We wanted a simple Italian meal at an unpretentious place. Buona Forchetta opened this new place on El Camino Real in one of the many shopping centers. If Italy and New York had a baby, it would be Forchettabouddit. I had seen the sign driving by and wanted to try it and it definitely fit the bill. You order at the counter, but the staff was personable and friendly. We ordered a Caesar salad, penne pasta with meatballs as well as four different slices of pizza - Brooklyn, Queens, Tribeca and Mulberry Street. The crust was crispy but also soft, the ingredients were fresh and everything was yummy. The pizza slices are pretty large and we were full. Just when we were about to leave, Lucca came out with fresh cannoli. Everyone really enjoyed them, especially my dad who LOVES cannoli and he said they were the best he has had. I wish I could recommend this place because the food tends ti be very good. However the service is absolutely terrible. They are continually understaffed and the wait times are embarrassing. Add about half an hour to whatever time they claim your food will be ready whether dine in or take out. read more

Absolutely amazing pizza. It doesn't look particularly nice from the road as it's in a strip mall, but it's very cute on the inside. They have a small, comfortable patio as well. Really taken aback by the quality of the pizza. Service was also very polite and fast, even though it was fairly busy, with a large party outside. I will absolutely be returning again! read more

Loved the pizza, and I'm a Chicago Italian. This is more traditional New York style, but I love the hand tossed dough, the fresh ingredients, and the friendly staff. We walked in early on Friday and the place was jammed. Within 30 minutes. Lots of takeouts, and the pasta looked delicious. We actually got a free glass of wine because the waiter accidentally brought us the wrong one, which was quite gracious. We will be making this a regular stop. read more

If they could get their act together a four star rating possible. Every time you dine an inconsistent experience. Last two visits - iced tea available no Italian sodas. Sandwiches were not as good quality wise as previous visit. Pizza slice and salad was enjoyable. Next visit - meat ball sandwich with very little sauce causing dryness. Eggplant was sloppily placed on the roll 2 pieces on one side; one on the other with sauce dripping outside of roll. The roll was of poor quality. read more

Excellent! I've been to Buona Forcetta in Leucadia a couple of times and wanted to go many more times but it was too crowded and the wait was too long. This place with the same owners and the cute name Forcettabouddit will be my new go to because they have the same great food (smaller menu) and as of now you can get right in! Super nice staff and very cool large pizza oven like they have in Leucadia, indoor and outdoor seating. We had a pizza, pasta bolognese, Caesar and garlic bread, ate til we were full and had enough to take home for another feast tomorrow! read more

I struck out twice, eating here, but 3rd time was a homerun. First visit, ordered the ceasar salad, way too much dressing. The lettuce was drowning. Second visit, got the eggplant parm sub, eggplant wasn't thoroughly cooked, I couldn't bite through it. It was like leather. Third visit, I decided to try the pizza, since that is apparently what they're known for. We arrive, sit at a table, waiting for a server. Suddenly about 25 people come in for a party, and got in line to order. I don't think any of them had been before, as they all asked many questions, which made the wait a long one. There was only one girl at the register, and one person helping her serve the food. Once she got their orders, she came right over, apologized for the long wait, took our orders, apologized again. I've never seen people hustle as fast and hard as these two, and the guys in the kitchen were crazy fast! They got those people served as fast as humanly possible. They all deserve a raise! Three other tables sat while she was taking the long ass orders from the party people, and she did her best to tend to everyone. That party was ridiculous to each order and pay separately, they should've ordered a bunch of pizzas and salads and split the bill. It was their fault all of us waited so long, obnoxious. The pizza was excellent, the bruschetta should be on a thicker piece of bread so it doesn't get soggy so fast, and the garlic bread also is a tad bit lacking. My friend got lasagna and loved it. First time and we were NOT disappointed. So happy to have this near by. Love the one on the 101 but this was just as delicious. We had a variety of food and all it was perfect. We ordered our pizzas for pick up and arrived at the time they stated would be ready. They were ready but for how long? Probably quite awhile as the pizzas were lukewarm when we got them home. It was awkward as we had friends over so we decided to microwave to warm them up which is never as good. The crust seemed different from Buona Forchetta's but when we warmed the pizzas up in the skillet, they were delicious. We loved the Mulberry Hill pizza and enjoyed Cobble Hill & Bleeker St. pizzas along with two orders of meatballs. We'll go back but will eat there rather than picking the food up. read more

Pizza tasted like it was made day before, then heated up. Crust was so tough could barely cut it. Disappointing.

The concept is good but execution was sketchy. I should have known better considering I'm from the East Coast but when a pizza shop offers any combo of toppings by the slice, it means that the toppings are going to get dumped onto a premade pizza and then reheated. And that never tastes good. We would have considered returning to order a whole pie, but the outdoor seating was filthy and so we will not be going back.
