When we picked up the containers, we were told to keep them upright to avoid spilling. When we got back home we heated up the soup and poured it over the noodles, excited to take a bite. The broth was good but not great, with a simple tonkatsu flavour profile, similar to a Chinese style noodle soup broth.The noodles were thick wavy and unfortunately rather clumpy. My boyfriend said the black fungus in his soup tasted stale. I enjoyed my soup and toppings but wished there was more besides charsiu and scallions. The egg was excellent! I should mention that we've been to Japan several times so are used to a certain level of quality when it comes to ramen. It's pretty good considering where it is. It's not the same as Vancouver ramen but it's still good in its own right and I would have it again. Pork belly - this was EXCELLENT.
