I want to start by saying that I really wanted to like this place. The people who work there are really nice, and it's a local spot, which I love to support. The overall ambiance of the shop is lovely and very creative. With that said, our experience was a bit mixed. My wife and I both didn't love the coffee or the food. Their cold brew just wasn't great--it didn't taste like it was brewed properly and felt a bit off. The sweet, blended drink tasted somewhat artificial. We went back a second time, tried something new, and got a bagel, but had a similar experience. That said, I can see the appeal of this place, especially for the atmosphere and friendly service. We might try it again next time we visit Medford. If we do, I'll update this review. read more

Quick review because I had ordered the coffee ahead of time for pick up so not as much to add on facilities- First impressions on the building was it was very beautiful and clean and they were very friendly! The ambiance is like cozy cafe meets southwestern architecture. I got the basic PSL and was pleasantly surprised that the flavor was good but not like SO MUCH PUMPKIN. The service was fast from the two wonderful baristas - very friendly. I'm visiting my sister from out of town, but if I lived here, I'd totally use one of the three locations to do my remote work and become a regular. I'm also a fan of spots that have multiple sizes (I love my almond milk!), and that have up to 24 ounces. Lots of creative smoothies too. I recommend! read more

This is possibly the most charming coffee shop in the Rogue Valley with a big stone fireplace on the right as you walk in the front door from the parking lot, the colors of Tuscany relax your eyes, and the fragrance -- the magical fragrance -- of fresh roasted espresso delight your senses. Found a good one! Didn't mean to scare you when the first thing I asked was "Is your coffee strong?" That's because I've had some pretty unimpressive coffee the last time I came through OR. You were nice enough to say your coffee was really good, flavorful and not bitter (yay!). I got a 16 oz. dark roast and headed out the door. The first few sips were indeed flavorful. Michelle is the only reason I'm even giving this place a 2 , she makes wonderful coffee and is always so friendly. The other workers need more training the coffee is horrible. They are disrespectful and correct you when you order coffee correctly, I was a barista for years. I CANNOT get enough of their coffee shake called the Dancing Elephant Shake. It is RIDICULOUSLY delicious. I get it with two shots and no whipped cream. I've been here a few times and can now day I've had a pleasurable experience each time. The service has been good and the workers always nice. The atmosphere is exactly what I like, the music isn't too loud, and there is even a little semi closed off area that would be good for studying or reading. It's also very warm feeling with a lot of pleasant colors and textures. This is a great find right before flying out at the airport. Such a cute coffee shop, really nice size patio, also lots of space inside for sitting in groups or by yourself. There's a lovely gas fireplace. The coffee is roasted locally by the company, and sold in store along with a variety of snacks and beverage options. I like this coffee shop. It's spacious and has great Wi-Fi. I ordered an almond milk latte which I was satisfied with. I also had the turkey pesto croissant, which I liked as well. We are really happy to discover this gem after landing in Medford. It is 5 min from the airport and after an early flight in definitely what we needed to wake up for the rest of the day! We were greeted by super friendly baristas who were willing to explain all their speciality Italian drinks I had not heard of. I decided to go with the delicious Bella Tazza and my husband got the Bella Miele. The Tazza has cocoa folded into the expresso and cream and the Miele has honey and cinnamon. We were both so happy with the drinks, staff and crazy atmosphere we are here again on before our next flight. read more

The big issue with this place is that it's as noisey as a class of 3rd graders on Skittles and meth.. the chairs scrape on the tile floors making this horrible finger on a blackboard noise and the espresso machine projects noise to the ceiling that reflects throughout the place.. I have had Mellelo coffee and it is good. The two star rating is about their pricing. Ordered a small breve this morning. Who looks at prices when you know what you want. Admittedly, it has been a while since I have been through the drive thru. I paid no attention to price and shame on me. When I got to the window a small breve was $5.50. No other coffee shop charges that amount. I was floored to think the price for a drink that cost less than .90 to make out the door is being sold for $5.50 for a small. I can only imagine a large might be $8.00. This price is honestly so over priced, they are doing a disservice to themselves. Sorry for the negative review, but your prices are way over board. read more

The coffee is okay here. It's a darker roast than I prefer, and the espresso is a bit more bitter than my preference too. The prices are high. I rarely go here because there is no punch card and the prices are higher than even Starbucks. The service is just okay. No one ever is very happy, or bubbly. First impressions show a pretty, Italian coffee shop. Sunny, well lit seating area with a few tables and small (not super comfortable) corner booths. A more secluded study-type area to the side. Regulars exchanging pleasantries and students diligently focusing on their duties. Italian decor and such on the walls, with a section displaying various coffee making methods, and of course, Mellelo coffee bags. Ordering was neither pleasant, nor disappointing. The lady who took my order seemed stressed and somewhat unhappy, leading to a stressful and somewhat unhappy experience on my part. I also noticed that there were two baristas making drinks at the same time, leading me to believe the coffee was not dialed in to perfection, but rather made with the same recipe everyday, regardless of taste. I chose to order an 8oz cappuccino. It came very, very dry, despite that I didn't order it that way. I suppose it was meant to reflect an Italian style cap. The foam was less than tasteful and honestly kinda nasty. The espresso itself confirmed my suspicions of a standard, never changing recipe. I imagine the coffee beans were also burnt during roasting (an attempt at a "dark roast" I guess). On top of all that, I received a paper to-go cup instead of a ceramic cup. I imagine it was simply because they were out of clean cups. No big deal, but still disappointing. Overall, I can't say I would like to visit again. I'm sure it is a shop that can be appreciated by some, but I was certainly not impressed and would not recommend this shop to anyone. read more

I am amazed this place doesn't have any reviews. I can sum up my experience in one word - WOW! Cool layout, tall ceilings, a fireplace, roomy, great color combinations - lots of thought went into designing this place! This is a very clean and well kept coffee shop, with great coffee. They have free Wi-Fi, and appeal to the business community of Medford as they are a great place for holding one-on-one meetings. Tucked away behind Costco/Walmart, it's a great spot to meet prospective clients, or work on your laptop. They had a very broad selection of coffees with tons of different flavors, plus biscotti, sandwiches, and some other items. It felt completely out of place for this area as it has a very modern and touristy feel to it. Maybe its proximity to the airport appeals to travelers who stay in the nearby hotels. If you are looking for a cool coffee shop in the area - go to Mellelo Coffee. They are now open til 7 pm every day of the week. read more
