3 meat combo plate, pulled pork, beef sausage and brisket with coleslaw, cornbread and baked beans
Dayne D.

Another first! This time, Fork and Fire. This cool little spot with a sports bar feel originally started as a food truck and they were awesome back then so let's see about now. A warm greeting up entering, always a plus. It wasn't all that busy for a Saturday afternoon, I'm thinking we missed the lunch rush and the pregame final four rush. Perfect timing. We started with the Pulled pork/mac and cheese balls. Delicious pulled pork mixed with Mac and cheese rolled in cribs and deep fried to a golden brown served on top of cheese sauce and green onion garnish. What a special treat perfect opening appetizer. My son and I both had the three meat plate with pulled pork, brisket and beef sausage. It was served with an outstanding tangy coleslaw, a pretty darn good piece of cornbread and I had the baked beans which were perfectly sweet although very slightly dry. The pulled pork was flavorful, juicy and melted in your mouth. Paired with the tangy bbq sauce it was a treat that was hard to beat. The beef sausage, most people would have said was burnt, but let me tell you, that is how the ends of sausage should be. Great beefy flavor, well seasoned. The beef brisket had ONE good quality, it was juicy, after that is where it went completely down hill. ZERO flavor, none, it was extremely thin, almost 50/50 meat to fat cap ratio. No smoke flavor, no seasoning, nothing. Almost like it was boiled to tenderness. This is where this review went from 5 stars to 4. Brisket is meant to be heavily seasoned and put in the smoker. All in all Fork and Fire still puts out great food although be prepared to pay. Over $100 for lunch for 2 with tip. But with beef what it is today it's getting harder and harder to find good deals. A- Happy eating

Tried their sandwich of the month. Chimichurri with ugly steak. I really liked it. My wife loved it.

For starters, I had no idea shedded carrots on wings was a thing. They were great, carrots and all. We only stopped in for a cocktail and appetizers. Wish we could have stayed longer. We absolutely loved the atmosphere, menu and the aroma of the food. We are definitely heading back next time we stop in Oro Valley.

We went back here just two days later with a small group of bikers. We had green chili that was quite tasty but the burnt ends were really a hit. Service was great today even with a table of six.

The prickly pear lemon drop was great

The ahi was old and very fishy. The roasted veggies were actually steamed and mushy. The ribs and pulled pork were tough and flavorless. The Mac n cheese tasted like it came from a can. The server was very good and had the manager comp 2 of our meals.

Chicken Fried Steak, made with Dickman's "ugly steak"

It had been a while since I ate at Fork & Fire. The place was quite busy on a Sunday night. I got the 3 Meat Combo. Brisket was very flavorful, juicy and tender, the sausage was juicy on the inside with a real snap to the casing. The ribs were "fall-off-the-bone" tender. I liked the personal brush for the sauce. The cornbread had a real kick to it. As the setting sun came through the windows, our server watched to see if it was in a guest's eyes, and skillfully moved the plants around to shield them.

Great server. Fun signs. Good food. Wisconsin cheese curds were delicious. I'm not a fan of pretzel buns, BUT I was pleasantly surprised--it was delicious and the best pretzel buns I've eaten.

Very nice & beautiful place. Easy parking. Delicious food. Friendly & awesome service. I like the pork rinds, corn bread & coleslaw.

If you're a fan of under-seasoned deviled eggs, jalapeño poppers that have the texture of milk soaked Melba toast, to-go orders that require a full inspection before you leave the parking lot, and entrées like jackfruit and brisket that somehow forgot to bring the flavor, this might be your spot. Pro tip: pack your own Himalayan pink salt; it's the only reliable way to wake the food up. We've given them three chances to prove us wrong over the last three years. For the life of me I simply cannot understand the positive reviews. My only takeaway is the median age around here is likely sixty something. This is Golden Coral and Luby's style buffet looking grayish BBQ and blanched veggies from the early 90s. Not cool. Oh wait. Now I understand who is leaving these five star reviews. The 65+ cohort. The owner must be that renown chef from our local Brookdale Senior Living facility. Guy and Hunter Fieri wouldn't touch this dive with a ten foot pole. Just say no and drive thru to the In and Out across the street. At least they have ketchup to spice the meat up. Lordy. Arby's in Oracle would be a better choice. There's a chevron down the street too.

Jalapeno Poppers 4 to an order. Very spicy

Sadly we must of had a new server. We went to watch the last US soccer game. The place was not busy. The server had to be asked 2 times to come to our table so we could reorder drinks. We .... 5 of us... We're out of beverages for at least 10 minutes at the end of the game. We had to ask her to close us out. Sad. Food... Overall pretty good!! HH make your own board was good. Pretty shy on the Brie, 1 of 3 pieces of salmon looked grey, but overall it was good. HH Pork sliders were awesome! Pork sandwich was great. Sadly, I had the jalapeno poppers and they were TOO hot/spicy to eat. Filling was very little. They use the whole pepper wrap it in bacon. Bacon was pretty burnt on the outside. Very good on the inside. The pepper itself was just too spicy to eat. I shared 1 1/2 with the group. No one liked them or could eat them. I pushed them aside. We did ask for them to be taken off the bill and they obliged. Overall, great restaurant good food but very pricey.

We decided to Doordash this place and went Baja Beach Chicken. Grilled chicken breast seasoned well with Pico de gallo and avocado. It comes with lettuce, tomato, and raw red onions. I ditched all of those. It would have made more sense for caramelized onions or an option to add grilled mushrooms. There wasn't any sauce either with it (which was a missed opportunity ). Hence, minus a star. I added some Siracha from Chik Filet, which resolved it. I chose the wavy fries that were warm, but that's due to Doordash. Still tasty. They come with the meal. If you want seasoned fries that the spouse got, it costs extra. Should be an either or or option, but I don't own the place. She had the Baja chicken and really liked it. Her only issue wasthatthe bottom bun was gushy due to the double D and all those ingredients on it. There is definitely a need to eat there. Still, I was really surprised by how good it was overall.

Bottega Michelangelo Bottega Michelangelo is a casual…read moreSouthern Italian neighborhood kitchen and pasticceria located in Oro Valley, Arizona. Everyone is understaffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. Remember they're busy because they're good. This restaurant still has that old time feel it's a definite classic type vibe. This is with a modern look of high ceilings and wide open space. It has indoor dining, a cozy lounge, a front patio, and a bar patio with both table service and walk-in café options I was here in the winter many times over the last four years. I really enjoyed the food and staff. I went last winter and forgot how much I love the food. Happy hour really embraces the needs of people of a certain age (older) in the sense that it starts at 4pm and goes until 7pm. So if you come at 4pm you can drive home before it's dark. (No daylight savings in Arizona.) My favorite dish during happy hour is the lamb lollipops. Just love them and the second favorite dish is the Pistachio encrusted baked goat cheese with there great bread. Those things with a nice brown lager (kilt lifter) are a wonderful dinner for me. There's plenty of space for groups to have fellowship together. And some wonderful dinner options as well. It's almost always crowded. It also operates partially as an Italian pastry shop (pasticceria) with in-house desserts like tiramisu cake, cannolis, and the Lemon Blueberry Duomo This Italian family has own this restaurant for over thirty five years.... It's been in a couple locations but moved to where it is over 30 years ago It has good food that is high quality. It has that atmosphere of any old school restaurant in any major city. The highlight was the meatball appetizer. These were huge and the sauce was delicious. Unfortunately, that's where the good vibes ended. I'm not saying it's bad, but these days when I want to spend my money on a nice meal, I'd rather go somewhere where I feel like it's worth the expense. Bottega Michelangelo was just perfectly mid. Not bad, not great, just average.

But.....today at Chili's on Oracle, I had one of the best overall restaurant experiences I've ever had in Tucson. I mean that. Our server, Grace was pretty flipping amazing. She was attentive, nice, and knowledgeable. Very very personable and I watched her keeping an eye on everyone in her section. At no point did I feel like I was missing anything or needed her. She was just always there. That said, the operational flow of this resturant was top notch. Nobody was overworked, nobody doing too much. Everybody had an area and tasks and they got done. I could SEE IT. The food, I got the QP burger? I think it's called, on the '3 for Me' menu. If you follow me, I have a standard for burgers and it's the following: 1. Juicy 2. Well seasoned 3. Thick This Chili's burger surprisingly met all three marks. It was cooked well, was pretty thick, and had a definitive flavor of salt. I was impressed. At the end, Grace gave us giant bags of chips and salsa to go and even offer take home sodas. She was incredible. I will say, there was a bit of miscommunication on my girlfriend's drink choice. She ordered a margarita, but then it wasn't communicated that that replaced her drink with the '3 for Me'. So in essence, she should've been offered a soda or something. We paid full price for the margarita. A bit of an annoyance, but forgivable. Grace gets..... Wait for it.... grace here. Anyway, I love this location now and will return.
