I don't live in this area, and that's a shame - because whenever I've had pedicures here, I enjoy myself and leave happy. They have an excellent polish selection, and all in all the treatment from start to finish is just so good. The place is clean, the staff is friendly & professional, the salon smells like nothing (that's a compliment), the flatscreen is kept on stations like HGTV, and the vibe is calm. The standard pedicure here is $2 less than my regular place, and I feel the former has more value: the pedicure itself is a smidgen more thorough, & the subsequent massage incorporated hot stone therapy AND lasted longer. If you're feeling chatty, the pedicurist will follow you; if not, it's a quiet experience. I tipped 28% yesterday, over my standard 20%. I'll definitely return whenever I'm in the area. read more

Had I written this review before last week - definite 5 stars. Found it on Yelp originally - it's down the street from my office, so it worked out great for lunchtime pedis. Hannah was the BOMB. Just loved her. So imagine my surprise when I called last week to come in and bring 2 other friends with me...I asked for Hannah, was told no problem. When we got there - no Hannah. I asked 4 times where she was and got mumbling. I didn't recognize anyone in there anymore...should have been my red flag to run. Since we were there - we went ahead with the pedis anyway. What a waste of money and time. The guy that did mine about killed me with the massage - I wound up with bruising afterwards - how many times do you have to say OUCH before someone gets a clue. The girl who did my one friend's pedi obviously had never done one before because she kept asking what to do - and my friend had to correct her at least 4 times! When we were finished and went to pay, I asked AGAIN where Hannah was. THEN I find out that she's no longer there. I was super pissed that they didn't say so when I called. Wow, I came here yesterday for a mani pedi and I am addicted! I will NOT be going anywhere else besides here. The atmosphere was upscale, relaxing, and girlie. I really felt I was being pampered. The owner offered me a glass of wine from a list, and of course I couldn't refuse! I got the mani and pedi at the same time by Tracy and Kim... they were fabulous. Paid close attention to detail and my hot stone massage by Kim was amazing! I just cannot rave enough about this wonderful salon. Clean, sanitary, and catering to their quests. Two girls came in AT CLOSING to get full sets AND pedicures... they accommodated them (Although please don't do that people, it extremely rude) Their prices are amazingly competitive. Please try them out for yourself, I will be frequenting this place monthly! *Update 8/15/12* I wish I could say that I still felt the same way about Forever Nails, but sadly I do not. The customer service fell off big time around April/ May 2012 and I have not returned since. Customer service is so very important and if the ladies don't want to be a work, please go home so that I don't waste $100 on a mani/ pedi that I want changed in a few days. This was my first visit here and I checked in via YELP to get the 25% off first visit. I brought my husband who has never had a pedicure before because he is going on a 5 day backpacking trip and needs everything maintained. They were very nice, very busy and like everyone else around offered many options and complimentary water, wine etc. We both found them to be quite rough and by the look of the lady next to me she felt the same. All in all they did the job but said the coupon in YELP for "checking In" was not something they authorized so they agreed to a 10% discount. I was a a walk-in for gel manicure, pedicure and eyebrow wax. Overall, I was very disappointed. 1) Gel manicure was not very good and within the week it was lifting and chipped. After I walked out, it was not very impressive. I chose a pinkish color for my manicure. They must not have done enough coats because it looked clear on my figures. 2) Eyebrows were okay but they made it too thin for my taste. I told the lady that I just needed a clean-up not reshape and I did not want it thinner. Was disappointed. 3) Pedicure - this one was actually very good. The gel pedicure was very nicely done and lasted 5 weeks without problem. It probably would have lasted longer if I had had it taken off and changed. This was good. I can't recall who did my pedicure (different person than manicure/brow). I also noticed they were way under staffed and there were two people who had appointments and the poor girls had to wait about 20 minutes and they had to rush me - probably why my manicure and brow was so bad. Basically, they had 2 appointments at the same time around lunch and only had 2 people working. You would think they would try to staff at least a third person for walk-ins. Friday lunch is a reasonable time that women would take a break to go get their nail or eyebrows done and go for a walk-in. Overall - not very impressed. Will not be returning. They were not terrible and the price wasn't bad and they gave me a discount for future return. read more

I've been going to Forever Nails for a long time now. They recently underwent new management, and I was nervous for a change with my usual nail place. I am so thoroughly surprised and pleased with the new management. They are actually doing a better job than previous years. Tina and Lee are as good as it gets. They know the true meaning of excellent customer service. They also took their time and perfected my nails. I'm very picky when it comes to my nails, and they exceeded my expectations. The best part is that everything is super affordable. Call in to make an appointment; they are very accommodating. I've been to other nail places closer to where I live, when I'm in dire need of getting my nails done and don't have time, and I have been so dissatisfied with the customer service. To me customer service makes or breaks an experience, and forever nails has definitely surpassed all my expectations. Can't wait to be back and get my nails done!! read more

Love love love, Forever Nails! I called to book an appointment after work really late one night and a lady named, Kim, stayed there just to do my manicure and pedicure. As I arrived they offered me a refreshment, and I choose wine, of course. They were all so nice and spoke English really well. I honestly felt more at home than any other place I've been too. The massage chairs are great, the mani/pedi looks wonderful, and it's really decent prices for both combined. I will keep going back forever, haha! read more

I have NEVER gotten such a horrible nail job. I drove all the way there from Las Colinas because they had a great deal and I wanted to get gel nails. In retrospect I should have just paid $10 more somewhere else and got something that lasted. The whole point of gel nails is to have it last longer!!!! The lady that did my nails didn't have a clue what she was doing and it was painful to sit there until the end!!!! The next day I already had chips on my french tips and everyday more and more. I went to this place about a month ago. I was under an extreme time crunch. I had lacquer nail polish on. I needed that removed and I needed a manicure in 20 minutes. These guys were amazing. I had two different people working on each hand. Not only did they give me a very nice manicure in 20 minutes, but the conversation was also great. These guys are professional and do awesome work. The business recently changed ownership, ask for Lee he is very good at what he does and very kind. They offer gel polish, which is a little bit more $$ but well worth it, because the polish is super hard and shiny and lasts weeks as opposed to days. Tina waxed my brows and she did a super job. This place is alright. Mediocre. I would go back. But only if I can't find another place. With the deal, it's pretty cheap. Only about $25 for a Mani and Pedi. The tech convinced me to upgrade to gel nails. They came out beautiful, super bright, shiny red. Unfortunately, pretty things have expiration dates. They started chipping almost the day after. But I admit it was pretty while it lasted. It was also painful to take off...Took most of my natural nails with it. But that's probably because I didn't take them off the proper way. Other than that I really don't have much to say about this place. Nothing extraordinary. read more

I came here about 2 weeks ago when I was visiting Texas from Los Angeles, I was highly disappointed with the service here! Very sloppy...I had a regular pedicure, it was rushed, I had to tell my nail tech to clean globs of polish off the side of my toenail, then when I went to pay they said they didn't honor the YELP 25% off check in coupon because it was the old owners but they would give me 15% off instead and to make matters worse as soon as I got outside and the sun hit my toes, you could see through all my polish!! Walked in this morning, at 11am, hoping to get an awesome service like I read on here. The lady was alone, asked me what I wanted to get done... I told her I needed gel nails, and she directed me to pick a color. As I was picking one, she comes towards me saying that I should come back at 1pm as she was alone (with no other customers in the salon.) She asked if I wanted to make an appointment for that time (1pm) and I asked if I needed one or not... Her answer? Sometimes you do, sometimes you don't. This place is horrible. It looks cute and nice but it is not. They arent very personable or great at customer service skills, the job is horrible. Nail paint literally just slid off my nails a few hours after getting a manicure, there was no pampering or feeling relaxed. It was painful and an all around unpleasant experience. He and I received pedicures and the staff was friendly, unfortunately for me, by the time someone got to me my water was cold and my feet had turned into prunes. I was hesitant after reading the reviews, but Yelp offered a $35 coupon for $25, and I was looking for a mani-pedi that left me with enough money to get my hair done this week too, so I took the deal. So glad I did. I made an appointment for 3:00, at 1:30. Only one customer was there when I arrived, maybe bc the weather was bad and it was on a Wednesday. I was quickly ushered over to pick my toe color, as I was getting an American manicure, then plopped down in the massage chair. Water was already filling up, to the perfect temp for me, no burning and screaming like I've had at some other salons. One lady was a little on the curt side, but the one who did my pedicure was sweet, and she let me prattle on until I settled quietly to enjoy the relaxing experience. I did not find a language barrier to be present with any of the 3 people I interacted with. They showed their appreciation for the $10 tip I left, which I felt was completely earned. I hav been going to Kim for 10 years for my pedicures and she is a warm, kind, person who will take care of you and make sure you have the most relaxing pedicure visit ever. The management is new and they have added some great features to the spa, like wine with your pedi, a choice of beuatifully scented scrubs, your choice, and a modern clean environment. No chaos, no acrylic smell, just relaxation. They know me by name, and they do a great job of service and fitting my appts to my schedule. Try it you will love it! read more

I'm new to the area and wanted to try a salon close to home. Went for a pedicure after work and the place was not busy. Only one other person there. The male who did my pedi cut my toe twice. Never said he was sorry, just looked at me when I jumped and kept going. Pedicure was so short. No massage or scrubbing when I did pay for a deluxe spa pedicure. Worst pedi I've had in years! The color I chose was pretty but once he started, he realized it was almost empty and the polish was clumping. I asked him if I could pick out another color and he completely ignored me and just poured some polish thinner in the bottle and kept on going. Needless to say I won't be back! There are 4-5 salons on Preston right by this place so I have plenty to pick from! read more

Only thing I liked was that the man doing my pedicure did it right and made sure everything went smoothly. Unfortunately, that ended up taking a while and the main lady that works there, I guess the owner, was in a rush to go to a party so she ended up rushing my nails and they ended up messing up and I had to stay longer for them to re-do two fingers because I was not paying $35 for nothing. Also, when it came to the payment I asked the lady if they take out the tip using my credit card or if I just give the tip in cash and give her the receipt after adding on the receipt what the tip will be. She went with the last option. I said OK and wrote $3 as a tip and she said it will be charged without the tip and that I just give the man the cash after my nails are done. The next day I look in my account and see $3 extra taken from the total. So they basically took $6 of tips from me. And the service was not so great to where I wouldn't have minded because the lady doing my nails with her being in a rush, the nails ended up not being evenly filed, and the gel chipped easily after one week only. Will not be returning here and will make sure none of my friends do either. read more
