Our history with Ford's Garage goes all the way back to when we first moved to Florida. After a long drive from Maryland with Apollo and Kaya, one of our first meals in St. Augustine was at Ford's Garage. We sat outside on the patio, decompressed after the trip and enjoyed exactly the kind of casual, comforting meal we needed. Peter is a former Ford dealer, so obviously the automotive décor, vintage memorabilia and old Ford above the bar were going to get his attention. But décor alone does not keep people coming back. We have returned many times because the food and overall experience have consistently delivered. On our latest visit, we wanted to experience some old favorites and look at the restaurant through a different lens because a new Ford's Garage is coming to the Beachwalk area where we live. We started with the Piston Onion Rings, which come stacked dramatically on a funnel. Crispy, golden and accompanied by ranch and Chipotle ketchup. Peter has tried more than once to duplicate the Chipotle ketchup at home, which should tell you how he feels about it. We also had Edsel's Hot Pretzels, which are large, warm and fluffy and served with beer cheese and honey mustard. The Ford's Pickles were Susan's department. They had a crispy coating and plenty of flavor. Peter is not a pickle fan, so he happily delegated that part of the review. For serious comfort food, the Smoked Brisket Burnt Ends Melt is outstanding. It combines brisket caramelized in bourbon barbecue sauce with sharp cheddar and bacon jam on grilled country white toast. Peter ordered the Model "A" Burger, topped with sharp cheddar, Applewood smoked bacon, pico de gallo, arugula, lettuce, tomato, red onion and a sunny side up egg. It is a lot of burger. The Ford branded brioche bun makes the presentation memorable, and fortunately the burger itself delivered just as strongly. Susan chose the Seared Ahi Tuna Bowl, and this may have been the surprise of the night. We simply did not expect a restaurant best known for burgers and American comfort food to prepare ahi tuna this well. It was served with jasmine rice, avocado, cucumber, pickled red onions and slaw. Very good. Our waiter was terrific and eventually convinced us to try the Brookie Sundae. We had already eaten more than enough. We ordered it anyway. Warm brownie, chewy chocolate chip cookie, vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and Oreo crumble arrive together in a warm skillet. No regrets. The experience earned a 59 out of 60 Culinary Duo score and five stars. We also named Ford's Garage St. Augustine Best of the Best, awarded the Smoked Brisket Burnt Ends Melt our Best Dish Award, and gave the Brookie Sundae our Sweet Ending Award. Who will love Ford's Garage? Families. Burger lovers. Car enthusiasts. Groups looking for a fun casual meal. Couples who want an easygoing dinner. And apparently one couple where one person wants seared ahi tuna and the other wants bacon, cheese and an egg on a burger. We are particularly excited because Ford's Garage is coming to Beachwalk. Our future neighborhood location will need to earn its own review once it opens, but if it follows the example set in St. Augustine, Beachwalk and Beacon Lake residents have a lot to look forward to.
Ford's Garage was an awesome experience from start to finish! The atmosphere is one of the coolest things about this place. The vintage Ford and automotive theme is incredibly well done, with so many details throughout the restaurant that make it feel like you've stepped into an old-school garage. The food was excellent, fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. The service was just as impressive. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without making us feel rushed. What really makes Ford's Garage stand out is the combination of great food, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere. It's a great place to bring the family, meet up with friends, or just grab a burger and enjoy the automotive memorabilia. Definitely one of those restaurants that's more than just a meal, it's an experience. We'll absolutely be coming back!
John and I took far to long to visit this Ford's Garage location- we have been to a couple other locations around the state & knew we liked the vibe, the food, the decor. We had the kids during our visit and truthfully, Riley just doesn't do very good at restaurants (we will keep trying). Lilly loved trying foods! Our burgers were perfect, Riley did eat a fry- Lilly tried the mac and approved. Service was great, cups with lids, extra napkins- very attentive.
First time dining in at this location and it was great! We stopped in Friday night and managed to beat the dinner rush so were seated quickly. Our server was so kind, attentive and helpful as was the hostess and any other employee we encountered. Food came out quickly and everyone loved their meals. Cheese curds appetizer was really good and the sauce was delicious. Would definitely recommend! Plus our son loved looking at the cars all around.
Had a fantastic lunch at Ford's Garage in St. Augustine and it really exceeded expectations. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere stood out right away. The whole garage themed setup is really cool with vintage style decor and a fun, laid back vibe that makes it feel more like an experience than just a place to eat. I ordered a burger and it was excellent. Cooked perfectly, juicy, and full of flavor with fresh toppings that all came together really well. Definitely one of those burgers where you don't feel like you need to add or change anything because it's already done right. The service was just as good as the food. Rick was our server and he was awesome. Super friendly, attentive, and made sure everything came out right without rushing us. He checked in at the perfect times and really made the experience even better. The lunch prices were also a nice surprise. For the quality of food and portion sizes, it felt like a great value compared to a lot of other sit down spots in the area. My daughter had the chicken tenders and she really enjoyed them too, which is always a big win. They were crispy, tasty, and came out hot, so no complaints there at all. Overall, everything about the visit was great. Good food, great service, fun atmosphere, and solid prices. We would definitely come back again next time we're in St. Augustine.
No, I am not in the market to buy a Ford, but this spot is really rad with all the cool models all the way from the 30's and checkout all the refurbished automotive gear all the way to the restroom, so many awesome ideas here. The Estate Burger with fries and the Pulled Pork sandwich with Mac n' Cheese were both really delicious, not too dry on the meats and definitely hit my full tank lol The place is very well-maintained like a car garage and of course, the staff was very friendly, especially our server Ashley who went above and beyond during our visit. It was quite a great experience and we did have fun learning about Ford's history.
We were vacationing in the area and decided to try Fords garage. The atmosphere was so interesting down to every detail like the napkin rings to the bathroom sinks. All related to automobiles. The menu was very extensive and offered something for everyone. We decided on sirloin steak which came with two sides. It was cooked to perfection. My daughter tried the chicken bowl which was full of flavor. Our server was not the greatest when it came to attentiveness, but other than that it was a great experience. We would definitely go back.
I was most excited about the kettle chips and they were the most disappointing... They were not warm and there weren't very many of them. The smoked burnt and melt was good. Kids meals were OK. The pretzels were good. Also the honey mustard was my favorite overall really nice and clean restaurant, but pretty expensive for the value.
Went for early dinner in St. Augustine, FL. The place is really cool inside & is between 2 actual car dealerships. We both had the Model A It was huge & very good. It was cooked as ordered came out quickly. It had bacon, arugula, red onion, tomato & a fried egg on top. It was delicious but I had to eat with knife & fork. You can substitute for onion rings for an up charge. They were very good & the fries as well. I understand it's a chain. They've done a good job. Service was friendly & prompt. They have other things beside burgers too, big menu. I'd go back again for sure.
My husband found this cute place online when we were closeby and it absolutely lived up to the expectations. The theme and decor throughout is so fun and well thought out. It's popular so there was a bit of a wait for inside during the cold spell so we opted for the heated patio. It was warm next to the heater but it wouldn't have been conducive for a larger group to share a heater The food was good - the kettle chips are delicious. We got the kettle nachos and I was not impressed with the cheese sauce so my personal preference is for just the chips. The hamburgers were very good. I got the one with brisket and wasn't a fan of the bbq sauce but I scraped it off and the burger was delicious. My husband and I both agreed that this is on the must go again list. We will definitely go back
great ambience- Ford antiques Excellent selection of burgers. Awesome onion rings. Great beer and cocktail menu. Fun ladies room! Trust me.
The food was fresh, hot, cooked to order. We currently went and tried the new American Cookout menu and it was fantastic. The burger was cooked perfectly had lot of flavor, we also got the rib platter, onion rings and fish which was huge. They make all their own sauces in house and that honey mustard was . Max our server took care of us, always had a drink or food in his hand for our table. Ambiance was busy, always book an appointment or call ahead.

Fords Garage is a fun themed restaurant. They have oil funnels to hold Onion Rings and have an awesome old Ford as their head piece for the bar. We ordered the Pork Nachos- The cheese sauce was good, they left the plate in the oven too long and burnt one side of the plates chips though. However, the portion that was I burnt had a good ratio of cheese and pork to chip. We both got a beer, the beer prices are a little high, mine was 7.99. However, you can expect that at a themed restaurant. The staff did seemed overwhelmed and rightfully so, overheard they were down members. We even had a lady come up next to us and yell at one of the poor bartenders for not making her chocolate milkshake fast enough-she had been waiting all of about 6 minutes.(Rude and uncalled for). props to the young man for handling it professionally. I'd go back maybe on a slower day to try more read more

Ford's Garage is a favorite. They have many burgers to choose from that are all delicious. I haven't gone wrong. We often get the onion rings, macaroni, ribs, fish n chips. It's a nice unique environment. Although the restaurant is usually busy, it doesn't take long to be seated. Only negative is their parking lot. It's always tough to find a spot. read more

I took my parents here for lunch because my father is a huge fan of Ford products specifically trucks and we had heard some great things about this establishment. To start with the customer service was excellent. People that we came across really seem to enjoy their job and you could tell by their attitude. The food was phenomenal! I cannot brag enough about their pretzels I could have made an entire meal off of those pretzels! They were soft on the inside and had just the right amount of salt! The hamburgers came out the way My parents like it, truly medium rare (in other words raw). The nachos were very good, the barbecue sauce really added to the flavor as well as the other special sauce they put on it. All in all this was worth the drive! read more

First time trying this place out. I really loved the interior design with all of the old time signs, cars and gas pump. Every little detail was amazing felt like I wasn't really in a restaurant. The wait staff uniforms looked like a mechanic shirt, light blue. The food was delicious I had the Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese, fried pickles and my girlfriend had the chicken tenders. The Mac and cheese was creamy and noodles were cooked perfect, the crunchiness of the fried pickles was on point and my girlfriend said the hand batter on the chicken tenders was sooo good! Family friendly, staff was polite and nice, great atmosphere. Definitely recommend read more

I've always been a huge fan of Ford. I love Fords garage. I've been to the Lakeland location and this one. Service is always great and Food is always delicious. The portions are very large as well. I'll be coming here as long as their doors are open. Would highly recommend. Probably some of the best burgers. read more

Very cool place - attached to ford dealership and parking can be very tricky bc there are new cars everywhere. It's a car lot! Our waitress was excellent - both burgers were delicious. Ambiance was very neat. I'd definitely recommend stopping here for lunch or a drink! The bathroom was very cool w the tire as a sink and gas pump as faucet. Little touches like that all over - oil rag as napkin - gas handles as doorknobs etc..... read more

What a great restaurant! Especially if you are a Ford fan! The menu is typical American - a nice variety of burger options, chicken sandwiches, strips and breasts meals, meatloaf, shrimp, and a nice variety of REALLY good appetizers! I went with a group of friends and we sampled the Calif burger without a bun, bang bang Shrimp and soup and salad. All three meals were a hit. The side salad is a decent size and the fries that accompany the burgers are a healthy portion. I ordered a medium well burger and got a perfectly cooked medium well, but very juicy burger. The servers were all very friendly. The ambiance is ALL Ford garage items - from the metal clamp napkin rings and shop rag napkins to the tire sinks in the restroom. Worth taking the time to experience it. One fore warning - it is BUSY and you will likely experience a wait to get in. read more

Such a cool concept! We stopped by for a late lunch on a Sunday at 1:20 before hitting the outlets. We were told there was a 45 minute wait, an hour later our table still wasn't ready. I totally understand the wait but recommend getting here earlier if an hour wait might make you a little hangry. Great beer selection on tap. I had the Ford's Signature burger & potato wedges. I also got a side of coleslaw with my burger. The serving was huge & everything tasted really fresh. Loved the design concept. Especially loved that the restaurant was separate & you weren't bombarded by car sales people. We will definitely be back! read more

I have no reason to give Ford's Garage anything less than 5 stars. It is a typical restaurant, much like Chili's. The food was good and our waiter was very friendly. I did enjoy that they seasoned their fries nicely. The atmosphere is fun! I had the sangria margarita, which was about $8. Nothing was disappointed. read more

Went for the first time tonight. We are from Orlando and have never heard of this place. (We just found out there's one in orlando!) Wait time was 45 minutes to an hour. We got called after 15 minutes. Nick was our server and he was great! I ordered a Diet Coke with cherries and the American Standard. My husband ordered a glass of water with the Black-n-Bleu. We usually don't eat dessert but we did tonight. We ordered the funnel cake fries which comes with raspberry and white chocolate dipping sauce. Nick suggested for us to try the caramel dipping sauce. We preferred the white chocolate and caramel dipping sauces. Nick brought my second Diet Coke with cherries which most places don't do that after the first cup. So he got a great tip for that. read more

My son wanted to come here to let me experience it has he already had. There was a line, and they said 30 minutes and surprisingly it was no more than maybe 15 because they move people in and out so quickly. We were seated first available and waited on by young lady. That was spectacular. She took care of us in ways that she could teach Minnie how to serve and wait tables and be respectful. She was quick she didn't watch any of our orders, and I can always say that it made our experience just that much better. Marianne is her name and I would be so glad to have her again and request her even. The burger my son ordered was the Jiffy, which has peanut butter on it, rare and french fries. They cooked to perfection, and what an odd combination, but it definitely worked. my daughter had the grilled cheese and tater tots which was a very large portion for a kids menu. I just had a side salad, which was fresh and crispy. Song I was very pleased and am so glad my son recommended it as I will recommend it to others. It is a menu full of different sandwiches burgers, and honestly just about anything for everybody. read more
We have had this place on our list of new places to try for awhile and I am so glad we finally went today! The vibe is so fun! Love the old cars and the filling station accents! The food was also so good. I got the monte cristo..... perfection! My husband got the black and blue burger with a side of the bacon truffle aioli and it was so good. He did say my tater tots were better than his fries. My son got a grilled cheese and my daughter got a kids burger. The fruit that comes with the kids meal is the good stuff... blueberries, strawberries and oranges. Drinks come with the kids meals. The only thing we didn't love was the hot pretzel appetizer. I will say in this area we have a lot of really good hot pretzels so the standard is really high. I will order something else as an app next time. Service was amazing! If it wasn't for the pretzels I would rate 5 stars! Great music too! read more

My babies and I love this place . The first time we went there it was a school night. We were pressed for time so didn't really get to enjoy the place or take pictures. But one thing we all agreed that the food was good and we need to go back. Fast forward to this weekend. We got to go back Saturday after visiting the Lighthouse and the food was delicious. The wait was forever and a day. Being that it was Saturday and it's saint Augustine. We literally waited for an hour before we finally eat. We just won't go on a Saturday afternoon ever again. I'll wait till night time. The first time we got to sit inside. It was nice. This time we got to sit outside and the weather was perfect. Already thinking about when I'm going back read more
I showed up and happened to find a great parking spot someone was pulling out of, but the parking lot was packed at 1pm. I walked in and was quickly seated as I had made a reservation online. Thank goodness cause lots of parties were waiting to be seated. Seems like they were turning the tables fast though. Anyway, the server brought waters while I waited for my friend to arrive. My friend and I kept getting sidetracked talking, and so it took awhile for my friend to decide on her meal choice. The waitress was so pleasant and patient with us. I ordered the Green and Clean with onion rings. What a delicious veggie burger. I appreciate they actually make the patty there versus a frozen patty that taste like cardboard. You can sub a veggie patty for any of the burgers too. It's nice to have more vegetarian options. The onion rings are what would make me come back!!! Those were some of the best onion rings I've ever had! They had the perfect crunch and the batter stuck to the onion perfectly. Amazing! My friend ordered wings and seemed satisfied. The vibe was lively, but my friend and I could still hold a conversation with ease. We took photos with the cool model cars out front as we were leaving. We will definitely meet here again. read more
I was having work done at Gander RV & Outdoor, and the salesperson suggested I try Ford's Garage next door for lunch while I was waiting. I have to admit, my initial thoughts of eating at a mechanic garage were not what I thought. I walked over through the Lincoln dealership and found this gem of a place. The restaurant was crowded, but I was seated immediately. The serving staff was attentive and friendly. The menu selection was extensive. There is also a full bar with lots of draft beers on tap. I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich, and it came with coleslaw or a large selection of other side item options. My sandwich arrived quickly and was almost more than I could eat in one sitting. I tasted the coleslaw, and it was excellent, but I could not manage to eat it with the sandwich size. My chicken was spiced perfectly and cooked well. I have to say; this was one of the best buffalo chicken sandwiches I have had in a long time. I was so impressed with the service, selection, and food that I returned with my wife on our trip to Daytona Beach two days later. Fantastic concept and excellent food. If you are near the outlet mall or heading up or down Interstate 95, this is a stop you will enjoy immensely. read more

My first Fords experience was in Naples Fl and it was great, but not as good as this one! I'm so glad we now have one close to us!!! My husband and I went yesterday (Saturday)around 4:00 and were seated right away. Our server was great. Liz, I believe was her name. I ordered a Back Seat Driver and it was amazing! My husband ordered Lincoln punch and it was so small that he finished it in like three swallows you can see it in one of the pictures i posted. He then ordered the Back Seat Driver. I actually ordered another one too . We both got bacon cheeseburgers, I got the wedges and he got tater tots both ordered crispy and they came out perfect! We will definitely be back, I'm actually thinking about applying there, I liked it that much read more
