I felt a little mislead considering in the photos online the smoothies looked to have normal thickness. The taste was what was expected, like a chocolate peanut butter shake without too much sweetener. My friend enjoyed his but I began to feel a little cheated as $10 for a normal smoothie is decent, but $10 for what we got seemed a little unfair. I truly don't enjoy giving local places a more negative review, but these are just the facts of our experience. I hope this was just a one off experience and we can have a more enjoyable time if we come back.

The food on the other hand was really good. I got the buckwheat pancakes and tried some of the smoothie bowl. The pancakes were hearty and fluffy, topped with a delicious berry chia jam and cashew cream. The plate came with 3 small-ish pancakes which was a satisfying portion that wasn't too much. We were also asked if we wanted maple syrup with the pancakes, but I ended up not needing to add any because the jam and cream were enough. Maple syrup is $2 for a small cup so I would recommend skipping it unless you really want something sweeter. The jam and cream are just modestly sweet which was perfect for me. The blueberry smoothie bowl was also delicious and came with lots of toppings - their granola had a delightful texture. It was a bit of a wait for food, so ordering the breakfast plates is probably not the best option if you're in a hurry, but they have ready-to-eat stuff available if you do want something quick, and the drinks didn't take long. My top picks are the Nutty Cashew smoothie and Green Goddess bowl, but I end up enjoying whatever I get, even when I order outside my usual go-to flavours. They have an extensive selection of protein powders and other supplements - I'm not into supplements besides protein powder so I wouldn't really know, but I find it hard to imagine needing something in that department that they don't carry. Even though I'm not the gym bro that the brand is probably aimed at, and you can definitely tell by looking at me, I never really feel out of place coming here for my smoothies and meals and occasional protein impulse buys. The staff is always friendly.
