My truck had to be towed to the dealership while I got a ride home, and he kept me updated and made me feel completely comfortable and confident leaving it in his care. Since my accident on August 12th, my key ring that held my car key, my safe key, and my gas cap keys has disappeared. The car key went to the company that my insurance sent to pick up the totaled vehicle, but they told me there weren't any other keys with the car key when they picked it up. Foresthill Towing were the only ones who removed that entire key ring from my clip before I arrived to pick up the rest of my keys and whatever I could grab from my vehicle. Being that is was not even a day after the accident when I arrived to pick these things up, I was still pretty foggy and did not notice until a few days after. I have given Foresthill Towing every opportunity to return my keys to me. They suggested that the keys could've "fallen off." IT IS PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR A KEY TO "FALL OFF " A KEY RING WITHOUT SOME EFFORT TO OPEN UP A KEY RING AND TAKE IT OFF . FYI- no longer need my helix key. My small safe with court documents, socials, and such, had to be destroyed in order to get the items I have needed for over a month now. I told them they probably shouldn't be removing any keys off key rings if someone is coming to collect their items. Maybe they should wait and do it in front of the owner of the vehicle. Or better yet, ONLY TAKE THE CAR KEY AND NOT THE WHOLE KEY RING WITH OTHER KEYS. Someone there obviously knows what happened to those keys. It's childish to lie about it if you just threw them away.... but since someone is lying about what happened, it makes me think someone has other ideas on using them. That makes me feel unsafe and it also makes me feel like I'm going to get robbed over simple documents that would have no meaning to them. read more

Bad driving habits. On01/05/2026, one of their tow trucks was driving through a parking lot in the wrong direction. The driver made the cars go in reverse to avoid backing up himself. (Note there was plenty of space on either side for a truck with an "experienced" driver to do so.) read more

I am in need of transporting my horse trailer to a shop to replace the coupler, therefore it cannot be towed, has to be transported on bed. I was told they "will not tow horse trailers". Another local tow service, Hall's, told me that would be no problem, trying to do this through insurance and Foresthill is the local AAA service. My young daughter and I broke away 11:30 pm on down Eastbound I-80 and Rocklin Road, and AAA dispatched me to this company. They called right away, and said they would be here in 20-30 minutes. 90 minutes later I still was not picked up. Called AAA to learn that Foresthill called them back and said they were half-mile outside their jurisdiction, and so they weren't coming after all. But no one thought to contact me. This is also a poor reflection on AAA, but they were extremely apologetic. It is now 1:44 in the morning. I called twice to ask them to please reconsider and the 2nd time, the Foresthill towing employee who picked up the phone just hung up on me. The CHP officer waited here with us for 120 minutes and the officer also called Foresthill asking them to come and he lied to the officer that AAA never contacted him. I understand that it might be a jurisdiction boundary issue, but hanging up on a mother and daughter in distress just shows they don't actually care to help people in need. Upon further research, AAA's information says that customer safety is their priority, and AAA allows tow truck service to be provided outside of jurisdiction, so this was just a decision made by Forest Hill towing. Called AAA to get towed on a Sunday night at 8am. They said it would be a 2hour wait. Got a immediately after talking to AAA from Foresthill Towing and they said they would meet me at my car in 90min. An hour and a half later they called me and said they couldn't help me because their insurance only covers cars up to $100k and mine was worth $168k. I told them my car is 11 years old and worth $30k on a good day. I explained there must be a misunderstanding and she put me on hold to call the manager (wouldn't give me his name when I asked) and she came back and said AAA already pulled the towing job and someone else would be helping me. Broke down on the side of the road in bumass nowhere (the map said literally 'murder gulge' not a joke). Called the tow service and they were very communicative, the dispatcher Tabitha was so sweet!! Martin came to tow my car and was very cheerful despite the rather long winded and confusing process of figuring out how to get to me. He not only helped to jump our other car but also climbed back up the ramp to retrieve my wallet from the front seat! A corral of police officers stopped by before Martin came to offer no help or even ask if I was okay. Young unprotected female. And rather chose to yell at me for being too close to the road and have I considered pulling up more? no I haven't, I have no service and my car is BROKEN. 10am said they were on their way via AAA, 1:30 showed up not prepared. We asked for somebody with the ability to check the battery place if needed and or tow if needed. When we asked Troy about this, he said oh you don't need me a tow truck will be here in 15 minutes when we explain to him that we were waiting already for three hours.
