt in months. He even gave me advice as to how to work on my posture/positioning so that I could keep myself centered and not bring anything out of place again, and it has been incredibly helpful. He was really focused on the power of pressure points and it was magical! It's a massage, but they use a completely different technique than I've experienced before, and it's not that great. Instead of kneading out the knots, they just lean into them and stay there for a while. You'll feel more relaxed when you leave, but I've had much better massages. I wouldn't go back. read more
