I've had Rogue Express three times in the last six months, and all three experiences were pleasant. The blended drinks are great, and you get three shots of espresso in a 16 Oz! I had a blended caramel mocha, with a drizzle of chocolate and caramel on the cup!!! What I like about their drinks, is that you can actually taste the coffee! I arrived at 5:26 and they were currently serving someone when I got there. As I approach the closed window they put a closed sign up and walk away. I then step aside to AGAIN check there hours. Google said six so I go knock on the window. They proceed to tell me their summer hours have them close at 5:30. It's January... I take my phone out and tell them it's 5:28 and POLITELY ask for a medium hot chocolate with whipped cream. They make the hot chocolate so hot it burns my mouth on the first sip. I used to go here all the time but a very reliable source told me how dirt it actually is. Maggots in the coffee grinds, make the girls use the same towel for the floor on the counter, the ice chest is never washed and has mold around the inside. read more

We sometimes stop here on our daily commute from Grants Pass to Medford. While the coffee is usually sub-par it works when I need caffeine. This AM I got my 4 yr old a mango smoothie. Immediately she noticed that it had a bad taste. I tried it and it tasted rotten. It left a horrible after taste in my mouth. Three other people all confirmed it tasted terrible. I called, not even to get my money back but just to let them know that something went wrong with that smoothie mix. The woman on the phone was rude, never once apologized and stated she had no idea what happened because nothing was expired and they don't use real fruit. I won't be going back and I recommend avoiding it unless you like fermented smoothies. read more

My wife and have came through this coffee shop for years now daily and sometimes twice in a day. They always made our drinks with care and we're very pleasant. That's all changed now and for the last week I can't get them to make my drinks right amd when I ask them to specifically make it the way o would like it not o pay do I get an attitude and rolled eyes following a statement that it won't be made right . Then to follow there not made to my specifications which isn't a large request od variances it's merely a way to ensure my coffee is drinkable so it does not burn my mouth and or have to wait an hour for it to cool down enough to drink. I will return to hopefully get these fixed but if I can not I will no longer be supporting this business. $6-$12 dollar 5-6 days a week adds up for the last 4 years . Plus tips. The first time I went they refused to give me the right stamps and I went today for double stamp Wednesday and she gives me 3 stamps when I should get double! I am rating this establishment based on the belief that 3 stars is average and that is how I felt about Rogue Express. An average espresso based coffee drink. It was good, but not exceptional. The staff is friendly. The one thing my husband and I found odd was this: we ordered a drip coffee and they said they did not have drip coffee, only espresso drinks. Ok, no problem. We'll have a double espresso. They asked what size we would like. "Two shots of espresso," we reiterated. "So," they asked, "a 12 ounce?" "Ok?..." The double espresso tasted and looked exactly like drip coffee, which was good for us because that's what we wanted anyway, but if you are expecting a nice strong espresso, this is not it. We also ordered a Breve which was good. Their menu listed all of their available flavors which was substantial. Maybe as many as 20 and included things like Melon. Had a vanilla latte and it was not good. The coffee tasted burnt. And I have to question the quickness of my order. I asked for soy milk and they gave me my coffee in 30 seconds. I'm sorry but that makes me question if they gave me someone else's leftovers cause usually it takes a bit longer when they have to make it with soy milk. I could be wrong.
