Love love love this place. From the espresso martinis to their delicious pizza. The service was amazing The ambiance is so cute. Perfect for a date night and the location is perfect right in the middle of the heart of encinitas. Parking: i recommend you park behind the restaurant by the trolley station.

What an opening week! Our experience there was perfect and I never expect much of anything in the first month of a new restaurant but these guys have it down. The former DXT is now Isola, a pizza and Italian restaurant. The decor inside is lovely, very upbeat vibe and chic. Nice bar and smaller pizza bar to sit at with comfortable indoor table seating also. The service was perfect and cheerful. Water was always refilled. Our server, T, was just so friendly and helpful. Didn't try any of the very tempting and varied Italian appetizers but we will next time. We came for the pizza. Nice cocktail list and wine list. Partner really enjoyed the red wine that was from the family winery. Excellent Neapolitan pizza options. Reasonably priced menu options. Most people were ordering pasta when we were there and all looked delicious. We had the DOP buffalo mozzarella margarita which was amazing. Love that Neapolitan style that is not overly spiced or salted. Also tried the prosciutto and arugula pizza (minus the truffle oil which I just don't like) and it was also great. Love that they also have chili oil made with Calabrian chilis! Try that if you like crushed red pepper on your pizza...it's way tastier! No room for dessert but some lovely options including tiramisu and panna cotta. So we had a wonderful experience (they do take reservations) with ambience, service and food. I cannot believe this is their first week. They have a winner here. We will be returning often. The other Neapolitan place in Encinitas has some fierce competition now with Isola!

Great service and people (though one person did say to not trust the tap water so we can pay for the more expensive sparkling water) and good food overall. It was pretty warm inside from the pizza oven fyi but they have open windows at the front. The serving size of everything was on the small side so for a group of 6 we had to order 3-4 pizzas with an appetizer and pasta to feel full enough. Because of that it was on the pricier side so maybe better to go for a date to share.

Great addition to downtown Encinitas!! Yes, there's many pizza options, but only Isola has a Neapolitan pizza oven! All our food was DELICIOUS (and served piping hot)! I loved the spicy salami pizza and rigatoni ragu! The pasta is made fresh and the pizza dough is fantastic, just the right amount of chew! We can't wait to go back and try more menu items! Great service too and they did a really nice remodel here. We'll be frequent diners!

The experience was fantastic from start to finish. Sonia was responsive over email and accommodated several changes in a timely manner, despite also pulling double duty as the on-site manager and server at our event. On the day of the event, the team arrived on time and was incredibly helpful and positive, even while navigating a tricky setup and getting their mobile oven parked in a very specific location. Most importantly, the food was incredible. We served artichokes, meatballs, prosciutto and tomato bruschetta, along with the Regina, Augusta, and Sergio pizzas. Everything was terrific. The food was so good that the chef received a spontaneous round of applause from our guests! I couldn't have asked for a better catering experience. Good communication, a wonderful attitude, and truly exceptional food. Highly recommended.

We both would get them again. (Although I forgot to ask for low sodium. Next time I will) Then we got the dessert flight. Really good choice. We liked the tiramisu the best. We came here on a wim as I knew most restaurants would be packed on a Friday evening. There were plenty of tables available for our party of 4. Decor and vibe were nice. I can imagine hosting a brunch or something in their outside patio. Carpaccio was good as was the Greca salad. We had the formaggio Pizette as well but my kids didnt like it bc the cheese was too fancy lol, but I thought it was good was the honey drizzle. The tagliatelle bolognese had a good sauce but was disappointed it wasn't tagliatelle pasta. They used linguine. I was mega excited to see Uni linguini on the menu but it was a bit too fishy for my liking. I prefer my uni linguini to be a bit more creamy. Overall, it was good. Might have to try their brunch but I think it was different twist of Italian food than I'm used to. But again, loved the entire staff. Everyone was nice and helpful!!! Which makes it worth coming back as you don't get that kinda service most places anymore.

We called and asked if we could walk in and they said they would hold a table for us in the back patio, and if a table opened up in the front they would seat us there. We got there about 10 minutes early and nothing up front was available so we got seated in the back patio. They said they would move us up if a table left soon. Thankfully, about five minutes later, we were able to relocate. No joke, that back patio is depressing if you see how bright the front room/patio is. I'm very thankful for our good luck. The food was great, and service was pretty attentive. Interestingly they serve different types of complimentary bread -- what you get is pretty much random. The shrimp barca appetizer was quite good. We got a bunch of pastas and the standouts were the pomodoro and vongole. The sangria was also pretty good. My daughter said she prefers this place to Piatti in La Jolla, which is a tradition for us whenever we visit. So they definitely want to return here when we come back. I'll have to remember to book a reservation early.

Think of going to your friend's home who has great taste in décor, with a twist of flair. The warm amber lighting really sets a comfortable tone. For dinner, we ordered the following: Sashimi Mediterráneo: Melt in your mouth delicious. Chicken Paillard: Perfectly lemony and beautifully roasted. The salad was fresh and paired really well with the chicken. I loved the blistered capers. They went great with both the sashimi and the chicken. Dessert: Basque Cake: A soft, multi textured, biscuity French Spanish cake with vanilla pastry cream and sweet cherries. The pastry cream is baked in perfectly. It has an almost creamy cheesecake like texture, and paired with the vanilla ice cream, it was amazing. My girlfriend and I just wished there was a little more ice cream. It would have balanced the dessert even better. I'm definitely coming here again and again! I want to try their Patatas Bravas, Paella & Kabocha Soup, but I also want to get what I've ordered. We were seated pretty close and got the pleasure of feeling parenthood vs no kids. Silently rolling my eyes and wishing I was seated elsewhere, thankful they left. My appetite was met with the burrata and cauliflower appetizers. I started with a white wine and was told it was a Sauvignon Blanc from Santa Maria. After tasting the wine..
