I searched high and low for a groomer for my dog who didn't have the best experience in the past. I'm glad I have found For Pets Sake! Forewarned, they are pricey. However, the fee is worth it knowing your 4 legged family member is right outside of your home and being cared for. You can't put a price on peace of mind. Jamy was prompt in responding to my text messages and informed me of her no-hidden fee for the service. Both Jamy and Shannon did a fabulous job and my pet knew she looked good and was not afraid to show off to my neighbors. I have tried a few mobile groomers in the past with mixed success. After finding 'For Pets Sake', I was put at ease just by my initial phone inquiry. Being a little skeptical that any groomer could really be that good, I found that I was so totally wrong and that they really were that great...superb! . Jamy arrived it the most modern and decked out palace on wheels and was so terrific and comforting. I knew I was in great hands. To my extreme delight, it was by far the best bath, haircut and experience my baby dog and I have ever had. Jamy totally delivered and exceeded any and all expectations. My doggy is little (a Maltese). However, my niece has a 75 plus German Shepard and I gifted her with a nice day with Jamy. OMG, amazing. And they come to your house? How awesome is that?! This grooming gal on wheels is heaven sent as I have 2 of the most stubborn little toy pups who simply wont keep still long enough to get groomed and with her natural love for dogs, she seemed to work her little magick on them and they came out smelling nice, well groomed with the softest hair....you rock, Jamy!!! Not only does she come to you which is so convenient, but her truck is so nice n clean with all the equiptment she needs to care for my little ones. I felt confident that she used the top of the line products and even gave me a few suggestions on how to care for their daily hygiene in between grooming visits. I almost didn't call bc of the reviews on Yelp, but I am so glad I did. My dogs have never looked so good. Yes, a little more expansive, but very worth it! My Rottweiler- always has shed and for the first time I can pet him without getting a handful of fur. My Pomeranian has been getting shaved and no other groomer has explained to me that this was wrong and bad for her...until now. Jaime is very knowledgeable! She might come late, but after she left us- I understood why. She spent so much talking to me and explaining everything with each dog (i was a nervous mommy). Thank you for your service. I got a list of groomers from my new vet and chose this company simply because of the convenience of mobile service. Although I know that mobile services are usually a bit more expensive, I was completely shocked when I got the total. They are WAY overpriced. I told her when booking the appointment that my dog was a rescue with an abusive past and that it was only his second time being groomed. I knew that it was not going to be an easy job, and I wanted them to be prepared. She did a terrible job of trimming his hair, one side of his beard was noticeably shorter than the other. She said that he was growling and she did not want to continue because she didn't bring a muzzle! She also refused to shave down my older dog, stating that it would look terrible. I told her I knew what I wanted and had him shaved down in the past. She still refused to do what I asked! So, let me shoot this straight.... She did not do what I asked, she left my other dog with a terrible hair cut, AND she still overcharged me! I won't be using them again. read more

This was a while back, maybe last year, but I just can't get it out of my mind that I need to write a review to warn people about the horrible experience I had, so maybe you can avoid traumatizing your pet and yourself. This business changed hands a few years ago, and Lisa was great, but the new owner was not. As another review stated, "hours late... over-charging, and awful". It took several attempts to schedule, including more than one time that she cancelled the appointment at the last-minute. Ultimately, the appointment took nearly two hours, whereas Lisa was typically done in 30 minutes. She even enlisted our help to hold our terrified, yelping-in-fear dog. I never want to see an animal in so much terror again; she should have ended the grooming session at that point. To top it all off, we were over-charged as if a two-hour appointment is necessary or normal. All that said, the haircut itself did look really good, but definitely not worth the hassle, trauma, and cost. I can only hope that if this business is still around, that they have learned from past mistakes and improved, although judging by the most recent review on here... I would be cautious. read more

I have two older dogs ... A Mom and son duo. Both dogs haven't been groomed since the early spring including nail trims... I called For Pets Sake and a few days later, up pulled the mobile van. I had concerns that the oldest dog would even leave with her, but off they went. She came back smelling fresh and clean and her fur looked amazing. We had more concerns for the 105 pound son. She wasn't sure if she could make it work ... well not only did it work, but he came back smelling like a dream and his coat never looked better. Because we were in the middle of a construction project, our two wire-haired terriers had not been groomed in several months. They were dirty and matted, but my husband, who usually grooms them, just didn't find the time. Neither of these dogs has ever been caged, except for when they were spayed/neutered a number of years ago, so I didn't want to take them somewhere where they would be surrounded by other nervous dogs or caged. So, I hired Lisa. She was here this morning and came in the house to meet and greet the dogs. She squatted down to pet them and let them smell her and kiss her and then she lay down on the floor and let them play with her. Now, what dog wouldn't love that? They went happily out the front door with her and didn't look back. When she brought them in, they smelled and looked like new dogs. When she left, I think that both of them would happily have gone with her! read more

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS MOBILE GROOMING SERVICE!!! Jamy is absolutely amazing! She groomed my 13 1/2 year old dog and was soo gentle, kind and sensitive to all his aches and pains. She was very adaptable to grooming him however he was comfortable since it is hard for him to stand. She even got down on the floor with him at one point, just soo he could lay down and she continued to work on him. When she was done, Oscar looked unbelievable, smelled soo good and his fur felt like silk. He was such a stinky mess when she started and he left her van with his head held high because he knew how beautiful he looked. Her van is state of the art and such a comfortable, stress-free and peaceful atmosphere for our Furbabies! I highly recommend Jamy and we will be using her for all our future groomings. read more

Our almost-13 year old "baby" had not been professionally groomed in a number of years given her anxiety issues, and despite our attempts at keeping her tidy, we needed help. Enter Lisa and For Pet's Sake mobile grooming. She pulled up our driveway in her magic van at 8:30, gave a friendly greeting to the humans, had a brief doggie getting-to-know-you, and off she went with our granny dog in tow. Slightly less than an hour later, the freshest smelling version of our dog that I have ever seen re-entered the house. She was completely and utterly happy and unfazed by the experience (compared to totally freaked out after a trip the groomer). No stress, no muss, no fuss. And can I say again that she smelled amazing? Not perfumey or artificial...just clean. And 2 weeks later, she still smells clean. Truly remarkable. She also tended to get skin rashes after a trip to the groomer...but not after this wash. I don't know what miraculous soap Lisa uses, but I love it, and I love that we can now have our dog washed in comfort and without stress and anxiety -- all for a very modest amount more than a middle of the road groomer would charge. read more
