My BMW convertible got stuck on Iowa Hill Road in the boonies with a broken plastic reservior wate tank. I called several tow agencies looking for a flatbed tow truck to pick up me and my car. No luck...no one would come out to "that side of the river". It is a very narrow, winding road up the side of the canyon with cliffs that go all the way down to the river. Was in Auburn on a motorcycle ride when my bike died. Tried everything but couldn't get it going. Called Halls and said a flatbed to tow bike was on the way. Austin, the driver was extremely professional and a great, friendly guy. He loaded my bike with extreme caution and did a great job securing it. After my first drop of place did not work out, I said just tow to my house. It was a longer tow trip but no problem. Off loaded the bike and put in my garage for me. I had a 5th wheel on my property for 6 plus years with plenty of new growth creating lots of obstacles. I tried a couple of tow companies before I called Hals with no luck, and by that i mean I literally had tow trucks drive to my property, look around for a couple of minutes, and tell me there's no way they could do the job, they just drove away. I called Hall's finally, they showed up the next day, and thank god they sent out Lance. He walked around for a good 30 minutes contemplating if it was possible, and finally looked at me and said "are you ready to do this". The next hour or so of him maneuvering out of my property and up the half mile easement to the main road was unreal. His combination of skills, optimism and finesse are biblical-level. My new (2020) car broke yesterday at a very, very trying time for me. After dealing with said issues, I had to deal with getting it to the dealer to get it fixed. Fortunately for me, Hall's Towing accepts State Farm (my insurance carrier of choice for the last 10+ years) and I have roadside assistance. The time spent waiting for a truck after I called was minimal - maybe 20 minutes? ish? - and once the driver arrived he was cheerful, friendly, and very very efficient. A belated review for Halls towing who were expedient, and helpful when my son and I were stranded on I-80 February 18 while returning from Skiing. My 2002 Ford Excursion Diesel died suddenly in heavy traffic. It was late in the day and the temperature was dropping fast. I found a good diesel mechanic still open in Rocklin (Adamson) and they recommended Halls. The flatbed driver was focused on safety, was courteous and got us and the truck safely to the shop. It did take a while for Halls to reach me initially (it was a crazy storm weekend in the Sierras) but once engaged the pick up, travel and drop off was an excellent service and the price was reasonable. I had a great experience with Halls! My truck broke down on highway 80 and the CHP had to do a traffic break to help me get out of the center divider and off of the freeway. Once I was to a safe location I called Halls to take my truck up to Auburn. They arrived within 15 minutes and loaded my truck up very quickly. Michael was my driver and he was AWESOME!!! I'm so thankful for these guys (and gals?) :0) I locked myself out of my car twice, running! My car has automatic door lock, and the two times in the past 5 years I've forgotten to unlock and at least roll a window down has been in Auburn. Well, the first time was on one of my days off, I got a hold of Hall's Towing luckily by using a kind stranger's cell google and called them (yes, my phone was locked inside my car at the time), I told them my address and before I knew it, Michael was there getting me back in my vehicle. And now..... To today..... Well this time, was the second time locking myself out! But this time I needed to get to work. Fortunately this time I had my phone in my pocket to search them out. I got Michael again! We laughed over this being a repeat offense.
