Don't bother. Unless you're ok with eating flavorless and questionable food, I would avoid this place. The food tasted old - I wondered if it had been made this week or last. My fiancé, who happens to be a classically trained chef, said he thought they might have been keeping the brisket sitting under a heat lamp all day because it was very dry. We ordered the brisket and the pulled pork sandwich with Mac and cheese, beans and au gratin potatoes. Everything lacked salt. The brisket was practically flavorless. The pulled pork had an overly peppered flavor. It was as if they poured a bottle of black pepper over it. The potatoes tasted metallic and they didn't seem fresh. The mac and cheese lacked the appropriate spices and had an offensive flavor to which I tried to identify. I'm pretty sure the culprit was white pepper. Just in case you're wondering, white pepper does not belong in mac and cheese. We left without eating even half of our meal. No one bothered to ask if something was wrong despite how obvious it was that we weren't eating. It's disappointing to see another bbq restaurant waste a great location. Maybe the owner should go and have lunch at Rudy's BBQ and then consider whether they want to continue serving such terrible food. If nothing changes, I can't imagine coming back. read more

I took my littles to participate in Fork and Fires kid picnic event that they are hosting on Wednesdays and my kids enjoyed it! My 4 year old loved the science experiment while my youngest enjoyed the soft play! The best part was I got to sit down and enjoy a yummy lunch! Good on them. First, they have added cushions so seating is more comfortable. Second, the food has stayed consistent, which means very good. This time we went with friends and they, too, were pleased. They ordered an appetizer we hadn't had, and it was really yummy; I mean seriously good. My wife went with her mac and cheese fireballs. This place is awesome for big groups! We came in last minute with 10 people. The outdoor seating is on point with a laid back, hip vibe. Games for kids with a great kids menu - love that they feature veggies as a side! The BBQ is legit. I have been to this establishment many times and it has always been a pleasant experience. However, my husband and mother in law went for lunch on Friday and had a rude awakening. Our server was wearing such short shorts that her butt was hanging out. We couldn't even enjoy our food because her @$$ was in our face every time she walked by. This was ridiculous! We didn't go to Hooters for a reason! There was a manager on duty and I don't know if HE didn't notice or didn't care. It is a 5-star meal, but it's also a sports bar ambiance. A large party had entered the restaurant right before us. However, we told the waiter that we had an appointment after dinner and needed to be out in 45 minutes. She said she'd try (fair enough under the present circumstances), and she did! We sat at the bar and immediately shown menus also alerting us that happy hour was in session! We had beer and wine off the happy hour menu! Amazing! I was trying to really like this place! Specially after the reviews I read about the place. My family and I are restaurant lovers and love to go out to eat whenever we can. The price would have been fine if the plates were of quality but since it was nothing special, it could be said that it is quite expensive. It was even more disappointing since it is not hard to cook a great and of quality bbq. The ribs were not as juicy as in other restaurants... and too pink. The brisket was nothing out of this world... plain veggies... you chose another side... for a total of almost $30 (and you only get like 3 pieces). And the salad!!! We got a BUG in the salad. That made me wonder how clean the habits of this restaurant are, since it is not hard to separate the lettuce and desinfecte it. Finding this bug made me realize that the habits of this restaurant might be quite lazy. Drinks were great btw. Fork and Fire took over the old location of The Salted Pig restaurant. Thank goodness they did as it's a great spot! I am glad another BBQ restaurant is in there. Fork n Fire also operates as a food truck around the Tucson area. The restaurant though, is really neat! They have a nice open atmosphere and you can see right into the kitchen. It smells amazing as you walk in. We ended up going on a Friday afternoon around 3:30 pm and it was already busy! I can only imagine what dinner time looks like. The prices are a tad steep in my opinion but it seems everything nowadays no matter where you go. I ended up ordering the full rack of smoked pork ribs, coleslaw, French fries and Texas toast. My boyfriend got their Fork and Fire burger and a side of smoked Mac and Cheese. For drinks I got the Prickly Pear Lemon Drop Martini and he got a 20oz Coors Light. Every was absolutely delicious and spot on for BBQ. For dessert they talked us into sharing a coconut cream pastry pie (miniature portion). So worth the extra few calories! I had a fabulous experience with Fork & Fire. I called from Denver and spoke with Ashley, asking for some help with a delivery for my elderly in-laws' 61st Anniversary. Not only did she deliver the food herself, but she went above and beyond expectations to get it there. My in-laws raved about the food and are now asking for more in the future. Once upon a time, three guys from the Midwest moved to Tucson and started a food truck: Fork & Fire. In 2019 the truck was doing GREAT, serving up full-flavored BBQ favorites with enthusiasm and flare. Then in 2020 tragedy struck. First with Covid, then in October, an electrical fire destroyed most of the truck and practically ended what was left of the business. Fast forward to 2022, Fork & Fire is back brick & mortar style, and in process of opening up in Oro Valley where the Salted Pig used to be. The vibe is still a lot like the Salted Pig, without the whole walk-up, wait in line to order thing. They've enhanced the patio a bit, adding some games and more comfortable conversation areas, etc. I can definitely say Fork & Fire's dishes are a step up in quality and flavor. The menu reflects Midwest BBQ cooking. So if you like traditional Midwest smoke and style in your BBQ recipes, then this is the place for you. Admittedly, I wish the menu would incorporate at least a little Sonoran influence, like some mesquite in the smoke mix or some borderlands dishes on the menu. But on the other hand, what they do, they do very well. It's not cheap. Pork ribs are $28 for a full rack, for eg. But everything I've had on the menu is absolutely delicious. They are still operating in "Soft Opening" mode until all of the signage is replaced in mid-April. But the service is welcoming and attentive. And they're handling large rush-crowds efficiently. There is a private dining space for large events. And they do catering as well. And there will be a happy hour once they officially open up. Finally stopped into Fork & Fire! I loved their food truck awhile back (not so much the political stance so thank you for moving on from that because I just want to eat good food with my family). My family and I all ordered different meats and meals and everyone loved everything! Meat was super tender and flavorful. I even enjoyed the grilled chicken breast! They no longer do smoked chicken dishes fyi. Our server was wonderful and attentive & I really loved my margarita with the smoked salt and lime. Must stand out was the meet. The decor was very casual and the people I talk to on the phone were very nice but sometimes inaccurate in there description of the food.
