This is a gorgeous cafe with beautiful interior design. The cafe incorporated a shop with artistic cards, accessories, mugs, and plants. They have indoor and outdoor seating. If I live in town, I would come every week for their coffee and enjoy the aesthetic of the cafe. I ordered iced americano. CAN I JUST SAY THIS PLACE SHOULD SELL PLANTS?! First, please go inside and admire the gigantic, almost 9+ ft fiddle leaf they have. It's about the healthiest fiddle leaf I've ever seen and frankly FANTASTIC looking. Second, observe the delicate balance of a phenomenal plant display to the right with the quaint seating areas to the left. Everything in here screams Restoration Hardware meets HGTV renovation show. I loved the style so much! Of course, let's talk coffee. The baristas here are friendly, and excellent at their craft. My flat white was perfect, and their cold brew packs a punch. They have Little Wolf coffee here, which typically amounts to unique roasts I enjoy immensely! I highly recommend this place, and one last gold star is for their fantastic outdoor area. It almost looked like it was a converted gas station (perhaps it is?) but they have a HUGE awning for outdoor seating with, again, a ton of planters. Coffee is yummy. Their eggs on toast are fluffy and delicious. The location is very sweet and it's a great spot to grab coffee with a friend. I have had a time or two where I have experienced great service, but mostly I come in and feel like I am interrupting something between the employees here. They don't speak to you when you order and generally seem a bit put off that you are there, which stinks. I think if the service improved just a bit this place would be my new favorite spot. read more

Seasonals are hit or miss. Pumpkin Cove Latte- for me way too much clove and not enough pumpkin. And it felt like half the milk was missing based on how watered down it tastes. This place definitely passes the vibe check. I love the style & design inside. The people were pretty stellar too. There was a seating area outside but it was full so we didn't explore out there much. We popped in for our first visit on our way to volunteer this morning & they were packed! Street parking only but we got a space right across the street so that wasn't too bad. Their brews definitely cater to a more grown up crowd, we skipped the beverages (so my daughter & I could order drinks together) & went straight for the pastries. We ordered the brown butter chocolate chip cookie, the vegan brownie & the friendship bread. My daughter inhaled the cookie leaving me a mere morsel so I know that was delicious. We had never heard of friendship bread before & now we will never forget it. It was so delicious. We both took a bite, looked at each other & said "this is so good". I am technically vegetarian but primarily eat vegan 99.99999% of the time. I only occasionally try things that contain dairy when exploring with my children & they ask me to give their treats a small taste. So for myself I ordered the Vegan brownie. I took one bite but wasn't able to finish it. It was very oily & also very hard. Between the texture & the feeling of the oil in my mouth it wasn't for me. Passing through town and seeking out something local and special in a sea of 'bucks and bros. Happy to have found Forage. This sweet shop has taken over an old gas station and really brought the cute and relaxing vibes. Big shaded patio and stylish interior. Our barista was an absolute sweetheart making the experience easy and friendly. The cold brew is delicious, flavorful and nuanced. And the herbal tea was delightful as well. I have been here a few times now, always with my laptop when I need a change of scenery to finish some work. While they get busy at times, I've always ALWAYS found a place to sit (even if I have to wait a few minutes and strategically hover a little) without much of a wait at all. The coffee is real tasty. And I always get the scrambled eggs on toast. Seriously - how is that so delicious? I have tried to recreate this at home, and cannot. While I would love to give this place a good rating (coffee is decent, I love their logo, and the space itself is pretty cool), the fact that they seem oblivious to a health crisis and won't comply with state mandates is disturbing. I went in to get a hot cocoa (which was tasty but NOT hot), and there wasn't a single mask on any staff (didn't see any on customers, either.) I almost turned and left, but I was really hoping for a warm beverage. Stopped by on my way up and back from camping after a friend recommended it. Great spot to grab a coffee, sit outside with my dog and relax. I ordered the cortado both times and loved it. I had a pastry too, but don't remember what, just that it was delicious. Staff was friendly and welcoming which was a plus. The bathrooms were clean and easy to use. Driving through and wanted to try this place as i see on yelp and google reviews that it's one of the best coffee shops in Medford. I did read that there are days when some workers do wear their masks and some don't. It just depends. I want to really like this place, HOWEVER, none of the workers wore their masks. None. I find it odd that the workers don't adhere to it, but the customers are required when entering the shop. I do give this place 3 stars because the homemade biscuit sandwich with the roasted pork belly was fantastic. The cappuccino and the complementary seltzer was delicious. Thankfully we stayed in the corner where no one was around us. It could have been a 5-star place only if the staff would wear their masks. read more

Consume at one's own risk We aren't local, just passers-through on our way to the East Bay from the Portland area. Upon entry, we noticed a small strip of masking tape across the door with the quote written in thick sharpie, "Wear a mask. -Kate Brown," and I wondered if this choice was serious or sarcastic. The inside of the cafe itself is very cute--aesthetically pleasing. It's your typical modern hipster minimalist aesthetic adorned with plants. It's very crowded and busy on a Saturday morning. At first glance, the 2 employees working the counter were masked up. Customers crowded the inside tables and it didn't seem there was really reasonable distance between people to give them space to eat or drink unmasked without risk. There was a lot of seating available outside, but it was scarcely occupied. We are on the road, so we ordered our coffee and food to-go, and continued observing the comings and goings of the customers. After we found a place to sit and wait, 4 of the 6 customers who walked in after us came in unmasked. One of them started striking up conversations with other (seated) customers while he was walking around waiting for his own order. Fortunately, he didn't approach us as we were "camped" in a far corner. Eventually, a young guy emerged from the kitchen and handed us our order. I was alarmed and disheartened to see that he was not wearing a mask as he approached my partner very closely. I couldn't help but wonder if he had prepared the food... I can only assume he did. I found it intriguing that the visible counter employees were all wearing masks while the less visible kitchen employees were apparently not. It's as if the restaurant was trying to give an appearance of hygiene and safety while not actually being hygienic or safe in terms of COVID-19 precautions. All that said, the food and drink was very good. I had an 8 oz vanilla latte with oat milk. They were very accommodating to make me an 8 oz by special request, as their actual small is supposed to be 12 oz. I also had the eggs on toast meal and it was quite tasty. My partner had a black cold brew, which is said was tasty, and one of the better cold brews he's had in awhile. He got the pork belly sandwich for breakfast. It smelled killer and he generously let me take a bite. The sandwich, we both agreed, was delicious. I really appreciated their perfect biscuit. So bummed, went in about a week after the mask mandate was reinstated and not a mask in site. Not a single employee was wearing a mask not even on their chin. And I was the only customer in line wearing one. They have excellent coffee and a wonderful space but the week this happened we literally had FIVE hospital beds at RVMC and the National Guard was called in! At what point are you going to care?! I've been here on and off ever since they first became established. Between the pandemic and moving out of Medford, it's been difficult to come by often, sad to say. Today, I went in and got a matcha latte and an avocado and toast breakfast. I never tried out their matcha before, but I can confidently say I'm addicted. It's not watered down like at most coffee places in SO, nor is it overtly sweet. Perfect balance of flavor. The avocado toast was delicious. I liked the pickled onions especially. The service was nice. Cashier was a friendly fella. I like coming into places where I'm not judged because I don't happen to be a morning person, haha! The atmosphere is laid back and pretty welcoming. Ambiance is on point. Looks amazing since the last time I was in. I would really like to be able to tell you that this is a great shop. Local owner, small business, etc. I saw how the owner was trying to say he didn't understand about people complaining of no masks. They weren't that kind of establishment and of course they took public safety seriously. With the owner making those statements we went to try and support the local shop. Walked in and literally none of the employees were wearing any type of face covering. Plastic shield on glasses that do nothing? Nope. Literally nothing. Open faces via 2019 again. I'm not just talking about one employee but every single one. All 3 behind thecounter and everyone in the kitchen that we could see. We turned around and left without ordering anything this time. We've been in the past twice and it was nothing special. Coffee and a breakfast if it was convenient would be all this place was good for but it left nothing to be sought after. You would not be having cravings for anything from Forage just because you have been before. Mediocracy paired with flaunting public safety laws makes it very easy to avoid.
