Quick response times, Respectful, and very reasonably priced rates. Love supporting loc businesses in Auburn. Though I never look forward to breaking down, I can always rely on Ken and his crew to pull through to get my vehicle to the shop. Would highly recommend ! read more

So, my truck and trailer broke down on I 80. Nobody wanted to be helpful and wanted me to leave my trailer on the interstate. We called Halls Towing and Kenny came out and was a boss helping us out. The truck was towed to the dealership as was the trailer. There was NO WAY I was leaving the trailer as it had my classic car in it. I cannot say enough good to express my gratitude. He also dropped us off at the Hotel, ( my wife, my dog, and me). read more

First I would like to thank Lance, who came out to our facility to move a rather large trailer. The level of service was impeccable that he provided on behalf of the company, we actually enjoyed the time he spent making sure our equipment was taken care of. So thank you Lance, for doing a fantastic job. This trailer was parked in a very tight location that we were unsure how anyone would navigate out. Luckily, it wasn't their first year in business. We learned a few tricks of the trade along the way. From the initial call to the final delivery we were treated with respect, great customer service, and the most affordable rate out of all nine companies that we called. I know I will need to move it again and I definitely know who I will call. Thanks for the great work gents. Keep up the great work. read more

My BMW convertible got stuck on Iowa Hill Road in the boonies with a broken plastic reservior wate tank. I called several tow agencies looking for a flatbed tow truck to pick up me and my car. No luck...no one would come out to "that side of the river". It is a very narrow, winding road up the side of the canyon with cliffs that go all the way down to the river. Finally, Hall's Towing came to the rescue with Dustin at the wheel. He was terrific and quickly put my car on his flatbed and off we went back down that hill to Auburn. He was awesome and towed me to my BMA mechanic, Ryan at Ryan GMW in Auburn, CA. Thank you Dustin for a job well done. read more

I called in a panic because my husband high center his truck and almost rolled it in soft dirt. Kenny not only made us a priority but reassured me it all would be ok. Scheduled a time to come help, helped calm me down and sent an amazing driver! Lance not only was super nice but the best driver I've ever dealt with. What I thought was a catastrophe these guys had taken care on in minutes with absolutely NO damage to our truck! Thanks guys!! And to add to my satisfaction when my dad rolled his blazer years ago in the canyon Hall's was the only ones willing to pull it out. I will never call anyone else ever again and will be cancelling my AAA and adding Halls on speed dial! read more

Was in Auburn on a motorcycle ride when my bike died. Tried everything but couldn't get it going. Called Halls and said a flatbed to tow bike was on the way. Austin, the driver was extremely professional and a great, friendly guy. He loaded my bike with extreme caution and did a great job securing it. After my first drop of place did not work out, I said just tow to my house. It was a longer tow trip but no problem. Off loaded the bike and put in my garage for me. Very good experience considering the circumstance. Highly recommended. read more

I am a long time member of US Rider and they set us up with Hall's Towing. The location was tricky because of the terrain and the bumpy/hilly driveway. Lance was our driver. He did a fantastic job for a lengthy haul (93 miles) of an old Class C motor home. He was very polite, prompt and professional. What a relief. Thank you. read more

Do you want the best man for the job? Start at Hall's and ask for Lance... This crazy SOB can get jobs done no one else can. I had a 5th wheel on my property for 6 plus years with plenty of new growth creating lots of obstacles. I tried a couple of tow companies before I called Hals with no luck, and by that i mean I literally had tow trucks drive to my property, look around for a couple of minutes, and tell me there's no way they could do the job, they just drove away. I called Hall's finally, they showed up the next day, and thank god they sent out Lance. He walked around for a good 30 minutes contemplating if it was possible, and finally looked at me and said "are you ready to do this". The next hour or so of him maneuvering out of my property and up the half mile easement to the main road was unreal. His combination of skills, optimism and finesse are biblical-level. I described it to him after the fact that it was like watching an artist sculpting or painting a master piece. If you have a difficult tow, start with the best and don't waste your time. Call Hall's, and ask for Lance. Thank you Lance read more

After 2 days of trying through my insurance to get a tow service, and failing or getting swindlers from an hour away, I called Halls, and they came through. They were friendly, reliable, prompt, nice, and were even able to get in and out of my narrow driveway without taking out my fence. They came when they said they would and the person who answered said he answers all the time and takes his phone with him. The quote was just what they said it would be, the gentleman kind and friendly, and they were A++++. I would call them again, anytime. Honest, reliable businesses are critical in our community and I am very appreciative as sometimes, businesses are not this way. Trust is valuable. Thank you!!! read more

Huge thanks to Lance who towed my new 42' park model trailer to it's new home in the foothills. A positive and confident driver with a can do attitude got my trailer safely to its destination and parked in a very tough spot. I thought it couldn't be done, but through patience and experience he made it happen. If I have to move it again I know who to call, Hall's Towing. read more

I got a flat tire while driving on Hwy 80 through Auburn and I wasn't sure who to call for assistance so I checked Yelp. Once I read the ratings on Hall's Towing I made the call to them. Fortunately for me the demand wasn't high and Michael showed up in no time. I couldn't have a more professional and knowledgeable person assist me. He got the job done promptly while providing some useful advise regarding my truck and flat tires. I was so pleased that I handed Mike a $15 as a tip and he politely refused and wished me happy holiday's. Please also be aware the fee for the service was very reasonable. I later called the company to thank them for Mike, and the owner was very professional as well. Clearly this is a class operation and it flows from the top. I learned they have been in business for 55 years and I can certainly understand why! Thank you!! read more

My new (2020) car broke yesterday at a very, very trying time for me. After dealing with said issues, I had to deal with getting it to the dealer to get it fixed. A local tow company very kindly informed me that the towing would be expensive because I'd told them they couldn't get a flatbed into my driveway - based on an experience a few years ago. He also told me that I should go through Toyota Assist to get it towed for free (and the dealer's service dept hadn't mentioned that!). Sure enough, it was covered, but when Michael from Hall's called to tell me he was on his way, I told him about the flatbed issue. He assured me he could handle it - and he DID! What an expert he is, quite thorough, pleasant, and competent. It was exactly what I needed on a day when I was dealing with other sad events. I absolutely recommend this company (and even that local tow company concurred that Hall's was great and trustworthy, when I called them for advice)! read more

Well, another rave review for Lance and Hall's towing. Backing down a steep, slick hill with my truck and trailer, a tire slipped off the road into a situation from which, with my skill set, I could not extricate the rig. Having road service for my hauling rig with USRider, USRider contracted out to Hall's Towing in Auburn California and Lance got the job. I am a grey haired lady of a certain age and I'll tell you, Lance came in like the proverbial Knight in shining armor. With confidence and KINDNESS he assessed the situation came up with a plan and got my rig back on the road. What a pleasure to be treated fairly and to be offered helpful suggestion rather than the glare and sneer that so many tow truck operators of the past have offered up. Thank you Hall's Towing. Thank you Lance. Wish there were more businesses like you around the greater Bay Area! read more

Halls Towing & Lance save our day. We were very happy with the response time. Lance was extremely efficient & personable. Very professional and friendly. Hall's saved our butts big time! We are from the east bay and we're heading to Rollin's lake for our annual family camping trip. All of a sudden the tire blew out on our boat trailer. We called our Insurance company and they were absolutely no help. Feeling frustrated and tensions running high I turned to Yelp. Hall's was the first company with a 5 star review. I called and they immediately sent Michael out to us. He came quickly and was extremely professional and did an amazing job!!! We are so very appreciative of this amazing company and Michael's help. Oh yeah and it was 98 degrees outside!! Back on the road and now ready to enjoy our family vacation!!! Thanks for everything!! read more

Lance is the man!!! I was in my Tesla model S and ran out of battery about 300 yards from my house...like a dummy. Lance knew about tow mode, how to open the nose cone, and that it takes a few minutes for the screen to load up. My wife and I originally called G&O towing in placerville Ca and the lady on the phone was very nice and helpful...but as she was hanging up a guy in the background said"Tesla ?fucking idiots" so we called Hauls in Auburn. Thanks again Lance Phillip & J Freeman read more

I can not express my gratitude enough for Halls Towing and specifically Micheal. I woke up to a VERY flat tire this morning, woe and tribulations. Fortunately for me, Hall's Towing accepts State Farm (my insurance carrier of choice for the last 10+ years) and I have roadside assistance. The time spent waiting for a truck after I called was minimal - maybe 20 minutes? ish? - and once the driver arrived he was cheerful, friendly, and very very efficient. He had my flat off, my spare on, and the flat into the trunk in under 7 minutes. I was SUPER pleased and impressed! I'm always psyched when I find a locally owned and operated business that I can so enthusiastically recommend. Yay Hall's Towing! read more

A belated review for Halls towing who were expedient, and helpful when my son and I were stranded on I-80 February 18 while returning from Skiing. My 2002 Ford Excursion Diesel died suddenly in heavy traffic. It was late in the day and the temperature was dropping fast. I found a good diesel mechanic still open in Rocklin (Adamson) and they recommended Halls. The flatbed driver was focused on safety, was courteous and got us and the truck safely to the shop. It did take a while for Halls to reach me initially (it was a crazy storm weekend in the Sierras) but once engaged the pick up, travel and drop off was an excellent service and the price was reasonable. I had a great experience with Halls! My truck broke down on highway 80 and the CHP had to do a traffic break to help me get out of the center divider and off of the freeway. Once I was to a safe location I called Halls to take my truck up to Auburn. They arrived within 15 minutes and loaded my truck up very quickly. Michael was my driver and he was AWESOME!!! Not only did he tow my truck but he also showed me how to run a diagnostic on my truck to get the error codes. He went above and beyond to help me out. I would give these guys 10 stars if I could! read more

The driver today was profession, friendly and arrived 10 minutes before their ETA. I tried to tip him but he said it wasn't nescessary. Kenny was very helpful when AAA said they wanted to hold my truck for 3-5 days because they may be too busy to bring the truck down from Truckee. Lance is amazing. He was able to haul our 5th wheel out of an almost impossible situation, and he had a smile on his face the whole time. I'm so thankful for these guys (and gals?) :0) I locked myself out of my car twice, running! My car has automatic door lock, and the two times in the past 5 years I've forgotten to unlock and at least roll a window down has been in Auburn. Well, the first time was on one of my days off, I got a hold of Hall's Towing luckily by using a kind stranger's cell google and called them (yes, my phone was locked inside my car at the time), I told them my address and before I knew it, Michael was there getting me back in my vehicle. And now..... To today..... Well this time, was the second time locking myself out! But this time I needed to get to work. Fortunately this time I had my phone in my pocket to search them out. I got Michael again! We laughed over this being a repeat offense. Well from the time I called Hall's and talked to the tow dispatcher - I do not kid - Michael was at my car in less than 10 minutes, 5 minutes later I'm on my way to work with time to spare (whew!). I've had nothing but timely and professional interactions with Hall's. I highly recommend. I now also have them on speed dial.... read more
